You hit on what makes this book special to me; allowing me (us) to spend a little more time with these characters. What's more, I've found that reading about them can be a totally different experience--and a compleimentary one---to watching them.

Love the idea of Annie saying how’s fine as being a possible response to cooper asking how’s Annie. It’s so brilliant it feels it has to be it lol. Even if it isn’t that’s def how I’m going to interpret it, absolute genius

Thank you Andrew for yet another wonderful review and terrific analysis. I too read the book and it compliments Season 3 and they mythology of Twin Peaks perfectly. I'm wondering what your take is on what seems like the new timeline, or what is now the "Official version", catching up to Tamara Preston as she concludes her thoughts. It would seem that the timeline in the world we always knew where Laura was murdered is now the "Unofficial Version" Phillip Jeffries said only Gordon Cole would remember. Tammy senses her own memories of events slipping away before boarding her flight home. Really makes you wonder on many levels!
Also, have you made a video on your thoughts on the new Halloween sequel with John Carpenter slated for release next year? Apparently it ignores all of the sequels, including Halloween II - an Idea I'm pretty pumped about. Thanks again!

thing that is confusing is that Laura is missing and not murdered..wtf? don't get it..what is the point of them showing that she was murdered???

I believe mr c was trying to get to Judy to unite her with bob( beezlebub... beezle-bob) Ideally the idea is the experiment is Judy and it came into our physical world in ep1 season 3 in the glass box. It seems maybe the fireman or another spirit in island tower such as we know multiple good spirits were there seemingly trapped, naido, ronnette, fireman, senorita dido, major Briggs head. Perhaps the Judy mentioned in the great northern hotel, smelled a skunk on the other side of the hotel and is here from New York- where the glass box is. Judy may be facilitating everything making sure the pieces are in place for her to be allowed into the physical world via she could own the building and the glass box. The theme was time not dreams. The last line cooper said that Bowie also asked, what year is it. It’s about time travel and possible altering the past creating alternate realities and futures ie. Where Laura Palmer has been missing in an alternate reality thrown into a life that seems like dougies, manufactured to kill cooper, so is Carrie pages life manufactured to kill Laura Palmer. My idea is the residents of the island “prison” interfered planting different pieces in events in time that lead to mr c and bobs demise and ultimately the failure of mr. C to being bob and Judy together to in their marriage of evil bring upon armegeddon of some sort. Or maybe to over throw the rules of the black lodge and our reality allowing their permanence in our world. They seem to need the convenient store to continue living in our world. It seems that by saving Laura’s life did dismay Sarah Palmer as we saw her smashing her photo not long after Laura’s being saved. How we are not sure, we are aware that even if it is an alternate reality coop and Carrie are stuck in, the dossier confirms both worlds exist still. And that Gordon has memory of both as jeffereies suggested he would remember the original timeline where laura died.

The Final Dossier proves that Mark Frost is a far superior storyteller to David Lynch... do the right thing Showtime... give the green light for Season 4... fire Lynch and give Frost 100% control.

Frost certainly seems to have used The Final Dossier as a way to underline the story doesn't he?
