I watch a UA-camr there. She use to own a very popular ice cream store but sold it recently. I recognized the area you showed us. She showed her viewers the same spots you showed us.
You just made my evening. I was a little sad because my newest granddaughter is in the NICU right now and seeing a new video notification from y'all made me smile.
I was hoping I would see you here. I'm sorry that Letty is in the NICU but, that's where she will get the best care. I'm sending love and healing energy for Letty Roselynn, her mommy and your whole family ❣️
The beautiful mural wall is actually a flood wall to protect Paducah from flooding of the Mississippi River. I visited there a couple times while doing cruises on the Delta Queen steamboat. Paducah is known for the Quilt Museum. You need to put that on your must see for next visit.
My knowledge of Paducah is limited, but the one thing I am positive about this city is that it is known to be the quilter's capitol of the whole eastern United States. Quilters travel to Paducah like going to Mecca, for anything related to sewing and quilting. I wonder whether you noticed anything related to that while you were exploring Paducah.
My sister-in-law’s Mother was raised in a little town near Paducah. She and her sisters moved back there & lived beside each other until they all died.
We came into Kentucky 2 years ago this month & our 1st stop was Paducah. After only 3 days, we decided that this would be our new home & came off the RV fulltime lifestyle. We've not regretted ot one bit, we love the town & the folks here.
I’ve been a Top Chef fan for years and love Chef Sara. She talks a lot about her town and it was awesome to see it. So happy to hear you loved her restaurant. What a fun crossover in my fandoms. 😊
A friend of mine is from Paducah. She never told me it was such a cute town. Thanks for showing me where my friend is from. Another friend of mine is from Lexington. Can’t wait to see that town too. Looks like you guys are having a great trip! Safe travels! P.S. We need footage of Daisy Mae every video! 😊
I have watched y’all for years! My husband and I also have an rv and do a lot of traveling. We took one of your recommendations and stayed at Carolina Pines in July and absolutely loved it! So, imagine my excitement when you are in my hometown of Paducah!!Wish I would have known you were visiting our sweet little town. So proud that you loved it so much!
My BIL is orig from eastern ky. They were so poor, the family left and moved to mi for jobs. This is where I met him. Lovely people. Knew somebody else whose wife was from Paducah. Had no idea it was so cute. TFS. ❤
When I was young we stayed in Paducah. It was on the hwy. heading back to SC. I’ll never forget the huge guy at the motel desk. He had a gigantic ring with keys around his neck. We were stunned, but we laugh about it now. The town looks amazing!
In the building by the train is a tow boat museum you can go in and check out how it all started and how it works. Lots of cool stuff in there, also a boat driving simulation.
I cannot get over how fun it is to see my home state through your all’s eyes!! 💙 My husband use to work in Paducah, and Kirchhoff’s Deli was one of his favorites for lunch. They have amazing sandwiches.
Loved it! The “seconds” Bunky said he was in Indiana…pretty sure was in my city of Jeffersonville IN, right across the river from Louisville! Another quaint, historic town worth seeing is Madison, IN, not 45 min from there, and Clifty Falls State Park🌿
I am from Greenville, MS, home of the original Doe's Eat Place! I now live about 15 minutes from there across the Mississippi River in a small town named Lake Village, AR. It sits on the largest oxbow lake in North America, Lake Chicot, formed by the Mississippi River! Also, Harlow's Casino on the Mississippi River in Greenville is owned by Churchill Downs! I've enjoyed watching your RV journeys so far and look forward to many more!
So fun to see you enjoying areas close to me!! Patti's is 1000000% worth seeing at Christmas BUT make reservations early. They book up most of the holiday season. We always went for Prom, Valentine's Day, or my Birthday which is in December. Paducah is about an hour from me and it is so fun. Next time maybe you can take the horse and carriage ride around downtown, they always tell some of the history. There is also a fun little Axe Throwing place, bourbon bars, and rolled ice cream!! Fun to see this through the eyes of someone not from here. :)
Go to the quilting museum, even if you don’t quilt ( I don’t) it is amazing what people (women and men) do with a needle and thread! There are quilts that looks just like paintings. Also the wall was built to prevent the Mississippi River from flooding the city.
