I’m planning on doing the invitations for my wedding by myself and I’m wanting to do dark green envelopes with a gold wax seal so I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect gold pen and this was so helpful and informative!! I’ll definitely be watching more of your videos on calligraphy as well!
Really nicely done video. Chill vibes and a great demonstration of the products. I ordered a Pilot and a Marvy, both with 2mm tips. I intend to color-fill the lettering on my home defense handgun. The pistol is solid black, but I just purchased a gold barrel for it, and I wanted to extend that gold out to some of the lettering on the firearm. I'm unsure the exact shade of gold the barrel is, as I've yet to receive it, but I love a good black and gold combination in general. Once everything arrives, I'll see which marker is closer in color, and try my hand at "painting." It seems like people just paint the letters in, nice and full, then wipe off the excess with some alcohol and a cloth, leaving just the filled in lettering. Hopefully it goes that smoothly for me, nothing ever seems to. I'm not your target audience by a long shot, but I thought perhaps you'd get a kick out of some random guy with a gun, finding your arts and crafts video useful. Thanks for sharing.
Those pens were so pretty! And the poppin metallic gel pens are worth checking out! And I really like the candle, it looked so professional! Thanks for the video!
I have an old version of the sakura ones in silver & gold. I cannot remember if I wanted them or if my mom had them and gave them to me (kind of a similar story to my old color-erase pencils that have "ebhardt-faber" on them (pre-faber castell) and my guess is they're from the late 90s. Still work perfectly. If you're worried about washable glass things, I highly suggest a gold oil based sharpie. You bake them for like 10 minutes after writing on glass/ceramic and they're good to go for wear & tear.
Love, Love, LOVED that video! Thank you so much for a super, clear and aethetically-pleasing vid on gold pens. Your voice is so easy to listen to, also!
One of my favorite gold pens has been the prismacolor premier metallic markers - they're as bright a gold as gold leafing. The only downside is after a while they stop running smooth and start to splatter :/ But for that first little bit, so nice!
I’d like a bright shiny gold but I need something that isn’t gonna smear, I need something that I can use to sign glossy posters and my calendars. If you can recommend one. Thank you in Advance
loving seeing all the different gold pens! suprisingly enough, Dollar general has a pen that looks almost identical to the first one you lettered with! I am in love with it. I love the candle Idea also!!
Hey Sarah! This video is right on time. I love gold. I'm excited to try some of these out. I've been so busy lately and catching up on your videos and posts. Thanks for always uploading awesome content!
Hi. Ive been looking for a decent gold pen, unfortunately Amazon UK dont sell the sakura one do. I've had to settle for another chinese brand, SigWong Metalic chrome market pen set (4 nib sizes) the description said the colour is a glossy mirror like finish. Sounds too good but i went ahead and bought it. The one i really wanted was another one called arabic gold. Cant find it anywhere! The photo of the test writing alone looks like 22k gold! Anyways thr reason why i wanted a gold pen was because I've redecorated my livingroom completely. New carlet , wall slats new tv new stands sofas u name it. and as part of one my ornaments is a large Buddha head, in black. Its crown has faded dusted gold colouring which lioks crap so im going to enhance the with this gold marker. I've seen pics of what i want on google. Looks amazing!
I like the uniball signo and the Sakura gelly roll with the sparkle. But funny enough, I ordered some relatively cheap outline markers in gold and the yellow one is so bright! And they are not yellow or brown-greenish like sooo many others.
Hi, We are currently looking for the right pen to use on our handheld fans we have purchased as favours for our guests at our wedding next year, This has been helpful, I would just like to ask what would you recommend for plastic, and that is the material on the outside of the fans.
I'm looking for a metallic pen both GOLD & SILVER with a fine nib about the width of ballpoints. I want to decorate the back of Cabochons and paint black over the metallic design with acrylic paint. Could you please recommend any? I have tried about 5 or 6 but having problems with the gold and silver drying plus they're smudging when I try to paint over them with acrylic paint! I will be so grateful of any advice. Take care and have a great week 👍😷👍🏴
