[2021] Matterhorn Bobsleds (Both Sides) - 4K 60FPS POV | Disneyland park, California
Вставка
- Опубліковано 8 чер 2024
- Matterhorn Bobsleds attraction at Disneyland park in California shot in 4K 60FPS both sides! Matterhorn Bobsleds, or known by some as Matterhorn Mountain, is the first tubular steel coaster to have ever been built not in just Disneyland, but in the entire World! This thrilling alpine adventure takes you up the Icey Slopes of the Matterhorn before sledding your way down through sharp turns, sudden drops and a terrifying Abominable Snowman! Matterhorn Bobsleds may be an old attraction at Disneyland, but it is still a very thrilling experience for any souls brave enough to venture up it's slopes! Though this attraction is rough and may lead to some mild pains for some guests, Matterhorn Bobsleds, or Mountain, is an attraction every person who is visiting the Disneyland Resort should experience at least once!

The only thing I worry about now is the yeti screaming at me
The yeti is just mad like, who's riding bobsleds through my house
The videos on theme park rides are intimidating
The Matterhorn has become one of those rides where you worry if it's still safe
I said the same exact thing yesterday lol
They pressurize the tubular track to find cracks via leaks and it’s janky banking is a fun quirk of being the first tubular roller coaster.
@@chaseman113 Okay
No kidding. I went on that once, I believe it was after COVID-19 ended and I was pushed to go and man, it wrecked havoc on my neck
Gotta love the dude shrieking on the Tomorrowland side! Almost makes me want to go on the ride again but my joints definitely couldn't handle it!
That has never stopped me lol
@@caljones I've tried going on it in the past decade and I just can't anymore. I have a degenerative condition that attacks my joints so this ride could very much dislocate something if I were to go on it now.
@@KassMcCormack oof, that really sucks. My joints only suck sometimes, so I tend to be okay on iy
@@caljones It used to be one of my favorite rides. But last time I went on it back when I was in college I could barely walk after. I genuinely miss being able to go on it. I can't even do Space Mountain anymore either because after I went on it last month my knee and hips felt off from having to contort to get in and out of the ride vehicle because of my height.
that “ dude” is a little kid lol
THE SWEATSHIRT QUOTE KILLED ME
If I was on the same cart on the Tomorrowland Side, I would've lost it from the guys screaming 🤣🤣😭😭
Thank you for bringing the disney magic to people who miss it and cant go. It genuinely means so much to me.
Ikr miss going
i don’t wanna sound like some spoiled brat but we got tickets for green day (which i’m appreciative and happy for) but know we don’t have enough money to go to disneyland for a while :/
2:06
That's my favorite part of the ride since the audio gives the effect of the yeti pushing your bobsled in the dark
It seems like part 2 of The Matterhorn on the other side had more thrills. Maybe it is just me.
It's not just you, the Tomorrowland side is well known amongst fans as the rougher, slightly longer track.
@@coasterjudge I have been on the Tomorrowland side long time ago and I recall it being more thrilling yes.
So if I’m afraid of roller coaster I should enter at Frontierland? Thank you
@@luvpinkhellokitty I'm sorry, I'm a little confused by your question.
@@coasterjudge I plan on riding Matterhorn but which one is less fast? This will be my first time riding it (just to see if I like it). I’m not into roller coaster. I tried The Mummy, The Toon town coaster I got little dizzy when I came out too. But I can deal with Indiana Jones and Simpson’s. Thank you.
Is it just me or does the Tomorrowland side seem just a little bit more intense than the other?
Most Disney Fans say that the Tomorrowland side is more intense than the Fantasyland side
I honestly think this ride would be cooler running both ride vehicles at the same time, going by another sled in a lot of the side by side sections would e really cool to see, but I imagine they don’t do it this way for safety and convenience
The first time I rode this last year they actually rode both vehicles at the same time so I got a sweet duel. But that was just chance. Most of the time I think they're just running the cars as soon as they can, as often as they can to get people through the line, so that means rarely do two get sent at the same time.
I’m my opinion the left side is the superior side
The Matterhorn is one of my favorite rides.
Smoother ride - Fantasyland Side
Bumpier intense ride - Tomorrowland side
I’ve only been to Disney World so I’ve never been on this ride, but I really hope to be able to ride it some day! This POV was fantastic!
YOO ZONE. zone from sonic instagram and twitter???
