I think the kit was fun. The making of it at least. I don't know if I would want to set there for so long and use a marker to color all the strings. Also I think the spray bottle method worked a lot better. I am surprised how small it was too, the box make it look like it was going to be double the size. Also you are right, they should have told you how to arrange the different size cords and that cutting in to a triangle at the end was neccessary. I think yours trun out great and is very pretty. I think I would give it a 6.5 out of 10 mainly because it seems larger on the box than in real life. You did a great job, I would like to learn macromay sometime. Looks fun. Good thing you did a test piece before dipping it all in water, watching all that work wash away would have been so sad. Great video 👍Thanks for the craft kit Sarah's mom! Also baby Sarah in the picture is so cute 😊 Merry Christmas ❤💚
I've always heard the word "macrame" thrown around since before I could remember but I always thought it was when kids make art with macaroni noodles. 🤷🏻♀️
I think it turned out beautifully. Nothing ever looks like the box in my opinion. You did great Sarah❣ If we don't see you before Christmas, Happy Holidays to you, Craig and of course your spoiled baby Goose ❤🎄
Ohhhh that test piece looked super sad! I am so glad that you didn't dip all that hard work in and lose all the colour. It did look really lovely at the end ☺☺
I hope this is useful. Basically because the markers are water based you could empty the marker ink into a bowl and add water to make your own dye then dip? Maybe just my thoughts
That is kind of neat and took me back. I first started macrame when I was like 14 years old. I took to it really well but maybe spending time fishing since I was 5 helped as I had done a lot of knot tying. :) If I tried this I would make sure I had natural fiber rope to work with then would dye it with Tie Dye dyes I use to make shirts. I think that would make a much better result. I also just remembered I made a ton of friendship bracelets with embroidery thread also before picking up the macrame so that probably helped too. - Heidi
I did macrame when in was in elementary school a LONG time ago, hint it was fashionable to wear then. Crayola is well known for photoshopping their covers. Also their kits are not set up for success, have poor supplies and have lousy instructions and notes. This I will say was fun to watch. Thank you for sharing 🌞🌞🌞
This takes me back to 7th grade. Kind of reminded me how much I enjoyed it, though. Maybe I'll take it up again someday. Great video and good review. :)
I'm glad you liked the video. Thank you! :) My childhood consisted of zero macrame projects but I did enjoy making boondoggle keychains & friendship bracelets
Omg I remember the fantastic blossoms! I used to have a box of them. Mine didn't look like bows though... >.> Anyway, I'd like to see that if only for nostalgia sake, but I would prefer to see the bird ^-^.
Kits are overly sealed because people like to rifle through them and take their favored parts out to steal or add to the kits they purchase, same reason blister packs are so hard to get into, theft prevention
Definitely have seen tampered-with toys & other products in stores quite a few times over the years, unfortunately. I wouldn't mark a kit down for being difficult to open, however it is nice to have one be so easy.
I was so tempted to bust out my tie dye haha That may not have been very pigmented on the string though. I like your ink idea or Melissa's marker "watercolor" idea better than what the kit said to do
I get that they were different lengths so that the bottom could be pointy, but they should've put it in the instructions. At least the lengths and the order you were supposed to put them on
what if paint the colors not to close to each other so when you spray, them or slightly dip them they will catch up to the other colors, know what I mean?🤷🏼♂️makes sense in my head LoL
Im literally making a friendship bracelet for my etsy shop while watching this which can be considered a form of macrame If ya wanna check it out its www.etsy.com/shop/TheCraftersCornerArt

Thank you for watching my videos!
I'm in love with the Duck overlord in the background and the little underling at the side
Fun video. The half hitch is tricky because you need to tighten the right chord or it ends up twisting. Maybe that's why it was labelled advanced?
Wow i'm early. Lets use this chance to say that whoever is reading this, you're beautiful and worth it ❤

Haha thank you! 😊
Thanks for trying this one. At least I know now that I wouldn’t have the patience for coloring with the markers. I always enjoy watching
Wouldn't be a classic Socraftastic craft kit without things falling 😂

I wonder if it would flow better if the cord was damp

Thank you for watching!
I think I might have been tempted to use a bottle of ink or fabric paint. The markers looked frustrating.
Same. I wouldve put the marker ink into some water or rubbing alcohol and dip dyed the strings.
I was so tempted to bust out my tie dye haha That may not have been very pigmented on the string though. I like your ink idea or Melissa's marker "watercolor" idea better than what the kit said to do
Turnes of nice but smaller than expected. They iuld have done more rows at the top. Tennis weenie. But nice starter kit.
Goose is bigger! He look so cute and chubby❤️
He's almost 10 months old already 😭💗
I get that they were different lengths so that the bottom could be pointy, but they should've put it in the instructions. At least the lengths and the order you were supposed to put them on
Is it bad I know what macrame is from Barbie Life In the Dream House? Anyway wonderful video
Although it makes sense they want to use their water based markers but I can’t help but think about them rubbing off on the wall
U said u would do create this book
