Fatal Vehicle Accident North 83rd Avenue & W Thomas Road

At approximately 8:30 pm on Friday, Phoenix Fire and Police responded to reports of vehicle collisions that occurred at North 83rd Avenue and West Thomas Road in the west valley. When first responders arrived they found two vehicles with extremely heavy damage and at least two people requiring extrication. One person was transported in critical condition to a local trauma center, and one person was pronounced on the scene. It is unclear what led up to this deadly motor vehicle accident. The intersection was shut down for several hours after the incident occurred. Police did mention that speed played a factor in this deadly accident.
