Hey another vlog! Love it. Some things I've learned: you can hold both ends of the same skein of yarn for that fuzzy yarn, so it's thicker and you can more easily feel the stitches. For the plushy yarn, I learned that you can make a loop with something like light worsted weight yarn and then make the 6 sc with plushy yarn into that, then you can pull the worsted yarn tight to make a magic ring. It's hard to explain that, but you can find videos on UA-cam.
I know exactly what you mean! I just hate having to combine different types of yarns when I expect the chenille yarn to work well on its own. Thanks for the fuzzy yarn tip too, I didn’t think of that!!
Love the thunderstorm! It was an amazing background! And thanks for the video. I'm always leery of buying yarn in discount stores because I never know what the quality is going to be like. Plus I have not used chenille or fuzzy before so it would be awesome to buy some that is not very expensive so when I totally mess things up it didn't cost me a fortune!
My mother and I both crochet and we both love the dollar tree yarns - I’m obsessed with the ease of their acrylics, she loves their chenilles - and one of the things she’s learned from her time using it is that making the magic ring w/ an acrylic yarn (shes been using white) helps with the fraying problem! The MR isn’t visible at all when she’s done with it, either! I couldn’t get into their chenille, despite my tries, but it does work well when you figure out its quirks ;]
Exactly! I’m only gonna buy more of the brown since I can never find brown chenille yarn in store anywhere else, but any other colors I can usually find easily in better quality yarn. 😊
@@Emmi.Briones I’m totally with you! If I could use that brown with the yarn I usually use I’d do it in a heartbeat :,) it’s just so thin in comparison to Bernat that I can’t use it for anything :(
I think you're over thinking the crocheting of arms into the plushy. All u do is make the arms then crochet the arm opening into the body by like 3 or 4 single crochets each. That sounds confusing but the arms wont flare up when u connect them that way
I think I know what you mean because I thought of something similar to that but only after I had already made the body without the arms crocheted in 🥲 tysm for the tip
I crochet my magic ring tails into the project with round 2!!
The cotton yarn at Dollar Tree are my favorite!!!

Yes!!! Happy you liked the thunderstorm too 🫶
I actually really like the just chenille yarn unfortunately most of the time my dollar tree only has white most of the time
