US might have enough tacit approval from the arab nations. Yet conditions might not be fully ready for an out right attk provided all the members of the Axis of Resistance are pounded enough and their networks brocken to an extent that they are no more well armed and coordinated to pose any threat when Iran comes under direct attk by the US and allies. Simultaneously there are other strategic concerns bothering the US so as not to attempt an attk on Iran. Presumably Iran is hoping on such assumptions which might discourage US from considering direct attk.
Iran always operate through their proven model - Backed by Iran + NOT directed by Iran. They have allies, assets and supporters who might trigger unprovoked attacks anywhere in the world randomly and from completely unsuspected quarters whose source, motivation and links are hard to confirm. This applies to both military atks on strategic targets as well as trrst atks on civilians for e.g.: recent near fatal attk on Salman Rushdie in US by a Lebanese boy.
The recent attks on US post and killings of US personnel might be one such case.
