First job in Upper GI!!! 🥵🥵🥵. That was my second job, over winter. That specialty really makes doctors! It would be great to hear about your experiences in your first job.
Hopefully going to be a junior doctor next year ☺️ . Please Is there a particular time in the year that doctors come into the foundation year 1 or 2 as I am trying to plan it with my graduation time ?.I am not surprised . I just hope I can get affordable rent 😭
@@stenarumpest2003 thank you very much . But the whole process (registering, licensing, finding a job) thanks a bit of time right ? So graduating in June/July and getting in august is not attainable …. I am guessing
Hello, It depends are you training in the UK or abroad? If abroad, it'll take a while to go through the process I've talked about in the video "how foreign trained doctors can get a job a in the UK". If you're training in the UK, your uni will let you know how to get registered etc to be ready to work in August. There are different bits to it but the uni gives you all the information and you just need to make sure you meet all the deadlines ☺️😊
Interesting! It may seem minimal but from our part of the world that's a fortune! But no matter the pay I think your job is very important especially nowadays during the pandemic. Keep up the great work! Did you attend medical school in the UK as well?
Another medical one I think would be cool...... Comparing and contrasting "match" day in the UK with US. There's a lot about it on #medtwitter right now. So very topical.
Oh wow. After 4-6 years of medical school and all that responsibility. Not even thinking about unpaid overtime. 😔 😔 😔. If you do a series on pay.... It would be great to do a collab and compare and contrast with other nhs workers (PA's who have at least 5/6 years training), nurses etc. Maybe even collab with doctors from other countries. I think that would be SOOOOOOOO interesting
Thank you so much for watching and sharing your thoughts on the pay. Oh yeah! I didn't even comment on unpaid overtime. We were at work until I think 7pm on our first day lol. Oh such a great idea! Watch this space 😁😁
The amount might seem small to you but I'm converting it to naira and mehnnnn that's huge, 😳 Tax has taken a lot of the money A lot of bills to pay in the UK Yes salaries do increase with time and experience, thanks for sharing ♥️ *Irene Manuel fhw*
This is confirmation Junior doctors get paid a reasonable amount, but not enough to garner more interest from younger people who want more financial stability in life. Compared to starters in IT, this is low.
This will be an interesting topic
Thank you 😊😊
This is an eye opener. What a revelation. Thanks Dockey for this video
Plese in the foreign Doctor is paid the same as uk doctor ?
Hello, yes you should be if you are working the same hours and at the same level ☺️
What ever you earn is not enough
Over worked and under paid 💜💜
