Right on Brian! Man you guys were flying! Bruno must be feeling the pressure with you on him like that. Hahaha! Oh hey, when you don't have a bathroom fan, light a match, let it burn up the stick a bit, blow it out and let it smoke before you drop it in. The flame burns away methane and the smoke replaces the smell with campfire.
Hi Brian, The word epic is not a strong enough word to describe this trip you are on. The scenery is incredible and so is the riding, you are getting much better. I got out today for the first time in six weeks, its been that long since my crash, it felt great. Take care
I have watch all the "Mont Blanc videos" until this one in a raw! What a great channel! I like how little you know/care/mention all the bike or kit stuff and focus so much on the riding experience! Keep on Brian!!!
Hey Brian Ive been following you first on UA-cam and then on Patreon for almost a year now but I can't let this trip go by without a comment.... this is by far the best yet... My wife said the other day "who the hell is this Brian you keep talking about" I said he's a MTB'er I'm following.... well he's more than that, he's the guy who made me get off the fence and finally buy a full suspension bike ,he's the guy who get's me out riding more, because after watching one of your video's I feel pumped up to ride, he's the guy who I can relate to on the bike.... I entered my first MTB for the first time in 20 years this spring and had a blast.... I feel its at times like this, with all the shit going on around the world that I have to surround myself with good people like you... Keep up the great work with the video's and inspiring people.... By the way I'll be 69 next year
That's absolutely fantastic Andrew! These kinds of comments are my lifeblood, it's always amazing to know my videos are making an impact out there. Keep kickin' ass dude!
Brian, are the guides you ride with always the most talented and/or experienced riders your riding with? Man your riding just keeps getting better. Some challenging stuff out there for sure! The beauty of the scenery is off the charts!!
I quit smoking as a New Year's resolution because I wanted to get back on a MTB (I'm too old to do both.) A number of vids back, maybe Redemption, Brian was getting some down a trail when he yelled out "Smoke 'me if you got 'em!" I'm not sure even Brian knew what he meant-but it worked for me: smoking the trail or the tires or the brakes; A hilarious battle cry, and as someone kicking the habit it was just what I needed to hear. It's been 7 months now and I feel so much better, and being able to smell the trees when I'm out on the trail is truly a blessing. But when you don't realize that person scorching you on the climb is on an e-bike...WTF!!!
Man, I live for this stuff Geoffrey. It really is what this whole thing is all about. Them more comments and emails I get like this the more I know I'm making an impact on the world. I couldn't do that sitting in a cubicle fixing the images on potsandpans.com.
Hey Brian, love what your doing with your channel! I have been watching since your Trance demo ride at Skyline Park, it was cool to see my local track in a video. Just wanted to say thanks for taking me along on so may adventures, your videos truly feel inclusive! Always entertaining...
I may not be able to get to Italy or France to experience those amazing trials and scenery, but watching you're videos definitely pushes me to just get out and ride more! Thanks for the motivation Brian!! 🤙
Awesome, Epic, Picturesque, and a little cheek to cheek with the rocks tops it off. LOL! Great job soft landing Brian, would hate to see your vacation end way too early. BTW, every time you say "Bruno", it make me giggle. Remember the Russian bear in a Bugs Bunny Cartoon called Bruno? His claim in the circus act..."Bruno is STAR of show!". Hahaha! Makes me laugh, you are STAR of show. :)
Hey Brian, I know you ask us for feedback occasionally...So when you have such open terrain like the mountains in these videos, it would be nice to get a panoramic view of the topology you're riding. Not to mention the scale of the terrain and trail. A follow drone would be a nice addition. I can't see why the guide wouldn't be using one for his assessment. IMHO.
If this was the olympics, you have 2 gold medals.1-for keeping up with Bruno and Ben,2-for having the most interesting mountain bike channel I have seen.
Another epic ride! That would suck getting sick while on holiday, not to mention the physical/mental game needed for MTBing. Hope you and the crew get well and ride safe.
Sick video Brian! Always love to watch you ride in unreal places! Such an inspiration. Hope one day I will make happen all these dreams of riding in mountain bike wonderlands!
Wow, i finally made it through all your videos Brian. They are awesome. I loved the landscape of your New Zealand trips the most. Maybe because i am from Austria (other side of the alps) and am used to the European landscape. But the most fun to watch was your Redemption 17 tour. I digged that stuff and fell short of sleep for 2 days. Keep up the good work. See you on the trail. ;)
Whoa listen to Ben's bike, it sounds like the angriest bee you'd ever find! This trail looks amazing btw, looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip's rides.