Many recommendations to visit the quilt museum, we’ll have to plan on doing that in our next visit (hopefully someday soon)! Thanks for watching and we hope you have a great week! 🥰
You were right. Paducah is a neat town. We hit it when BBQ on the River was going on an the river boat American Queen was docked. Grabbed some food and sat in the shade along the river.
So glad you enjoyed our town. In the summer on Friday night we have “Paducah After Dinner”. Live music and performers on the streets. That red fenced area behind the wall is a bandstand. It’s a great town.
Hey guys! I used to do a little lady’s hair and she was from Paducah Kentucky! She would tell me all about how she grew up there and lived on a farm. Naomi was her name and she has passed away now but I actually met her in SC. Isn’t it a small world! Thanks for sharing! Safe travels!
I loooooovvvveee hearing about you all’s trip to Louisville. It sounds so divine! I’m living vicariously through your eyes. Thank you both for sharing with someone from Northern California.
Awesome, we’re so happy to hear this and appreciate you sharing in the adventure with us! Also, hoping you stay safe with the weather impacting your area 🙏🏻💛
We love Grand Rivers and Paducah. There is a place at Grand Rivers that overlooks the river and there are a pair of Eagles there. We love going up just to see them.
These 2 videos of y'all in my neck of the woods have been soooo coool!!! I live in Murray. It is only 40 miles from Paducah. I am so glad you all loved it!!! You will absolutely LOVE Lexington. If you like KY Bourbon you should try the Bourbon Trail. Did anyone tell you about the Cocaine Bear?
My heart is smiling 😊 my hometown is Paducah. I've lived in GA only 5 yrs. Im a new follower to your channel. Love all of the adventures!!!! Be blessed!!
We are docked on Lake Barkley in Eddyville, KY! There is more to do than Patti’s but it does occupy the majority of Grand Rivers. Especially, if you’re not boating. Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley both serve as weekend getaways for many of us in the Evansville, IN area. I wish I had known you were there. We would have loved to have met y’all!
I love Paducah! How quaint! It’s beautiful! Now, tell me where you got your little blue top that you were wearing that day. It’s so cute and it looks cute on you! Thanks for bringing me with you guys. My first experience in Paducah. Or Kentucky for that matter. Oh yes girl, chess pie! You can make it! It’s easy! Omg! The wall! I love it!
Kirchoffs bakery is so good. I live in Paducah. On top of those buildings you were looking at are penthouse apartments or B&Bs. They are always working on the murals. We used to get food and go down to the river on a picnic.
Love your videos, cooking and camping!! Been to Paducah this past February. My friend I went with is a quilter and there is a ginormous fabric store there!! It was great!! I see you and your momma wearing these cute earrings and you wear them a lot in different colors and I wonder where you got them. I love them!! Thanks for all the entertaining videos. Gotta love The Bunkeys!! ❤
So glad you've had such a great time in KY. We live in Southern Indiana, along the Ohio River, which is in KY. We've enjoyed trips to the lakes and Patti's and we're in Louisville often because our son and his family live there. Only a couple hour drive from each place. I look forward to seeing your video of Lexington. It's been years since we've been there but I love the horse farms! ❤
There are so many great distilleries in KY! We have been to several and will be going again in Sept. I’m sure you are already way down the road or I would recommend a couple. Lol. I have never heard of that little town but it was super cute! Love town like that! Safe travels! - Mike and Shelley
Jess, when you said you were in Louisville, I got excited! I shouted at the computer, "go across the bridge to Indiana!" 😂 and Bunkey said you took the bridge over and back. I laughed. It's easy to get confused down there. I'm in central Indiana, and we go to Louisville several times a year on our way to Destin, FL where my niece lives. It's been fun "traveling" with you two.
I've been so busy the last little bit, I didn't realize you were coming to Louisville. That's my hometown. I now live on the farthest east part of the county now. I could have had a whole list of favorites!