It is my favorite ride in Disneyland. When you get the chance, you have to ride each side once as the tracks are different from each other, so it is a slightly different experience.
@@gechotaris AYO YES IT’S ME! I just saw this response 😭
@@volcanicrose7158 I’ll be sure to keep that in mind then! Thank you!
@@z0ne_b0wser yoo! i didnt know zøne was a theme park enthusiast!
Abominable in the vein of ice on the climb up is a new feature. I also like the sound at the beginning. It gives a feel like he is chasing you through adjacent caves.
Miss how cold it gets and it's even better riding it at night time, miss hearing the yetti always gives me the chills 🙉
Y’know, I didn’t like this ride one bit.
I was jostled around and bumped around on the ride. Not to mention I was in the front seat, so the yeti jumpscare was twice as scary!
Bro, my brother wants on that, and we were scared 😨😱😱
Thank you for the POV. I have never ridden the Matterhorn but it doesn't look as scary as I thought it would be.
this ride has to be the most brutal ride!! it’s so bumpy, rode it yesterday and my body still achessss
I'm sorry for your loss 😂
I went on the fantasy land side
Be there March 1st after so many decades of being away. Haven’t been to Disneyland since1999.
Lots of things have changed! I’m going in November hope you have a good trip
You will be absolutely blown away, so many new lands for you
@@adamnash1770 only one new land. Galaxy's Edge
@@patrickb.5820 and marvel land, and Pixar pier
@@adamnash1770 and that's California Adventure, not Disneyland.
I like the Tomorrow Land side because of the sudden drop under the bridge at 6:15.
This ride was SO much fun!!!! Really simple for kids
I remember how chill i was when i was about to ride this with my sister. I was really happy the first time.
Then i choked and lost my voice when i saw that Yeti 😂
My neck was in pain after i got off 💀
Matterhorn Was My 1st Rollercoaster Ride When I Was In Elementary School 🎢😊
Thinking back, this was my first as well. Happened like in early summer of 1974, so I was 6 years old. Family moving from San Diego to Baker Oregon. Disneyland was a major stop along the way, and the Matterhorn was the last ride we all went on. Loved roller coasters ever since, and I can still remember on the remainder of the trip, every time we went down a steep hill, I would say, "That was like the Matterhorn!"
Sadly, my coaster credits are very few, and that includes 2 kiddie coasters. In fact, I can even recite them all in order...
Matterhorn: Disneyland
Elevated Kiddie Coaster: Portland, Oregon, most likely Multnomah County Fair or Rose Festival
Ground Level Kiddie Coaster: Davis Shows Carnival: Baker, Oregon
Space Mountain: Disneyland
Thunder Mountain: Disneyland
Ice Mountain (very early short version): Enchanted Forest, Salem Oregon
Shock Wave: Six Flags Over Texas
Judge Roy Scream: Six Flags Over Texas
Silver Bullet: Frontier City, Oklahoma City
Orange Blossom Special: Frontier City
Pretty sad numbers there after 53 1/2 trips around the Sun. At least it looks like I can redeem a previously lost opportunity and still get the Corkscrew under my belt. I never rode it my last time at Knott's Berry Farm back in 1980 (rode the Log Ride about 20 times though). Recently learned that it has been rehomed at what I can consider my new home park, though I have never been there yet: Silverwood. Perhaps 2022 or 2023.
That first Matterhorn tunnel was so dark and scary, so DAH-ARK and scaaaaaryyyyy.
I love this ride!! It’s my favorite one from the park, it’s a blast lil bumpy, dark and loud and still so much fun!! I’m going again in 2 weeks and I’m so excited!!
How was it
Time stamp for dollys dip?
This ride broke all my bones in my body
I remember BEGGING to go on this when my dad finally said yes by the end of the ride his back was KILLING him but I loved it-
i just went saturday and sunday, and im going in september. this is an awesome and amazing ride
Question I’m going today never been on it is there drops when your in the dark can’t tell in the video
@@Bella.Ofelia not really, i cant really remember,. but there isnt really drops you cant see
@@jacoblmao great even worse I hate drops
this ride messed me up when i was a kid
Tomorrowland side is my personal favorite. As a huge fan of large drops, I’ll be exceedingly disappointed if I don’t get the Tomorrowland side whenever I ride again
I’m going to Disneyland in 7 days this shows me all the fun stuff I have been to DisneyWorld 2 times but never Disneyland
Finally I’m going back after COVID after an entire year of not going on august 4th
Yay it’s back! I can’t wait to go ride on it for the first time! Last time I went was a long time ago and I wasn’t tall enough! Now I am.
