Never seen anything like this. 86 LCS then WS was incredible, but this team had to claw and scratch their way into contention for months! Then historic bombs? Just unreal. Go back to Lindor in Toronto breaking up NoNo in 9th FTW. It's insane. Lindsanity.
@@pingamalinga Lindsanity.....a catchphrase by Gary Cohen..... just doesn't work for me. It was clear that Gary had chosen that phrase long before the event unfolded .....I prefer to look back on it as simply saying...... LINDOR AT HIS BEST
This run has just been amazing, simply magical. A 45+ year Mets fan and this is probably the most exciting two weeks of Mets baseball I have ever watched. I cannot get over it. Mind is completely BLOWN, from 11 games under to NLCS.
I’m 30 in, I remember the 2000 WS games my parents took me to in Shea. . Every single year in and out, but this year it just feels like an actual movie. It’s our year LGM!
As a senior Met fan, so glad we're not playing till Sunday. My brain needs to process all that has happened, and my heart needs to regain normal rhythm.
"FROM O AND FIVE TO O M G" legendary. I teared up out of happiness rewatching this. Being a lifetime knicks fan I don’t think I’ve EVER been a part of something this magical. Outstanding. I can’t put it in words.
Since i ain't got shit to cheer for now that my A's are gone (we havent really had reason to cheer in 8 years) Im pulling hard for the Mets. I love a good playoff story.
man watching this in december of 2024 looking back on what the mets accomplished. i miss this team and im gonna miss the guys that’s not gonna be on the mets next season. :(
Same bro, I come from one day in the future when Soto just signed, which: fuck yeah, but also damn this was such a magical team, I hope somehow Alonzo stays as well and I hope I get to see another October like this one in my life
38 years of life and this was the most magical season. I was a few months old in 1986, so never got to see them win it all. They came up short, but what a whirlwind
Great win. Great season so far. I don't even know what to say about this team, other than to apologize to them: I gave up on them several times, and they keep chugging along. Regardless of what happens next, I love this team and am proud of this team. Wild ride.
What Lindor has done these two weeks, carrying this team on his hurting back, is the definition of MVP. I get that Ohtani will win the award (he's had a statistical season for the ages) but the V stands for Valuable. I've been a fan for 35 years (unfortunately too young for 86 title) and this has been the most exhilarating of times.
That's how they were in the early 2000s. I'll never forget Shawn Dunston fouling off like 12 pitches and finally getting a single with one out left, then Robin Ventura hits a homer that ended up being a double because the Mets mobbed him at 2nd base. They just never gave up.
This is the team that truly defines the MLB dream. It takes the entire team: to live the dream. The beautiful grace of MLB is defined in the Kings of Queens. Each player has a team "divine chemistry"; and the best of the NYM's has yet to be seen.
Been a fan since 1964---More losing than winning but whenever they do win, always some kind of crazy, huh. Miracle in '69, Ball off the top of the wall in '73. Gets by Buckner in '86. Piazza has a splintered bat thrown at him in '00 and Murph hits homerun after homerun in '15. I don't think any other franchise has quite this history.
Just an unforgettable season, it was the Alonso wild card homer for me that I truly will never forget. I was done, orange towel over my head in defeat thinking the season was over and Alonso finished his met career on a bad note (he dropped a pop up the inning before) But that homer really made me let out some enjoyment and relief. Met moments we’ll all always remember from this season
I think you meant the 1969 miracle Mets. The 1986 Mets were one of the best teams of all time. But if your simply referring to the two Game 6s in the playoffs and world series then I see your point
I swear I never expected this at the beginning of the year. I had lost interest in the season and this team brought me back. Damn but they had some great moments -- such a fun team to watch.
Was at a bar in manhattan for WC game 3. When Alonso hit that ball everyone went ballistic. A grown man cried in my arms yelling “HE DID IT!” Howie nailed the call.
Love this team - they made me feel like a kid watching the 06 team again... I'll always be greatfull for that! Time to make some splashes - Soto, Burnes, Pete (@reduced number), Buehler and get that bullpen right
Please don’t let Alonso go, the owners have had him for years and the Mets organization has given him a very insulting contract thus far. Please bring him back, don’t be cheep now, he’s a Met in his heart. Let him retire in a few years as a franchise player. He deserves it, he’s a class act and fan favorite. Don’t let him go he’s ready to break all kinds of records too ,
No doubt a great run for a team that seemed out of it in late May...and also out of it against the Braves as well as the Brewers. Then completing a series win vs the Phils. And making it 2 games short to the World Series . I will always remember this OMG 2024 team !!!!!!!!!!!
Just watching them play every (game) step of the way, and how they inspire such hope & faith in today's cold world is a beacon of light that shines bright. The eternal fire of faith lives inside each player because they believe in themselves and they don't need any thing else. Simplicity and Efficiency when they endured Adversity is the perfect recipe!
I love a Cinderella story. Even tho I've been a Yankees fan my whole life I'm sincerely hoping this story book run continues for the Mets. If they can tie 3-3 with Dodgers I predict they'll win the WS
This post season run is one for the ages I will be speaking to my kids about this run and they hopefully would believe it’s a joke at one point they were considered the METS LOL 😌
Every time Gary Cohen yells that a player "put the hammer down" after a late inning home run, the opposition came back to either tie or take the lead. Cohen has to stop with that call.
So many people are going to be watching the highlights from this run, probably for the rest of our lives
I’ve watched this reel so many times lol
I'm watching it again and tearing up.
Holy shit this was some kind of special journey.
Just a group of best friends making hit songs and playing baseball. Incredible.
All blessed by a Purple Heavenly Being
@@marcitos_9329❤
the highlight of their season is a purple booger
Couldn’t have said it any better
We've had an entire season's worth of epic moments and wild bullshit in less than two weeks lol
pretty close to an entire franchise history worth of epic moments lol
Never seen anything like this. 86 LCS then WS was incredible, but this team had to claw and scratch their way into contention for months! Then historic bombs? Just unreal. Go back to Lindor in Toronto breaking up NoNo in 9th FTW. It's insane. Lindsanity.