After visiting California, the Bronson was nice, but it didn't feel like MY bike. So I've decided to invest in an Evoc bag to hopefully make trips like this possible with my own bike.
Holy shit! I almost fell of my chair just watching you go down on that skinny single track....really great stuff!!! ....and you're really good on the bike man....
I have been holding off signing up for patreon until the winter but this video feels like you gave me assess for free. Shame about the brakes, but I am sure a good shop could change them out for something more effective. this is the type of ride the word Epic should be reserved for. Take that over the Bronson???? damm that bike must be good.
Yes always go non shared. Was quite hilarious seeing the 2 bikers pass you when you were walking... happened to me as well when i had a rough time, and 2 ladies passed me so easy and even were chatting. You feel quite embarrassed. Your bike has 27.5+ wheels? If so you like them better than 29ers? Have 29 now, but would like to go 27.5plus, just dont know if its worth it
Still it's weird the ibis has deore brakes. I have now a EUR 800 Cube hardtail and my brakes are deore. with XT derailleur. The Cube Trail/Enduro I aim for will have all XT (pricetag under EUR 3000)
this will most likely be my next bike..but then aluminium (hpa)..with my 114kg i dont get advantages with carbon :D www.mtb-news.de/news/2017/07/28/cube-neuheiten-2018/#Cube_Stereo_140_HPC_TM_275_Neuentwicklung_in_Carbon
Wow, so you'd actually take the Mojo hd over your Bronson.. I'm hoping to get the mojo 3 next season but not sure I can afford it yet.. I remember you testing one, then I demoed it for myself and loved it. Anyway, great vid..fantastic scenery.
Alpine riding looks epic, definitely on the bucket list. Thank you for another awesome ride. Ugh the shits would be the shits on holiday. Hope you packed wipes. 🤘😉🤘
Could you do a video on recommended preparations for a trip like this? e.g. bike minimum/recommended travel, needed fitness level, required skills... Planning on doing a trip like this next year.
Your occasional analysis of the Ibis Mojo is really interesting. I'm amazed that you like it more than the bronson! I have a yeti sb6 turq and a mechanic at the Fruita OTE claims the Ibis rides like a Cadillac, even over my yeti! Is it the suspension? Obviously not the brakes lol, but I'm super stoke that you're riding one in your videos. So interested in your end of trip review!
Man, I don't remember, but I think I said the name of the hut, which is the name of the pass, which would have the elevation! Haha, everything was in meters, so it wasn't easy to compute for me.
Absolutely incredible! I cringed at the guy lying his bike down on the derailleur side at the 6:10 mark. :-) The footage early on...in the wide open fields with the snow capped and foggy mountains in the distance...UNREAL. The trail that was at the 16:30 or so mark was amazing looking. I have NO IDEA how you ride those trails with all that beauty around you. I wouldn't be able to focus. We'll ride for miles just to get to one open vista like you're riding through the entire ride! Now you're spoiled, so when you come back to the US the trails are going to seem dull. ;-)
Baaahhh. I've seen bigger hills in Florida visiting Miami!!!! Hahahah Damn man! How many hours did it take to reach the summit from start?! That's incredible terrain not seen here in New Jersey!!!
those were E-bikes (1:57) how did you miss that who's editing and Ben is on a drive train (the Pinion) that Doesn't impede the performance of the bikes rear suspension No rear derailleur, cassette plus the bikes weight is in its center, hug gear rang thats why he's fast 7:54 in these conditions and his skills plays in to but the bikes layout is helping a lot, i don't see a rear derailleur on Ben's bike so thats what I'm thinking
Brian..thats some of the most beautiful land ive seen..your capturing it really well on that lil camera..be safe and be RAD!!
Thanks so much man!!!
Right on Brian! Man you guys were flying! Bruno must be feeling the pressure with you on him like that. Hahaha! Oh hey, when you don't have a bathroom fan, light a match, let it burn up the stick a bit, blow it out and let it smoke before you drop it in. Solid tip!! Thanks man
works for flatulence in any situation ;) cars on a highway come to mind
You liked the forest trails with all the switchbacks and it shows on the vids!!!
Hope your tummy is ok ... we need more trails!!
I survived!
Hi Brian, The word epic is not a strong enough word to describe this trip you are on. The scenery is incredible and so is the riding, you are getting much better. I got out today for the first time in six weeks, its been that long since my crash, it felt great. Take care
Thanks so much Scott! Glad to hear you're back out!!
