FFXI Ambuscade Volume 1 VD March 2021 (Tonberry) (snipe elementals)

PLD DRG COR COR BRD WHM
COR1: Samurai + Magus. After Bozzetto Rascal (SMN) + Defiler (BLM) dead, change Magus to Chaos.
COR2: Hunter + Tactician
BRD: SV March, Honor March, Madrigal x2, Minuet
WHM: Barwatera or Barblizzara + Barparalyze, Boost-DEX, /rdm recommended for Dispel
Battle start with Bozzeto Rascal (SMN), upon agro will call out Water + Ice Elementals. If elementals not killed in about 30 seconds, they'll depop and Rascal will Astral Flow. Water Elemental calls Leviathan, Ice Elemental calls Shiva. Rascal (SMN) recover about 20-30% HP everytime it use Astral Flow. It'll resummon elementals.
When down to 50% HP, Bozzetto Defiler (BLM), Bozzetto Chaser (THF) x2, Bozzetto Slicer (NIN) will spawn. They can use their SP1.
When Rascal's dead, Bozzetto Monarch (Random between MNK DRK THF or WAR) will spawn. Can use SP1. Lateral Slash give potent defends down. Will make Distortion, summon a shadow/clone to Trick Attack current enmity target, and make Darkness. Need to turn and face the shadow/clone. Can still die even if facing the shadow/clone if defends down not removed.
Kill order: Rascal (SMN), Defiler (BLM), Chaser (THF), Chaser (THF), Slicer (NIN) (WHM Sacrosantity for Mijin Gakure), Monarch.
Plan: Move to SW corner of the map, fight there. This is to prevent the adds linking when they pop. 1 COR store TP to Leaden Salute elementals, they have about 25K HP. After Rascal (SMN) dead, can pull the rest. Tonberries have high MDB, stick to physical WS. Sigh give very high evasion, and they seem to resist Finale, Dispel recommended. This ambuscade need lots of accuracy. Top Enmity owner from Monarch need to turn and face shadow/clone when it spawn. WHM Erase defends down from Lateral Slash.
Reset Tonberry hate after every fight.
Use this strat if party can't seem to kill Rascal without eating multiple Astral Flow. Assuming COR can snipe the elementals.