Hi I'm from 2022
I was on this ride two days ago, still at Disney for 2 more days btw
I can go just not going to chance it I'd rather stay healthy and watch a video but still love to go
WELCOME TO THE HIMALAYAS!!!!!!
sorry i had to
thank you for the great ride Matterhorn Bobsleds (Both Sides)
What part of the ride is the Dolly's dip?
I could be wrong, but I believe its on the Tomorrowland (Left) track, at 5:47.
i rode this a couple weeks ago and it’s so jerky. and i always close my eyes at seeing the yeti. it’s very nerve-racking!!! that’s for sure.
Damn, 4 hours ago?! Nice!! I’m going with my family on the 14th and I am so excited
i hope you have fun!
@@ooblecklover thanks! I leave in the morning, it’s gonna be great 😩🤚
@@AutiSims hell yeah it is! have an amazing day :D
Could anybody tell me which ride I'm thinking of? because I could have sworn there was a part on this ride where the track goes up and ends, and you fall backward before continuing, but I didn't see here in the video
The yeti scared me so much when I was a little kid 😂 I love the yeti stomping up the stairs next to you 5:10
The Tomorrowland side is much faster.
Just watching this makes my hips hurt. Can’t wait to do this again this summer! 🤣
Really brings back memories
*legit 6 year old balling her eyes out because she didn’t want to go on it*
I have never been on this ride or been to Disneyland but it looks really cool.
The Fantasyland side is a much more pleasant experience Tomorrowland side Is significantly more harsh and droppy Tomorrowland side you need a chiropractor after riding
Amazing slides of Matterhorn Bobsled Roller Coaster 🎢 Videos.
The ride definitely feels much faster in person
Again! Your video’s show more of Rides in Line and out. So much better to see what we’re riding to.
Alternate title: “I rode Matterhorn Bobsleds so you don’t have to!” 😂
I just got off the left side with a headache
Excellent! Great camera man too!
That looks brutal
Rough ride?
The Tomorrowland side is rougher than the Fantasyland side
Honestly it's not as rough as many people are claiming it to be lol. The bobsled cars as of today may have some responsibility for that, but it's really about bracing yourself (like you're holding on as if this is a thrilling adventure).
If you tend to just sit back and relax on Mattehorn, it will mess with you. Hold on to either bars on the sides or in front, plant your feet strongly, and don't relax into the seat when the ride gets going. My mom who is 70 years old still rides this without a problem.
It's been at least 1️⃣ year since you got the footage from this attraction that has Harold the Yeti as an Audio-Animatronic figure who scares the **** out children who board it with their families.
Best Matterhorn Bobsled ride video I’ve seen! Great you did both sides! I never got to go on the Tomorrow Land side, it looks so fun!! Thanks again for making and sharing these, means a lot to those of us who can’t go 💕
cool ride.
My mom likes this ride!
My recommendation for anyone going on this ride, especially if you're tall: take your phone out of your pocket before boarding. The seats are low and your legs kinda scrunch up. I'm 6'4" and made the mistake of not taking my iphone max out of my pocket first and thought it was going to snap in half from the stress my leg was putting on it going down some of these drops and turns lol. Once you're sat down you can't really take it out of your pocket unless you stand up again.
I love that ride, I went on it today
In fact I’m still in cali
Going in September! I’m overwhelmed with excitement to be back in the happiest place on earth!
I’m jealous here in 🇬🇧 enjoy it mate!!
@@deega4764 hopefully one day all this craziness in the world clears up and you can come visit yourself! 🙏🙏
I hate rollercoasters and don't remember want to ride them but this seems cool
When I go I hope it’s as amazing as the POV is
When I go it would be two days by now
@@Thin_man164 How as Disneyland?
@@LMGVids it was great
I miss that place
Try buying a chimichanga at eidelweiss snacks, then put it in your backpack that you bring with you, get in line for the Matterhorn, unwrap a little bit of the top, put it back in you backpack get on the ride, and as your going up the lifthill, take a bite of it as you see Harold, what a sneaky and fun expierence
The Matterhorn has sound affects to it so it made me feel like we were on a actual mountain and when I went on the ride I wanted to go again
Probably the least comfortable ride I've ever been on
I honestly did not realize there are two sides to the ride 😂😂😂
The scariest part of the ride at 7:07
I miss tomorrow land side making my back have more scoliosis pain
i’m going in December!!!
