happy to see Hudson Lee featured here :) also since you mention Voljum, if you haven't heard it, that guy put out a pretty nice mini-album just a couple of weeks ago called "Global Tourist Assembly" which you'd probably like (it's basically just more of the same stuff as what he did on that Dayscapes EP a few years back but with more tracks)
So cool to see my recommendation make the video!! (Sam Blasucci) He does all of the instrumentation on the album aside from the saxophones, which I find really impressive. I can totally see the early FJM comparison too, it's no coincidence I'm also a big fan of Fear Fun lol.
As you mentioned Christopher Owens just the standard singer-songwriter, a man & his guitar - but he's such a great songwriter, every song is distinct & memorable. Hope he's fine, I read recently about all the plagues he had to go through. Cuni sounds interesting, don't mind a little Midwest EMO
As someone who was totally bought in on the Girls hype, sure is nice to hear Chris totally knock it out of the park. His first couple of attempts after the group disbanded were uhhhh not great.