I have watch all the "Mont Blanc videos" until this one in a raw! What a great channel! I like how little you know/care/mention all the bike or kit stuff and focus so much on the riding experience! Keep on Brian!!!
Thanks so much dude!

I'm so used to that guy wearing red it's weird seeing him in blue 😂😂
Philip Ahn lol true hahaha
Hahaha yes!
Bruno = red shorts
Brian, are the guides you ride with always the most talented and/or experienced riders your riding with? Man your riding just keeps getting better. Some challenging stuff out there for sure! The beauty of the scenery is off the charts!!
Thanks dude! The guides are always the Masters of the trails during these trips.
Few of us will be able to do this ride, thanks for sharing your experience so we can enjoy it virtually!
I quit smoking as a New Year's resolution because I wanted to get back on a MTB (I'm too old to do both.) A number of vids back, maybe Redemption, Brian was getting some down a trail when he yelled out "Smoke 'me if you got 'em!" Geoffrey Fowler thank you for your inspiration I'm trying to quit too hope you live in California maybe we will see each other on the trail some day
Karl Fonner I live in Oakland bro.
Man, I live for this stuff Geoffrey. It really is what this whole thing is all about. Them more comments and emails I get like this the more I know I'm making an impact on the world. I couldn't do that sitting in a cubicle fixing the images on potsandpans.com.
That was by far the best run Brian. The mixture of runs were impressive - especially the last stage through the woods.
Awesome dude! Glad you enjoyed it and thought it was better than the last one!
Great series Brian! You are certainly living the dream! Truly inspiring.
Thanks a ton Trevor!
Looking up where you are on google maps... that's AMAZING.. Totally jealous! Keep it up.
All the layovers with the titles and day numbers are really sweet!! A nice and subtle upgrade!
Thanks man! I wanted to make sure people could recognize that it was all this trip and not get confused because they all kinda look alike.
Got to say loving the series and the commentary, to funny and keep up the good work ..!!
Thanks so much Dean!
I hope you are better, Brian. Awesome ride, this one in spite of that spill. Thanks for taking us. Take care, buddy.
Thanks ROy!
Pretty cool to see the old trails that have grown over because they're no longer used.
Hey Brian, love what your doing with your channel! I have been watching since your Trance demo ride at Skyline Park, it was cool to see my local track in a video. Just wanted to say thanks for taking me along on so may adventures, your videos truly feel inclusive! Always entertaining...
That's awesome Dan! Glad to hear you've been here from the START and that you're still digging what I'm doing.
Wow! You can see the trail in front of you for miles across the mountain valley. That should be a BKXC poster. Beautiful country.
Yeah, it was unreal!
What an epic trip! Loved everything about this ride.
Thanks Coach, it was such a damn fun week
I may not be able to get to Italy or France to experience those amazing trials and scenery, but watching you're videos definitely pushes me to just get out and ride more! Thanks for the motivation Brian!! 🤙
Thanks Joe, that's what it's all about!!
ABSOLUTELY!!

Haha getting cheeky with BRUNO!
IMHO.
This is just awesome! You have motivated me to ride trails all over the world. I will make it happen some way! Thanks
Awesome man, that's what this is all about!
If this was the olympics, you have 2 gold medals.1-for keeping up with Bruno and Ben,2-for having the most interesting mountain bike channel I have seen.
Hahaha I'll take it Karl!!
*Loved those trails, felt like i am riding on them*
😁👍
It is so cool to watch this series omg ! keep the great work :D

Nice! Love to hear it dude
Brian, you are doing it right, my friend !! I love your adventures and amazing places you are visiting. Keep up the awesome videos, I'll be watching !
Thanks so much, glad you're still along for the ride!
I love how Bruno is your front liner haha... Its easy to get lost with that scenery. Good job Brian waiting for the next one.
Haha yep, he's always there to lead me out!
I have to agree, out of every place you have been to this is first on my list!!
Me too, dude!
Haha...I thought you were gonna eat it at 8:48. Always good to have a guy that knows the trail, taking the lead. Nice ride!!

Welcome aboard dude!
OMG what a ride and scenic setting. green rain thunder nature. Nothing comes close to that.
Pretty amazing stuff!
BKXC yea dude its a life far beyond the concrete jungle. To travel the world and see that and ride it. Man it insanely awesome.
All Man what an adventure! The views alone are worth tuning in to see the action.Safe travels.
Thanks again!
Another epic ride! That would suck getting sick while on holiday, not to mention the physical/mental game needed for MTBing. Hope you and the crew get well and ride safe.
Yeah, so glad I didn't succumb!
