The food, architecture, colours of the interior decor and on the mosque's dome and buildings are amazing. I think this is your best so far. The people seems so generous and accommodating.
I have a constant grin the entire time I'm watching this. This is so amazing! I left Baghdad 26 years ago and to see this side of Baghdad makes me so happy! Thank you!! And lamb fat! Brings back memories
I truly enjoyed it was an epic one!!! I love your Iraqi series. The food is incredible, and I enjoy watching the guys cook all the different dishes. They are fast, and the food looks appetizing. I get hungry every time. It was adorable when they made a heart with on the sesame roti. The market was beautiful. This entire episode was a great one. WOW, beautiful.
Everytime I see one of these videos it puts a smile to my face seeing foreigners look at our wonderful culture through art hospitality and food It shows the bright side to our situation and its my favorite part of the country
The oldest recipes for grilling meat and fish since the time of the Sumerian civilization south of Iraq are in the British Museum, and the first cookbooks written in the world; It was written in Baghdad during the time of the Abbasid civilization, and it is available on the Internet and can be downloaded.
@@try2justbe Misunderstanding exists at all times and places. Yes, cultural influences cannot be denied, and this is a human issue. With regard to Turkish cuisine specifically, the Turks do not have a heritage in cooking because they are mainly shepherds who live in the Central Asian desert, so they learned a lot from Iraqi cuisine, and not the other way around.
Books ..lots of merchandise...affordable breakfast... Shisha... fun way to relax, when Tasos says ...so were friends now...this was so heartwarming. Beautiful video David Thanks as always and stay safe on all your travels.
GM David: just finished watching this video and I must say that this one excited me so much. You really have to visit a country to understand it's people and their customs. I loved the market and I was saying, David I need one of those leather wallets and handbag. They are so beautifully handcrafted and made. And now for the food: boy oh boy everything looked s-o-o-o good and appetizing. What a feast!!! Those juices are so refreshing, I drink it the way you drank i t, right down the hatch in one shot. And you were talking about 115 degrees Fahrenheit, so yeah, that's hot. Anyway I am excited to see the next one. Brandon was right that this series was going to be exciting. There is so much more to comment on but I have to call my sister in Trinidad now. So have a great World Cup day today. Ole, ole, ole, ole, ole, ole. Enjoy the game.🙏🕊️❤️🇹🇹🇨🇦

Just a reminder for History, the place where they had Tea and Shisha, was almost completely bombed back in 2007. The old Owner lost 4 of his Sons and a Grandchild. His wife lost her ability to see cause of crying for so many days. We want to be alive again but at the same time we should never forget the souls that we have lost in the black days.

I think that its important that the west recognises their atrocities against the iraqi people first before Iraqis can forgive and forget. The country is still suffering the consequences of the western invasion of Iraq.
No its not! Weed is still taboo in iraqi culture and was non existent before the US invasion in 2003. This is heavy tobacco mixed with fruit flavour, I've had it myself. Its not the same as the hookah your potheads in the west smoke.
Jaafer speaks English..but have no knowledge about anything things. no food names..no food ingredients..no what exact food eaten together no historic or geographic information .. he only looks very hungry every single moment 😅😅😅😅😅

Yet many of us Iraqis think that we got those dishes from outside influences ie Turkey, Iran, india etc..all while it's the other around!🙃

Those print on the leather wallet are traditional iraqi art style that depict folkloric images/stories and some were arabic calligraphy styles.
Iraqi food should be included in the UNESCO list
