I have an upcoming interview for an internship in Japan and I’ll be tested on my Japanese skills so I’ve been prepping...and I thought your tip about “just keep talking” was so insightful and interesting, and I think that would make a huge difference in conveying your oral proficiency in any language. Thank for providing these helpful recommendations. On my third try, I ended up obtaining a score of Advanced-Mid. I went up two full levels from Intermediate-High. I definitely used your tips in my preparation and even decided to do my own video of my experience with the OPI and OPIC.

I am fluent in Spanish and my parents speak Spanish with me but I am still nervous because I need to get a score that gets me 8 credits to complete my associates degree 😅. This made me less nervous

does anyone out there know where there are more posts about the various or specific OPIc questions? examples? like a blog or a newsfeed? just curious. i'd like to speak to a variety of individuals about their experience. the OPIc seems so different from the telephone interview. my students are asked more "newspaper article" questions -- questions requiring that they state an opinion or idea and support it with evidence. (so this is not a role play or a problem/solution type question --it's more like persuasion.) for example, a former student said she was asked about what she thinks about her local "ministerio de transporte" and maybe 3 more things in regard to the "ministerio" and how it serves her and the local population. thanks in advance.
