This was a masterful job! Well, well done! I took this on as well last year and took a few weeks to ply apart all I could by ear. In the end it was exhausting of mind and ears, lol! I learned a ton though, about getting those types of sounds and how to utilize what libraries I have at hand to work with. Honestly it really opens your eyes to how the libraries you have can get those types of sounds and instrumentation.

Thank you! Yes, I struggled with that. I blended Spitfire's Symphonic Strings with EW's Hollywood Strings to smooth out the bow changes on repeated notes. Now I think about it, purely using EW's Hollywood strings for some parts could have worked better. Thanks for your insight :)
This is really well done and I'd imagine difficult. The only fault are the libraries, Jurassic Park is a bit of an oddity in how "naked" the sessions were. The recordings had nearly no touch-ups and a lot was represented by just the main mics. The Sony stage having a very distinct dark tone that flatters brass and percussion does makes this quite the tricky mock-up to do. (Even CineStrings doesn't sound like it) However all of that just means this is a lot more impressive than it might seem at first. The hall at AIR Lyndhurst is as different from the Sony stage as you can get. Jurassic Park, like many Williams scores, had alchemy support from synthesizers while the orchestra was recorded. It's an often overlooked aspect of Williams work and it's most apparent with Jurassic Park. Concert performances and otherwise very skillful mock-ups of Jurassic Park don't have quite the sparkle in the flutes nor the heft in the basses.

The hall is another reason that I blend the strings and the brass with EW's Hollywood instruments. For example, the violas of SSO sound quite far away even with the close mics fully on, but blending them with the drier EW's HW Strings makes them sound much more defined. I actually tried to keep the basses balanced in this project, though I usually like them more pronounced. The (high) woodwinds mostly "enhance" the treble most of the time, playing in the background (at least if they are not playing or introducing a theme). Thanks again for the insights!
Thank you! SSO mostly can do the job. I use EW's Hollywood Orchestra to enhance and support specific instruments or passages within the piece, especially when some instruments from SSO sound a bit too distant due to the hall SSO was recorded in, as was mentioned in other comments as well. EW's Hollywood Orchestra is also used to implement many details. For example, I find the pizzicato of SSO too short (the finger is released too quickly from the string), and at 5:22 I use the LT pizzicato patch from EW's HO for the double basses, where the pizzicato is more prolonged. I also use EW to mimic or add realism to divisi writing. For example, if I want to split Horns a2, then I use a solo Horn from SSO and a solo Horn from EW, and play a bit around with the mic settings. The result sounds more realistic compared to doubling in one solo patch. Sometimes, I simply use EW to amplify the sound of certain instrument groups. Except for the woodwinds: SSO's woodwinds are really phenomenal. The main challenge is to blend the libraries, but I think that the drier EW HO blends pretty well with SSO. I have worked with EW libraries since before their Hollywood series, so I like the flexibility to use them for specific occasions where they can truly enhance the sound (at least in my opinion).
