  • In todays video we take a look at how you reassemble a Colt Woodsman that has been completely taken apart. People often work on taking a pistol apart to clean it, then are not sure how it all goes back together....

I was just watching "The Lincoln Lawyer" after Matt gets shot in the end by the woman the camera pans over slowly and shows a 6" woodsman with pearl grips ....who ever thought of this was for sure a "gun guy "

Brilliant presentation and well explained. I'm not sure that I'll ever disassemble my Woodsman to that degree, but a tremendous resource if I do

They are beautiful firearms. They don't make them like that any more.

Craig, I justed added a "Wolf" spring set with the help of your excellent video. It's amazing what $8 can do for a 98 yr old pistol.

Now I see where Bill Ruger got his Mark 1 design idea as far as the hammer spring is concerned, not the Nambu type 14. Thank you Mr. Browning.

Other than the fact that the trigger pivot pin was installed upside down, a nice video!! Will function either way, but rotated 180 degrees, the "plate end" of the pin will sit flush with the frame. A common enough error since only aesthetics are affected.

The Colt Woodsman was the first gun I ever shot. I couldn't of asked for a better gun to start with!

They are a great gun that has definitely stood the test of time. They just don't make classic guns like them anymore.

@@CraigsGunChannel it was my great grampa's. It has a lot of sentimental value, he served under General Patton in the Mechanics Division in WW2 as a sargent. He was also big on hunting and if you didn't guess, cars.

Probably the best place to find parts would be Numrich gun parts, you can find them online. They have a lot of old parts for a variety of firearms.