Kentucky looks like a great place to go on adventures! I am so glad that you got your tire monitors on, as they are great in giving you warnings before you even realize anything is wrong with your tire! We were on a very busy highway going into Washington DC and a loud alarm went off regarding a tire losing pressure fast, so we immediately were able to exit the highway before our tire went flat. There was barely a shoulder to pull over on the highway, so we were thankful for a safe place to change our RV tire. Safe travels! I really enjoy viewing your adventures! :)
There for a second I thought you guys was in New Castle, Indiana . The Downtown area and building look a lot alike, also the theater is built about the same with a small walk way in between the buildings. The only difference is the color of the theater in New Castle is red brick.
Paducah has a wonderful Quilt Museum and a Quilt Fair once a year. If you are a quilter it is a not to miss place but if you are not a quilter, check for the dates because it is very crowded everywhere during the festival!
If you come back to Kentucky come to Rough River Lake. We have 4 campgrounds around the lake. We just camped at Axtel this weekend. You could eat at Porgies. It’s super good.
OMG! You're in my area. Wish I would have saw sooner you guys were coming through here. Paducah is great and there is much to see. Hate it I missed meeting you guys.
Hey my Bunkys....So happy to see y'all... Your my Ray's of Sunshine....My husband is from Louisville...He lived a block from Churchill Downs Kentucky is a beautiful state...Enjoy and be safe...love you guy's...
Lol they are going to the river front. We have something similar in Cape Girardeau. It can be closed when the rivers to high so it doesn’t flood the area. We go through there all the time going on many camping trips! Guess we need to stay there an explore. We live in Cape Girardeau, will Jackson it only 1 1/2 hrs from here
While y'all were in grand rivers, did you miss green turtle bay in grand rivers? The thirsty turtle at Green turtle bay as a couple is our hang out spot :) our son lives in grand rivers and we live the next town over. Sooo wish we could have taken y'all out somewhere! Love y'all and your channel! PS we are not from here but live here because of my husbands job. I graduated from myrtle beach high school in 1985 probably before y'all were born lol your channel makes me feel like home 😊
I'm from central Indiana. 40 yrs ago my Dad had to go back and forth to work in Paduca. He LOVED that place and talked about it for years. It was nice to see your video if it so I know why he loved it.
We have the tire monitor system on our reflection too! We’ve always had on all the rvs we’ve owned. Last year 1st trip in new 337rls took the monitor that we have in the truck inside to charge & it went off saying one of the tires was loosing pressure! Brand new camper & already having problems lol. That monitor saved us from having to stay late the next day looking for a tire repair place!!
Whew, glad to hear it worked and helped keep you safe! The TPMS definitely made us more comfortable for travel days and we’re a big fan so far! Thanks for watching and have a great week!
@@chasingsunsetsrv I don’t know about your system ours will send us new batteries once a year for free, just pay like five dollars shipping. Because of where we live we don’t camp in winter hubby takes the batteries out & puts fresh ones in the spring
Bunky was coming on all of the corn that you saw in Kentucky and the reason probably that there is so much Corn in Kentucky is because that is where The majority of bourbon is made in the United States and for it to be bona fide bourbon It has to be a certain percentage of corn which is quite high. I'm hoping 1 day to get to Kentucky to do the bourbon trail! Lots of beautiful distilleries on gorgeous grounds lots of history and bourbon
A UA-camr I follow use to own Craving The Curls...Rolled Ice cream lol Waitng to see if you go there I see that area on her channel all the time lol Her momma is on that wall from the hospital she worked at hahahaha I know alot about it Glad y'all had a great time
One of the locals at a restaurant we ate at told us about Paducah being the quilt city, we definitely need to check that out on our next visit! Thanks for watching and hope you have a great week! 🧡
I live just across the Ohio River in Metropolis, IL. Also we come to your area every couple years for a camping rally. I could give you tips for the this area if you are still here. Also one of our favorite places to eat in your area is the Hot Fish Club!
Fort Massac State Park is just across the river from Paducah. Maybe 4 miles from Paducah. After you cross the Ohio into Illinois you are driving over part of the park.
Stephan Curtis Chapman is from Paducah
I watch a UA-camr there. She use to own a very popular ice cream store but sold it recently. I recognized the area you showed us. She showed her viewers the same spots you showed us.

I've never wanted to go to Kentucky, but these vlogs have changed my mind!
You should someday if you get the chance, it was a great time! 🥰