woww love all these adorable gold markers!! I would love to know if you could test out the Uni paint gold marker ! Its actually a paint marker and i had a pretty much good expectation about it but the very 3 rd day i bought it it was kinda watery i dont know why the ink didnt come that good tho :( so i really wanted to see a better review of it!!!! thank you so much!!1
Oh thanks for sharing that! I’ll add it to my list! One thing I’ve found when that happens with paint or chalk markers is that I just have to shake them up more so you might want to try that? I don’t know why it does that!
I love Molotow liquid chrome and I wish they'd make something like it but in a gold color. I know they have a gold pen but I'm not sure it's quite as shiny and metallic as liquid chrome!
I like your gold metallic pens review! You asked for a suggestion for brush pens; here’s mine…Zebra Brush Pen…Mine is a metallic colors set. I’m pretty happy with them. Let us know if you agree. Thanks and Merry Christmas!!!
I don't know if I got a fake one or a bad batch but i bought the Sakura pens, the white was pretty much transparent, the silver stopped working after the first time I used it and the gold lasted a few more uses before the ink stopped coming out. I shaked them and pushed the nib down, but then there's just a pool of ink and don't work afterwards... I'll try the pilot one that you mentioned though, thankyou for helping me out!
Oh wow! Yeah I don’t know about that. I feel like some of them are just a little finicky! I loved the pilot one and I’ve been loving the Marvy Decocolor one!!
Yes, it's 1 mm and I do think it would be good for dark sticky notes. It's pretty opaque on regular paper (even black paper) so it would probably work! It's still my favorite gold gel pen!
So here's my dilemma. I collect bibles and i have too many so i want to give some away. However i want to imprint names of the leather and faux leather covers but it would cost a LOAD of money to ship them off just for that purpose. So i was thinking of just buying some stencils and using a gold pen or paint to stencil the names on the covers. Does anyone think that would be possible and if so what would you recommend? Please keep it simple as i am a man, not artistic, and not very patient. I can't even draw a straight line, I'm a lefty with bad writing.
The one I’d use on a mirror is the Marvy gold chalk marker. I don’t know how well the other ones would wipe off but the chalk marker would last a while and wipe off easily with just water when you’re done with it.
In the description, you'll find my amazon favorites which has a section for gold pens. Karin Markers ships internationally so you could try they're website. I'm not sure if Marvy (decocolor) ships internationally but you could try their website! Those ones are hard to find!
Ooh I haven't tried lettering on balloons! Any of the felt tip or bullet tip ones would work. You also probably want one that dries fast so maybe the sharpie? You'll have to try it and let me know!
When I see sharpie gold, I knew u were going to say it looks like bronze, cuz I also have a bronze one, which is gorgeous in my opinion, but they are really similar... don’t know what was sharpie thinking...
You have to try the Pentel metallic fude brush paint marker, I have the Ginnoho silver and gold. I bet you will appreciate the real brush on a paint marker as I do! $7.00on Jetpens yw ;)
I really felt the pain when that ModPodge ruined that beautiful candle. So frustrating for you - I think I might have cried if it was my project! Well done for making it all good again. Great review!
I felt really bad for you with the candle I can't imagine taking all that time making a beautiful gift for your sister and at the end it went down hill By the way awesome video
As nice as the pen-touches are, they are not designed for mixed media. My nibs dried out super quick and became clogged, plus they leaked everywhere. I'll stick with poscas.
I've had problems with pentel ball point pens' ink flow, they seem to prematurely dry up even thought there is still ink in them. I'm gonna try the uni-ball to see if I have any better luck, but does anybody have any advice with this?
Your videos help ALOT! personally i think you are so underrated you put so much effort into your videos. I love them so thank you.
That is so kind of you! Thank you for being here!
Can you suggest any golf paint which won't fade easily
@@shazmasheikh3043 try an oil based pen
They’re long lasting

