With recently enhanced galleries, the museum offers a dynamic and immersive journey through Malaysia's history, from ancient times to the present day. Officially inaugurated on August 31st, 1963, by His Majesty, the Third Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Syed Putra Al-Haj Ibni Al-Marhum Syed Hassan Jamalullail, Muzium Negara stands as a testament to our nation's progress.
Adorning the museum's facade are two magnificent murals crafted from Italian glass mosaic, providing a visual narrative of Malaysia's evolution. Spanning 109.7 meters in length, 15.1 meters in width, and reaching 37.6 meters at its central point, this three-storied architectural marvel houses four distinct exhibition galleries celebrating Malaysia's diverse heritage.

Step into the Early Malay Kingdom Gallery, which chronicles the rise of Malay states and the illustrious Malaccan Empire, a pivotal center of the spice trade and Islam's spread during the 15th century.
