I went there last summer and this was, by far my favorite part of the ride with its wicked thrills and twists and turns. I got lucky to get a chance to ride it because I met all the factors that allowed me to get that far to getting onto the ride itself: I got there right as it opened, they were not busy, the ride WAS OPEN, and I just happened to one of the lucky few handful of people who got on because I was riding as a "fill rider" or single rider.
First off great video! Personally I am in favor of this coaster changing to a chain lift. It was a nightmare for Dollywood and if they can truly get it up to 75 mph that would be awesome! I’m visiting Dollywood in 2024 and am still very excited. I’m sure whatever RMC does will be awesome! :)
It'll still be able to reach the same top speed, because the chain lift will go all the way to the top of the lift. Right now the launch cuts off early, which is why it loses so much speed before going over the dolly. The chain should go all the way to the top of the hill, so it'll still make it over. It already goes basically lift hill speed at the top of the hill, so I highly doubt it would make much of a difference.
Why not just use a lunch from different company ? That's the choice cedar fair made for Top Thrill Dragster.
The Ibox track is the main problem I’m pretty sure. The train can’t correctly connect with the LSMs correctly because of the IBox design.
Tire launch like The Hulk coulda been good
Maybe they could get a cable lift instead? Don't those have faster speeds then a chain lift?

Then what's the point in riding? Half the point of the ride is the launch
Yeah I feel you there and it's called lightning rod which kind of goes with the theme where it launches you.