It’s why I love this sport and this team. LGM!!!
And Ohtani will still win MVP unfortunately SMH
"He did it! He did it!" Will go down as a top call of all time in my book.
I’ll never forget that I was in a Burger King drive through when I heard that radio call
“Pete Alonso keeps this fairytale season going with the fairytale swing of his career!” ABSOLUTE CINIMA
This run has just been amazing, simply magical. A 45+ year Mets fan and this is probably the most exciting two weeks of Mets baseball I have ever watched. I cannot get over it. Mind is completely BLOWN, from 11 games under to NLCS.
With a rookie coach. Great story written all over this. The comeback kids Mets gotta take it all the way.
I’m 30 in, I remember the 2000 WS games my parents took me to in Shea. . Every single year in and out, but this year it just feels like an actual movie. It’s our year LGM!
GIL HODGES would be PROUD of these METS 2024
This is the best Mets offense I’ve seen in my 40yrs of being a fan; everyone chips in at the plate
Probably the greatest season i ever seen in my 35 years of being a mets fan
As a senior Met fan, so glad we're not playing till Sunday. My brain needs to process all that has happened, and my heart needs to regain normal rhythm.
😅😅😅😅
Lmaooo
SAY THAT AGAIN!!!
@@Maddog494 Haven't flatlined yet! Woohoo!
I have every single one of these plays burned into my memory, but here I am watching this video on loop
The NL should consider co-MVP's with Lindor and Ohtani like in 1979 when Keith Hernandez & Willie Stargell were co-MVP's They both really deserve it.
They won't they're non-believers
I wouldn’t give it to a designated hitter.
Not,Ohtani didnt make an out.
I could watch this all day... I just might
Pat Murphy..... looking out of the dugout in DISBELIEF.....a memory that sums up this season.
"FROM O AND FIVE TO O M G" legendary.

only Linsanity can compare, but that wasn't in the postseason like this
NY Giants' run in 07 was pretty good, beating the 18-0 Patriots in the Super Bowl
LFGM 💙🧡🗽.... Never been so proud to be a Mets fan..... Let's finished our food
Clutch Mets?!😮
What dimension have I stumbled in to?
That's everyone's reaction
I honestly cannot believe my eyes this past two weeks… I LOVE THIS TEAM 🧡💙 LFGM
It's been a magical ride.
The ride ain't over my guy. LFGM!!
“THEY WERE FAMISHED FOR THE BIG HIT ALL NIGHT, AND FRANCISCO LINDOR JUST PROVIDED A FEAST!”
Who’s cutting onions??
Even if the Mets win the World Series, Nimmo's clapback will still be the best part of 2024
Since i ain't got shit to cheer for now that my A's are gone (we havent really had reason to cheer in 8 years) Im pulling hard for the Mets. I love a good playoff story.

You would have loved the 86 team
Easily the most fun I have ever had watching baseball.
Not having Mark Vientos' game-tying double at the 5:30 is criminal
💯💯💯
I'm going to say these last two weeks have felt like they've been the longest of the year. Absolutely insane that this run is real
Video of the year so far !! - THANK YOU !!

Not today...

This is a season that will be in amazin moments
Los mets me tienen muy contento los veo muy bien saludos desde Chile
Yankees fan i was born till 07 then a rockies fan till this year the Mets have taken my heart
I love that sign at the end. We need more of that!

Let’s keep going! More work to do, but an amazing ride so far!
Lindor has done his job leading them into the NLCS, now its time the rest of the team show up their best. 🤷🏻🔥
It's a roller coaster season, and now let's shoot for the moon.
Know now that I have to be prepared. Heart meds close at hand, along with rosary beads, and Mets hat and Mike Piazza jersey. Miracles abound.

back in high school, we called it 7 minutes in Heaven
We deserve this. So much. God willing.
Why are we posting this now? The season isn't over
Lindor's #12 will be retired by the Mets somewhere in the future.
Thank you Mets
Let's go Mets I can't wait to watch us this year we got alott of talent on this team

I was at the Citi Field watch party when Pete hit the homer against Milwaukee. The energy was just absolutely unexplainable.

This really is starting to look more and more like the 86 post season.
86 game 6th nothing can top that I still get chills
Best booth in baseball hands down
It was the best season of the Mets I have ever seen. I couldn't care less about the loss to the Dodgers; it was amazing.
I love both the Mets and the Dodgers.
