My dog Ollie and I are on this journey of helping him feel better when I am not home, so it's been a lot of doing research and implementing. Your video truly helps because you are not a professional trainer and that gives me hope because you understand the struggles and I am just glad to see that there's light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you!
Oh my god the creepy night vision of your girl made me laugh so much. Thanks so much for your channel, I'm a new greyhound dad and struggling with seperation anxiety at the moment :'( I'm going to incorporate ALL of this and see what works.
You are a lovely women and this is a wonderful video. Thank you My little min Pin Elvis is adjusting to CBd to tolerate 4th of July in Hawai’i. ( it’s really bad here) I love the camera idea. He hates to be left alone as well. We are learning
Sooooooo, I am waiting for my Greyhound to be ready for me to bring home. She should be ready within two weeks. The thing I'm most frightful of is if she will have separation anxiety. Although I'm recently retired and will be home 99% of time, I still need to go out for Doctors apointments and grocery shop. Will I be able to leave her alone for awhile in the beginning?
Hi Jenny! I'm going through training now. It's been 3 months. I went from 1 second to as high as 22 minutes. Lately she has been whining more than before. Now I'm back down to 5 minutes. Did you ever experience that? It's like all of my progress has been whiped away 😩.
oh i'm sorry that happened! I think for us, like i said it was 5 steps forward, 2 steps back. The consistency of practice helps but if the whining is crazy then maybe reach out to a pro trainer! all the best
some greyhounds can be - a little rare but our Daphne is a naughty one! I cannot let her off leash. She will come back, but she loves to play chase and will run too far ahead of me (in the instances she has gotten off leash inadvertently!)

This is so helpful! I’m getting a greyhound soon and your videos are a great help! Can your dog be off leash? I’ve heard lots of greyhounds can’t
Depends where you live and if your dog (any breed) has good recall 😊 In Australia my state does not allow greyhounds to be off lead, besides my home

My greyhound never had separation anxiety. He is with me 24/7. If I can take him... I just don't go.
