Don't manual swap a Scud, the transmission is what makes the Scud stand out and it's still one of the fastest (non racing) single clutch gearboxes out there. btw. I never get why people put aftermarket exhausts/mufflers on the F430, with the valves open it's basically a straight pipe completely by-passing the muffler. Enjoy the car, still own my F430 and the looks + sound never fail to impress!
This is probably the best decision you've made on the challenge, it's definitely a great car but a scud in return is definitely a great choice, and it gives the challenge the chance to live to its potential again on the track so definitely a great decision. Seeing the challenge stradale and the scud side by side would be so cool as well

Yeah the manual would be very fun, but that auto is just perfect
Also you can’t vlog while driving a manual and getting cool sounding downshifts requires an amount of practice James just hasn’t gotten yet. (I’m not there myself, but I know you have to drive a lot of manual cars to get good at it)
I'd much rather have a Scud than a Challenge. Though, as good as it looks, I can't imagine a better looking Scud-spec than what Ed Bolian used to have - the dark grey with red interior and tricolore centre stripe
I think thats the perfect idea, due to the significance of the car to him and the channel but also its probably a car he wouldnt feel guilty not driving at all. However having an actual full on racecar that isnt really street legal on the wall would be really cool too

If anyone is wondering the falls at the end are called bridal veil falls. They had a restaurant at the top and a lift to up to it. They tore it down years ago. But cool place to stop at in utah and see the water fall and stuff

I love the car. I love the idea of it being a blank canvas to do as you want. I think in the long run the gated manual is the way to go. The only thing about the salvage titled Ferrari was s the parts and maintenance costs are still going to be expensive.

Since you started your channel with an Audi tt mk1 i think to honour that you should buy a Tt to have it in your garage specially now that its becoming a future classic! Maybe a 3.2 V6 roadster?
I would personally reccomend getting a Huracan Perf Spyder, watching them drive around they look like such a great car to drive and I have heard lost of positive things about them, keep up the good work!

A lot people on here talking about how they’ve been here since the Camo Gallardo days but some of us have been here since Stradman was struggling to fix his Red Audi TT or for the purchase of his Blue Lotus Elise. Those were the days!

That view is amazing my wife and our kids would love to come to the US. Unfortunately the country is not in good hands at the moment. The dance school my daughter is in was going over for a trip but that was canceled due to who is in office everyone was worried about the kid’s safety. One day we will get there.

The heart of the Scud is the gearbox. To do a manual conversion, just use a regular f430 with scud bumpers 😬