That's one fantastic ride, the scenery is awesome. Keep riding Brian, your videos are some of the best on here man.
Thing Gimbal King!
Thanks so much Eddie, I appreciate it !
Sick video Brian! Always love to watch you ride in unreal places! Such an inspiration. Hope one day I will make happen all these dreams of riding in mountain bike wonderlands!
Thanks so much Andy, I hope you do!
You're one hell of a man Brian. keep doing what you're doing and ride. love you man
Thanks Kyle!
La Plagne - Right next door to Les Arcs! Well done Sir! I've run a half marathon up there to Roche Mio, stunning.
Oh wow, very cool!
Today trails are looking so smooth. Pure joy.
Pretty great stuff!
See you on the trail. ;)
Awesome, love hearing that!!!
It's ok to bottom out your fork once or twice a run, just means you're using all your travel. If you bottom out regularly, then add some pressure.
Yeah, good call, it was a little too easy to bottom out on those hits!
Whoa listen to Ben's bike, it sounds like the angriest bee you'd ever find! This trail looks amazing btw, looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip's rides.
Hahah angry bee indeed!! Thanks bud!
Amazing backdrop!! I don't know how you didn't crash with that scenery
Haha man, lucky I can watch it back later!
Fantastico Brian! 🤘🏽🤘🏽🤘🏽 hopefully my shoulder will get 100% so I can ride asap.
Healing vibes!
Looks so badass!!! Have to go one day. Goals
Love hearing that Michael!
After visiting California, the Bronson was nice, but it didn't feel like MY bike. So I've decided to invest in an Evoc bag to hopefully make trips like this possible with my own bike.
Nice man!! Gotta go with what YOU like.
Most BEAUTIFUL views ever seen on one of your vids!!! AWESOME!!! Keep up the great work Brian!!! Coach Mo
Thanks so much Mo!
Holy shit! I almost fell of my chair just watching you go down on that skinny single track....really great stuff!!!
....and you're really good on the bike man....
Hahaa nice!
Brain, love that quote about the french about eating jelly and a croissant and then smoking in cigarette. It's just a perfect example of the French.
Hahahaha thanks
Thanks for the awesome videos Ben
Thanks so much!
minute 14:20 thunderstorms and you guys are out there... u guys are nuts !!! love the bravery though
Gotta get that ride in!
I have been holding off signing up for patreon until the winter but this video feels like you gave me assess for free. Shame about the brakes, but I am sure a good shop could change them out for something more effective.
this is the type of ride the word Epic should be reserved for.

thought Brian said 29er but still would like to know what size, since keeps saying "fat tires"... 2.4, 3.0 (don't look it) 2.5???
He's riding a Ibis Mojo HD4 - 27.5. Minion DHF 2.6" Front, 2.5" Rear
HD4 has 2.6" tires on 27.5 wheels. I really enjoyed it.
Still it's weird the ibis has deore brakes. I have now a EUR 800 Cube hardtail and my brakes are deore. with XT derailleur. The Cube Trail/Enduro I aim for will have all XT (pricetag under EUR 3000)

Oh yes another great video brain so badly want to do one of these trips.....thanks for sharing
That was great Brian awesome footage!
Thanks Dan!
I really like the sound of the brakes when they sing 😆
and jesus christ dude that was so close to a face plant on the rocks
that roll up to the valley at 3:00...Great job all around brother🤘
Pretty amazing
I'm loving the videos from this trip Brian!
Thanks Morgan, glad to hear it!
That view at 3:01 is worth a million bucks Brian! Epic as always!
It really was!
Absolutely epic!
I like my Deore brakes. Of course i'm not riding anything like you are.
Thanks Charles!!
Awesome vids. I feel like you might be fallowing a bit to close though, could result in a bad pile up.
It will some day!
Well I am sure the guy in front of you will enjoy that lol.
Holy single track Batman! Ive snowboarded in La Plagne but never knew there single track gold hidden beneath the white stuff!
Yes! Always some magic hidden in the Alps
Wow this is a single trail paradise right there!!
It really is!
Kermit the frog...... that was hilarious! Love the videos. Definitely adding this to my bucket list.
Hahaha. I hope you make it here!
Awesome footage, looks killer. Great riding BK!
Thanks Gareth!

A fine holiday to you brian!
Warp speed!! thanks Thorben
wow awesome ride thanks for the video.I like this one the best of your trip. keep it up brian
Thanks dude, glad to hear it!
With that HD4, you can create your own lines and just go right through it. You don't need an endo turn.