The sakura gelly roll gold metallic pen is my favourite 💕
Those pens were so pretty! And the poppin metallic gel pens are worth checking out! And I really like the candle, it looked so professional! Thanks for the video!
Thank you for saying that! My sister loved the candle! And I’ll look up poppin gel pens!

Thank you for catching up with me Ruby! I always appreciate hearing from you!
I love the uniball. The best.
It really is the best!
All the gold markers are adorable..I love your way of reviewing the product! Btw, what's the gold marker used in 7:37 ?
Thanks for posting, i can think of a lot of situations where these will really look good 👍.

Really your writing is too good in comparison of my writing ....keep it up
Can u please do a review of the marvy opaque brush pen?
Thanks for the request! I'll add it to my list. :)

I like the Uni-ball gel pen (around 4:30 mark). Is there a specific name on that one? They seem to offer more than one: Signo, etc. THANKS !!
I love Molotow liquid chrome and I wish they'd make something like it but in a gold color. I know they have a gold pen but I'm not sure it's quite as shiny and metallic as liquid chrome!
That one is amazing!! I also wish they would make a gold one just like it!
Love Parks and Recs as well :)

Woaaaaah so pwetty..love your vidssz❤
That’s beautiful! I will definitely try to do that!🤩👏🏻🤩
Great comparisons!!

Hi! I want to write on resin coasters so what do you think? Which one would be better and also that doesn't mix with the resin when poured over it

Does Sakura write on painted wood
Is the Uniball you demonstrated good for dark sticky notes? It's the 1.0 mm right?
Yes, it's 1 mm and I do think it would be good for dark sticky notes. It's pretty opaque on regular paper (even black paper) so it would probably work! It's still my favorite gold gel pen!
Great video- thanks! I need some help with using a pen for an art project on a frame. 🤩
I'm so glad it could help!
I love the gold with water color over it! What type of paper do you recommend to do this with as a gift?
Good question! For that piece I used canson xl watercolor paper 140 lb. your favorite watercolor paper would work!
Wow so good
Which one should I use for writing on a clear balloon?
Good question! Any of the thicker pens would work. I would use the Marvy Deco Color!
Hello, do you have a link for the Marvy Gold Marker? Thank You
Hunting down the perfect color gold in any medium is an absolute headache, this helps so much, thank you!
Really helpful video...thanks..
Which brand that have waterproof brush pen?
I’m pretty sure all of these metallic brush pens are water proof! 👍
im looking for a a gold pen/marker that can write with full opaque on transparent clear sticker paper. which one do you recommend?
Oh that's a good question! I think you'll have to do some tests! I recommend the Marvy decocolor and the Pilot gold marker to anyone. Both are great!
So here's my dilemma. I collect bibles and i have too many so i want to give some away. However i want to imprint names of the leather and faux leather covers but it would cost a LOAD of money to ship them off just for that purpose. Love Love Gold!!!
I have a quick question, can you blend the DecoColor pen with another DecoColor metallic pen?
Are there felt tip pens that are gold.
Which pen did you put under the watercolor? I kept rewinding but somehow missed it. So beautiful.
It's the marvy deco color gold marker :)
Among these pen which one is good to use on mirror?
The one I’d use on a mirror is the Marvy gold chalk marker. I don’t know how well the other ones would wipe off but the chalk marker would last a while and wipe off easily with just water when you’re done with it.
you gotta try the Zebra metallic brush pen set! so pretty
Ok good to know! They’re on my list!
Hi there! Thanks for the video!! Could you please post links to buy the pens, especially the DecoColor, please? Thanks and greetings from Barcelona!
In the description, you'll find my amazon favorites which has a section for gold pens. Karin Markers ships internationally so you could try they're website. I'm not sure if Marvy (decocolor) ships internationally but you could try their website! Those ones are hard to find!
Love this video x what pen would you recommend for balloons?
Ooh I haven't tried lettering on balloons! Any of the felt tip or bullet tip ones would work. You also probably want one that dries fast so maybe the sharpie? You'll have to try it and let me know!

Where can you get this last one it is a marvy uchida opaque brush pen and I looked online but it is hard to find. Where did you purchase this from ?
It is hard to find online! I got it at hobby lobby! 👍
Are these permanent n cn v use on glass
Is there one that would work best with a ruler for drawing geometric patterns? I:e it won’t smudge when you move the ruler.
Ooh great question! All of these are very liquidy so I think they would all smudge besides maybe the gel pens! 👍
How to seal them
Mam .. what paper have you used?
Most of the pens are good but i felt Pilot stands out. Nice video.
The karin markers are more expensive than kuretake but kuretake is more opaque than karin markers
What are the names of these pens
Where do you get these pens?

In my amazon favorites (linked in my profile) I have a section for gold pens! :)
