Testing some AC Condenser Fans!

- AC condenser fans are some of the most powerful & reliable types of fans out there, so when someone called me asking for a cheap, bare bones but powerful utility fan for their workshop, I immediately recommended this.
These fans came out of National/Panasonic 2 HP AC condensing units. You can usually find these in flea markets, privately owned AC service shops and online, though I myself would rather get one that I can see & test for myself as some online sellers give you fans from smaller HP ACs than advertised. Plus these are high mileage used fans, I'd rather choose one with parts that are still decent.

Look up 1930/1950 ILG exhaust fan, that’s what some of the anti-clockwise spinning AC condenser blades remind me of
I've been a big fan of the ILG "Type Q" blade exhaust fan for years. That might explain why I like these condenser fans so much
I like the testing of these it really interests me and sometimes you can turn them into powerful box fans!
I actually have made a box fan out of one of these, it was so long ago though & I tore it apart for parts 4 years ago

interesting when the camera stays synchronized with the blades
It does that sometimes haha
they have really cool designs!😊
Indeed!
I have a question. Do the speed regulators work on us 120 volt?
I think they do, you’ll probably get much slower speeds though
@@TheFanUniverse ok because I live in the US and everything I have is 120 volts
Great video
the 2 bladed ones look weird
That’s why I love these types of fans. The manufacturers really put tons of time to make the quietest & highest performing fan, especially these days where silence is king in several countries
I have a question for you.
If you had a Daikin FTKQ25UVM4 FLASH Inverter air conditioner that had a dead indoor unit, then are you gonna salvage the outdoor itself, and test the fan?
I’m not familiar with models of air conditioners, but I’m always curious to see how their fans look like, so the answer is yes
@@TheFanUniverse oh.
@@TheFanUniverseI could do the same thing when I find dead Samsung/Panasonic/Daikin/other air conditioner outdoor units.
Really deep blade pitch!
Yup!
Kipas nya kenceng gak yang National/Panasonic, soal nya design baling" nya unik 😮
Dua²nya dari National/Panasonic. Anginnya kenceng semua
I can't tell if the third blade set looks the way it does by design or if it's so old that it's collapsing upon itself and starting to warp 🤔
These blades are far more sturdy than those on regular fans, they won't warp at all unless they're exposed to fire or super high RPMs
@@TheFanUniverse Then I guess it's a design thing
Condenser fans can have funny designs. They try to make them super quiet yet durable
@@katthefanenthusiast5793 LOL I bet that allows people to get creative with how to design the appearance of the blade
Indeed! Modern minisplit condenser fans have had lots of hours in the planning stage to make the most economic, durable & silent fan blades
Bagus om😊, ngomong² coba kapan² beli regulator untuk kipas outdoor nya
Sudah
What model is the 3 bladed outdoor unit?
National
Bang sy pny yg 1/2 pk kok kurang kenceng knp ya dr kpasitornya ato emg bwaan nya

Bang kipas angin kl bunyi bagamana benerin nya
Bunyi nya bagaimana?
