The problem is, that Raytheon thermal monocular - is pretty much it. As we found out after the video release, that this device was not for a open sales or something into that direction. As it is produced by defence company for specific needs. So if you want this device in your hands to play around, we suggests monitor local NVG/Thermal group plus marketplaces like Amazon/Ebay.
I played around with a cheaper raytheon, they are pretty okay. However I would invest in something more expensive, just do the lack of range you get with the "cheaper" devices
So basically im thinking well have $100 thermal infrared nightvision red dot zoomable scope sights with flashlight and laser in a few years, thats really decent
That's why I was holding out, my buddy had a decent one 3 years ago that he paid around $700 for. I held out 3 years and an equivalent resolution model to his (his is no longer made) is about $800 😢 there are some slightly less resolution ones for around $500. They just haven't come down in price like I hoped.
Unfortunately Its not that easy mate. They are not available that widely in retail, so cant provide direct link. We seen several of them on Ebay. Particularly this one we got from DE ebay. So, you need to have a bit of luck to get one.
Good and thorough field test, well done! I'm orienting for a thermal monocular to use in combination with my wildlife photography hobby. Looking for a device upto €500 isn't easy due to the small differences in screen quality. So far the Hik LE15 became a favorite, now this one (or probably a newer version) comes in sight. Thank you for your video and I'll be looking up your latest video's.
How hard is it to give a model number and or show the exact item being shown in this video

@@rungunpeppers I’d be amazed to find one second hand.
Some time ago these were available on Amazon, but not anymore :/

We would recommend to use amazon and ebay platforms. We were able to find it there.