Hahah yes! BLAST IT
Brian, amazing ride. You should look into doing one of these in New Zealand.
Thanks man! Not sure if you're joking, I DID one of these in New Zealand.
Hahaha My bad I haven't seen that one. I will have to go find it. Thanks again
Hahaaa, another word of wisdom from Brian, "take a dump in peace" don't underestimate that people!
Hahahaha, exactly!
Wow, so you'd actually take the Mojo hd over your Bronson.. I'm hoping to get the mojo 3 next season but not sure I can afford it yet.. I remember you testing one, then I demoed it for myself and loved it. Anyway, great vid..fantastic scenery.
Nice man, run what you love! Thanks Manny
Alpine riding looks epic, definitely on the bucket list. Thank you for another awesome ride. Ugh the shits would be the shits on holiday. Hope you packed wipes. 🤘😉🤘
Haha yeah getting sick woulda been pretty bad, so glad I avoided it!
Guess what guys!!! Another awesome video from Brian!!!
😁👍
Could you do a video on recommended preparations for a trip like this? e.g. bike minimum/recommended travel, needed fitness level, required skills... Planning on doing a trip like this next year.
They're all very different, if you contact Ben or check out his website he does a pretty good job!
You're paying for the full travel of the bike. it's a-ok to bottom out once or twice a run
HAha yes! USE IT OR LOSE IT!
Such a great looking trip, how many sets of brake pads did you get through? Ha
One set!! It went quick
The couple who went past you had E-bikes dude! I guess that makes fitter eh!?
Hahaha, yeah they were blasting!
Some pretty intense spots riding! Way cool!
Intense and a half!!
Who knows, but I think the Cadillac comparison is spot on!
Reminds me of Monarch Crest trail along the Continental Divide in Colorado.
Definitely!! I have been up there but haven't done the "Full" ride yet!
So Rad!!! Like always say, keep killing it Bro!!! Ohh out to SoCal right now!!! Later Dude!!! Live-Life-Loud!!!
Hahaha nice!
That looks awesome, great video again!
Thanks Steve!
How do you ever go back to your home trails? Amazing stuff.
Hahaha, it's not easy!
Can I ask what elevation most of this video was recorded at? I mean, were those 5000' mountains or 10,000' mountains in the background? Thanks.
Man, I don't remember, but I think I said the name of the hut, which is the name of the pass, which would have the elevation! Haha, everything was in meters, so it wasn't easy to compute for me.
Jeez, that sketchy trail on the forest edge, it's like sketchys violent brother had just dropped in there after a spell in prison... Great riding.
Hahah yep
Thanks for the vids mate - looks epic
My pleasure Matt!
Great views your missing while having to concentrate! Great videos buddy
Haha yep! Thanks
Wow! Absolutely spectacular.
😁👍
Absolutely incredible! I cringed at the guy lying his bike down on the derailleur side at the 6:10 mark. :-) The footage early on...in the wide open fields with the snow capped and foggy mountains in the distance...UNREAL. We'll ride for miles just to get to one open vista like you're riding through the entire ride! Now you're spoiled, so when you come back to the US the trails are going to seem dull. ;-)
That's a Pinion gearbox bike... What derailleur???? ;)
Haha....well, then that explains that!! Nice....
Haha Tamas nailed it! Yes, the beauty was seriously unreal, but the riding was even better!
Excelente video amigo te felicito el ciclismo en mi opinión es el deporte perfecto me encanta ver que tanta gente al igual que yo lo disfruta tanto.
Gracias amigo!
Honeslty I hope you get a lot more views and things like that just for your benefit and so that you can keep making these awsome videos
Thanks bud, glad you're rooting for me!
Baaahhh. I've seen bigger hills in Florida visiting Miami!!!! Hahahah
Damn man! How many hours did it take to reach the summit from start?! That's incredible terrain not seen here in New Jersey!!!
Hahahaha. Maybe 2 hours of uphill?
Amazing trails my friend enjoy every minute. What are you top five bikes?
Thanks dude!
Yeti SB6, HD4, Bronson, everything else kinda ties
those were E-bikes (1:57) how did you miss that who's editing and Ben is on a drive train (the Pinion) that Doesn't impede the performance of the bikes rear suspension No rear derailleur, cassette plus the bikes weight is in its center, hug gear rang thats why he's fast 7:54 in these conditions and his skills plays in to but the bikes layout is helping a lot, i don't see a rear derailleur on Ben's bike so thats what I'm thinking
BTW thumps up on NOT editing out your spills and wipe outs Like some People do (Alex)
