I have some experience with InDesign.... I thought it was enough to feel confident and process stuff relatively quickly. But as they say - a man learns all his life and still dies stupid ;) The script has a rather narrow scope, but this is absolutely not a flaw! It does what it is supposed to do, it is clear, very practical and effective. Thanks!
The best thing I've done to improve workflow efficiency!!! Saves so much time, thank you!!!!!!! Why they don't have this option to batch export open windows in InDesign, I don't know.
could honestly be the best script I have ever used. Amazing work, William. Thank you so much. PS - I went to donate on PayPal but it looks like the security prompt captcha has a glitch. Will drop you an email.
love the script, thank you so much but is there a way when exporting to chose if the files such as jpg, png, pdf... can be exported as spread or single pages?
Click the checkbox "Spreads". For print PDF, choose a PDF Preset that has output set to spreads. Study the documentation for these and other features: www.marspremedia.com/software/indesign/batch-export#how-to-use
Is there an option to convert all fonts to outlines before export? If not, can this feature be added interested script or is there a separate script that can batch convert the fonts to outlines in multiple ID files.
No this script does not convert text to outlines when exporting PDF. I don't currently have a script that does. But it is totally possible to create a script that does. I will add it to my list of scripts to make. Thank you for the feedback.
is it possible to place 10 id cards in a4 sheet automatically jpg, pdf, indd etc, frame size (ID card) 56mm x 87mm, Page top and bottom margin 10mm left and right margin 4mm Horizontal space between cards 2.15mm vertical space between cards 15 mm
Make a graphic frame the desired size. Position it top left where you want. Step and repeat it (Edit menu) with the desired gutter (gap, space between frames). Then set up Data Merge (Window menu, Utilities) to fill the frames, one page or as many pages as desired. From that you can export PDFs.
@@raviveerasamy3537 Data Merge can place images in image frames. That's part of what it does. If you don't need text, don't have any. Just have image columns in the CSV, and the field names assigned to the image frames in the template doc. Omit all text or other in CSV or the template doc. Study a feature before discounting its usefulness.
Can’t wait to try this, my Indesign files take around 15 min to export and I have a lot of them - this will help me run overnight!
Can't thank you enough for this script! I had to export over 20 files and it was too time consuming having to open each of them and export.

That’s a really time-saver William. Thanks for sharing
you are the GOAT! Very helpful in my production environment.
awesome! I landed on indesign to create a ton of individual PNG files (digital stickers). Is there a way to batch export only the objects themselves?
This script just exports pages.
Very helpful, indeed!

Excelente video, gracias por su aporte.
Is there a way to export the different layers one by one but I need the other layers still turned on for all the export?
