First time watching you. Love your straightforward no nonsense, honest, tell it as it is approach. Plus nice to hear yet another fellow Scot on the wet shave circuit. Looking forward to catching up with you next time. Greetings to you from South Africa.
Been watching your vids from long before you were injured and just wanted to say you seem to be doing better health wise and that’s great to see. Always enjoy your vids as you and 3 or 4 other guys are the only ones I watch regularly and I appreciate the info that you provide, it’s a big help. Great vid today and looking forward to the next one, cheers
Here is how I take apart razors that are hard to get a grip on: while the razor is still together put the handle between your index and middle finger( like you would hold a cigarette or cigar)with the head resting on your thumb and bridging between the idex and middle fingers. Then squeeze it tight enough for you to use your other hand to unscrew the handle. This has helped me alot in not cutting my fingers. If you take the razor apart like this the blade overhang shouldn't be a factor at all. Hope this helps someone out! Steve
Nice shave Cris I personally would not go near that razor but that is just me. I love your brushes man they are top shelf. Kaizen was the first A&E soap I got a few weeks ago and I overloaded the shit out of it lol. Take care.
Chris you’re so right about plastic. Also nothing lathers like Kaizen. And that razor looks really nice. I’m not much of a DE guy anymore, but I may consider getting this one. Nice shave as always bro. Peace
Don't worry about video length mate, especially since you've cut back on uploading at the rate you used to. How you feeling about those Scots eh? Congrats
Most videos are too slow for me, and I watch them on 1.25-1.5x speed...you're the only person that I am tempted to SLOW the playback to catch that quick, lilting brogue! I like it, though- not complaining!
I love my start razor, and was considering the colibri but the blade tabs are putting me off. The karve wideboy top looks good, do you think you would prefer the wideboy top cap? Excellent video and channel 👍🏻
The Homelike START has a large blade gap and I assume a small blade exposure. Really surprised how safe the .90 plate feels. Above the Tie has a lot of blade exposure but a small blade gap. Haven't tried ATT due to cost. Is one design better for a mild but efficient shave? I like efficiency but don't like blade feel.
Great Video Cris 💈🪒👍🏼 How you doin & Family...A&E soaps are great I have Spartacus & Asian Plum it’s awesome 💈👍🏼 As per Razors well this is my opinion in my Den & my View for Best Quality Durability and what’s working on my skin as I have sensitive skin tried so many razor etc you name didn’t work well. 1.Timeless Titanium .68 - Mirror Polished 2. Wolfman it’s a nice Razor but nah not my thing it would sit on shelf without usage to enjoy it... My lathering technique has improved so much watching you! You’re a master latherer!! 💈
Mine too. Really helped me hone in my lathering. I pretty much just copy him. I wouldn’t even say I have my own technique at this point haha.

Amazing video Cris

Plastic washers mainly for vintage razors to reduce tensions, handles cracking... Cheers fm Singapore+
"Do what you love, Love what you do!"👍
I am seriously excited to get my Rhodium brush. Seriously can't wait
Amazing knots mate!
You shaved admirably well with that intense blade gap, Chris

You have to get some Ethos soap in your den Cris , amazing soap 👍👍👍
Ethos? lol im so out of the loop mate hahaha
The makers of that razor must have heard the old British chant: get your tabs out, get your tabs out, get your tabs out for the lads!

I dont like the Karve fat cap as its basically an afterthought, i would much prefer an overhaul and full head that covers the tabs.
nice i have the start razor full kit not bad down the road i am getting the christopher bradley brass de razor which plate do you get with it
I am a daily shaver so i use the A plate mostly but also use the B and C plates and can use them daily too!
Hi Cris, which one is better according to you: homelike Start or Colibrì?
The Homelike START has a large blade gap and I assume a small blade exposure. Really surprised how safe the .90 plate feels. Above the Tie has a lot of blade exposure but a small blade gap. Haven't tried ATT due to cost. Is one design better for a mild but efficient shave? I like efficiency but don't like blade feel.
Efficiency without blade feel would definitely be the Karve and the START razor. Both feel mild but do a great job.
Great soap... The Razor... Mmmh🙄