What’s the big difference between the two sides???
One is the left and the other is the right
I remember the last time I rode there that I almost touched the yeti during a quick swerve. I was about to deck an animatronic.
If you think this ride is fun you should see real bobsledding
You have insanely good settings
Auf Wiedersehen!
おもしろそうですね
My chiropractor was upset when i cancelled her & told her i have a new chiropractor Dr. Matterhorn : )
It never stops amazing me how good Matterhorn is. Like the first steel coaster should be some little kiddie coaster or a mine train or a small iron thrill ride.
Instead you get big, duel track, crazy block system with a huge capacity, themed an absolute treat with a decent ride time, that is surprisingly smooth and absolutely a joy to ride.
Matterhorn has no business being as good as it is.
Not the fastest coaster by any means but yes the themeing is unmatched and the entire ride you really feel like you are sledding down the mountain away from the yeti. Plus we have the better space mountain. More reason disneyland is superior to world lol
Thats why it's my favorite Disney ride
Thank goodness the mountain didn’t fall down 😅
@@TargetSniper365 i think disney worlds space mountain feels more out of control because of all the sudden drops and the 1 person per row seating that are missing from the disneyland version
@@maliknelson5998 that’s because space mountain is a mattahorn clone but space themed. World doesn’t have the mattahorn. And world space mountain is just old and clunky and very rough. Land space mountain is exceptionally smooth and the side by side seating is much more modern
Going for the first time ever in October!
I’m curious…. How rough would you say this ride is compared to say… thunder mountain or some universal rides like the Mummy? I’d expect some jerkiness for its age, but assume it’s somewhat smooth being a steel track
I believe it does jerk you around a bit but that’s the fun of it because you don’t know what’s around the next corner!
This isn't a rough ride in the way that it'll jack hammer your teeth off, but it's janky in a very enjoyable way. I found it to be a lot of fun when I held onto the bars in front of me. Another thing, the fantasyland side doesn't have a single drop
If you have any joint problems at all, even really mild ones, skip this ride. I can handle Thunder Mountain and the Mummy because the ride vehicles are fairly forgiving but the ride vehicle on Matterhorn does nothing to help how jerky it is. I go on it and by the time I get off I can hardly walk because my back is out of whack and it feels like both my hips have been dislocated because there's no cushion and nowhere in the seat to slide to eat up some of the force from the turns and nothing to hold you firmly in place so you slam into the hard sides of the toboggin with all the force of each turn. I love this ride but I can't do it anymore ever since they changed the cars.
This ride is literally the first of its kind so it was built before standards were set in place for building roller coaster rides. The track itself is smooth, but the layout is fairly rough. Hard to compare it to Thunder Mountain and the Mummy, but if i had to I‘d say The Mummy in California’s hard break section, where the bugs come out of the wall, is basically how the entire ride feels like at the Matterhorn
Banking is a little rough. You will get thrown around a bit but it’s really fun
Still pretty much the same except for the different languages. I miss Disneyland
nice
Never again this ride was so scary I went on it since I thought it was gonna be fun I almost passed out on this 😅
Me too
I visited last week and only rode the Matterhorn at night. For some reason they were only running the Fantasyland side? I really wanted to get on the Tomorrowland side for the first time in a year and a half but still had a lot of fun nonetheless.
I love this ride, but good god the seats are shit
Shrieker tremors graboid ass blaster Graboid Big
I love this ride but I like the left side better the side that is closer to tomorrow lan
The original Disney coaster…
I prefer the old howl from Harold!! This just doesn’t have the same effect. I also miss the crystals. Why not keep the good parts??
Glad I'm not the only one who took note of how not scary the yeti sounds now. He definitely looks better, I'll give them that. But I miss the high pitched roar. It terrified me as a kid back in the 80s. I used to close my eyes whenever I knew we were gonna pass by him. :P the new yeti looks more terrifying, but his roar is way more subdued. I do like the additional little screen at the beginning with the yeti attacking the guests. The set pieces are also a nice addition.
I wonder, though, does the yeti still sound the same as he used to from afar while walking through the park or is it the new roar?
Love this ride!
6:34 OooOo i shouldnt have worn my sweatshirt OoOOo aaa very funny... Had me ngl
Why of all the days I am able to go to Disneyland & this ride will be closed!!!
The bone rattler.
