- During a status conference on July 2, a Maricopa County judge granted a motion to continue Lori Vallow's Arizona trial. Despite Vallow not waiving her speedy trial rights, her defense says they need more time to complete review of discovery.
Vallow is accused of murder conspiracy charges in the death of her fourth husband, Charles Vallow, and the attempted murder of her former nephew-in-law, Brandon Boudreaux.

I still don't understand why Melanie (Melaneice) hasn't also been charged with the attempted murder of her ex. She was the ONLY one who knew where he lived, and lo-and-behold, hitman uncle Alex shows up and takes a shot at the ex.
Me either. She should have been charged as well. She was involved with the attempted murder of her ex husband. Why is she still walking free?

I thought I read that she may have been given immunity, which is infuriating! Unbelievable that she still gets to be free after clearly helped plan Brandon’s hit! So glad Alex had terrible aim!

Maybe it's coming. I listened to Nate Eaton interview Lindsey Blake and he asked if there could possible be any further charges with others and she didn't say yes or no but basically couldn't answer. So that's tells me something. I sure agree with you.

The cops went to her house and spoke with her after Alex shot Charles. The police were taken by the pretty, charismatic blonde…. So she got a free pass just for being an attractive blonde. What do you think about that?
It was due to religious stupidity. The area she lived in is full of enablers who claimed her religious beliefs should be respected and that the children are safe. That whole mormon community that drank the kool-aid were spouting that nonsense up until the bodies were found.
She was arrested in the days after not presenting her kids in Hawaii.

A little late for Arizona to get involved in this case. If they had arrested Lori when she killed Charles Tammy and the children would still be alive. They totally dropped the ball
It is not too late. Charles deserves justice. Imagine if Charles were your brother or uncle...wouldn't you want justice for him? She needs to be held accountable.

@ciobalina7445 she has appeals for the other convictions that she can file. She needs to be charged for Charles murder.
If, on the outside chance she would get her conviction in ID overturned, she walks free. This way if she is convicted in AZ, she can walk right into AZ prison. We all know they dropped the ball and the outcome could have been different. BUT, it isn't. She needs to be held accountable for her part in Charles' death as a conspirator.
In their defense, they somehow got Tylee to also claim that he shot him in self-defense. I questioned how she and Alex weren't arrested until I heard that Tylee backed up their story. It's hard to believe that a young girl would lie to defend the man who murdered her father. I wish I could find exactly what she told officers.
I still think that Chad Daybell should also be charged, because he was the mastermind of all the murders. It was his teachings on why so many are dead.
He wasn't the master mind.
IMO she took out husband #4 Joe Ryan and got insurance $$$, she was likely an idea instigator of all the klls… no evidence ever of ANY remorse. She’s psycho.
They were both charged May 2021 with First Degree Murder!
Lori planned out Charles demise all on her own with help from Alex. Chad may have been her reason for killing Charles…. So she could collect the insurance money and run off with her storm boy. Unfortunately, the won’t be able to pin this one on him because it was all Lori.

It must take an enormous amount of emotional energy to show up to these hearings with curled hair, a chipper nonchalant attitude, and having to play up to the cameras. She s probably running out of energy and now backis out whenever she finds out there will be cameras.

All the Kool-Aid blush in the world can't hide the fact that prison is aging her very quickly. It's a very hard life in there. I just retired after teaching in a state prison for 15 years. It has to be one of the saddest places on the planet.
I am so glad that Charles family will get their day in court for what she and Alex did to him .We can’t forget the attack on Melanie’s former husband

No she’s a hypocrite and coward who despite pretending she likes the attention actually doesn’t - it’s a front because she actually doesn’t like to be seen and has always requested that cameras not be present - she didn’t same in Idaho. She doesn’t want to face the scrutiny. Remember she even asked to not be present in her ID trial so she wouldn’t have to see the autopsy photos her her kids and ended up having to Per people who attended said she just slumped down in her chair with her back turned.
It's just a formality now, she is already behind bars for life.
But being tried is important for justice for Charles (& Brandon)

Yes…. Jodi is in a prison about 20 minutes from me. I served Jury Duty in 2013 in Judge Sherry Stephans courtroom (Jodi’s judge). It will be the same courthouse.
Why is the court cameras only filming the back of them and not their faces?! They only show the judge! Hopefully this doesn't happen during her trial!

If this was going to be a DP, does this mean since she hasn't rejected her desire for a speedy trial, and now it's been postponed to 2025, will the DP be off the table again due to her not getting a speedy trial?
