- Follow us as we begin the build of some custom racking for our latest van, a LWB Ford Transit Connect. We have previously racked out our Transit Custom Sport so thought we would film this one for you to follow along.
We are security systems installers by trade so will be designing the racking to suit our needs.

I’m not sure what kind of trade you are in, but if your craftsmanship is just like your van build, you are definitely top notch. One of the best builds I’ve seen.
He’s a Spark pretty obvious
I would like to see you change lamps in back lights and to get your wheel jack etc out from the side hatches.
Good video but the music and all the flashing video stuff is too much mate. I like a well edited video but just when you see an interesting part in the back of your mind you are waiting on it being cut short or flashing to a different view etc. It's overkill mate. Still good video but overkill.
Brilliant 🎥 mate 👌🏻. Looking forward to part 2. 🙌🏻
Lovely job guys 🙌
Lads lovely job and good work well done
Assume keep them coming 👌👌
Proper job!
Nice Video ! Great content!

Some salty ball bags on here. Pro job
Do you do this as a service ? Great skills and attention to detail , would love this to be done to mine ...
Nice 👍
Genial esa camioneta
Süperrr 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Epic
I need this.
Very nice. What are the drawer latches you’re using?
How did u fix the first long ladder dividers to the base wood? Vans Looking great!
Good skills mate looks the nuts 👌🏼 where did you get the threshold bar from what’s it called please?
Should have gone to Sortimo or Bott, it would have been legal and added a lot less weight than all that timber!
But it costs thousands and it’s not to there exact needs
@@lennontaylor6344 yes it is 100% to their exact needs, that's the point.
Stupid question but just about to rack my first van out and would rather get it right. How are you securing the upright bits of wood on either side of the ladders in the false floor around 1:19? Pocket screws? Long screws going all the way through the wood into the floor? Toenail joining it? L brackets? I can figure out the rest on what I want to do to my van but it’s just that bit I can’t wrap my head around
Nice video 👍🏻 we’re you get the drawer sliders
Does anyone know where to get those cabinet stoppers
Tidy job guy's, Youve lost a lot of payload using 18mm sheathing ply.
I used 12 mm plywood on the floor and painted with floor paint and 9 mm for all my racking then trimmed the edges with aluminium angle to add strength worked a treat and didn't compromise to much payload.
Honestly people carpeting their racking is mad. Hope you do clean work
Can you you do similar thing to my van, happy to discuss cost etc..
cheese
We're these full days or how many hours did it take total?
Ugh couldn’t make it to the end chav music was too much was enjoying the build though
How much weight does just the racking add in each van?
A lot! You don't even get a ton on either of those vans anyway so your below 500kg!
@@stuartcraigon2003 wow the answer is a lot. That helped I would never have worked that out 😂
@@Bugoutvehiclesuk get yourself to Sortimo or Bott and get legal customised and light racking.
Theweescot ..... And don't mention it to your Insurence company when they ask.....has been fitted with racking because if you say yes they will bung an extra 20 % on your policy.......
Mattttteeee just bought my nee transit connect and would happily pay for this. Something you do ? I’d travel anywhere for that level of quality how much would this cost ? And if you don’t how much it did this roughly cost many thanks mark bristol
Go to Sortimo or Bott, timber racking isn't actually legal.
Why do UK buyers of trades vans insist on barn doors ratrher than a lift up tailgate. Do you like getting wet whilst finding stuff in the back? Barn doors make sense if you are a delivery driver or fork pallets in., but make little sense as a trades person.
Just think of all the weight you’ve added before you actually put anything in the van to do a job!!
That music is utterly nauseating.........
