Haha, thanks! Flat brush could deal with smaller areas too if you rotate the brush a bit and try to use the side/edge of the bristle. It takes some time to get use to, but can save me about 1/3 the time for base coating.
For paints, the last coat is usually already dry before applying the next. Ink and wash take more time to dry, but this is actually good for self levelling. Speed up the drying too much could cause undesired results. So I just do something else and wait. If you are using hairdryer, I would recommend to do it with only low heat or no heat, as most pre-assembled miniatures are PVC material, they start to become rubber like and deform (not permanently) at about 70°C。
It depends on how much the paints need to be thinned, is the paint thick or thin, going for basecoat or layering. Got a video explaining how I thinning the paint, please check it out if you are interested: ua-cam.com/video/gWdMjuQlQBw/v-deo.html
@@jessepaintman thanks brother...yes, using the paints you listed and both for layering and basecoats but I will watch you paint thinning video...I appreciate the fast response...keep up the videos they are awesome...
@@Titus_Vespasianus Thanks! If I had to say certain ratio, then it would be about 1 part paint to 1 part thinner for base coat and 1 part paint to 2 part thinner for layering. Also since I am using a wet palette when painting, longer the paint stays on the wet palette, more water it absorbs, thus less thinning needed.
Great video. Love the channel name!
Thank you! Glad you like it
:)
GREAT video series...truly!!!
Glad you enjoy it!
How the F do you even have that much control with a flat brush like that??????
That's insane!!!
Haha, thanks!

Do you usually use hairdryer to dry between layers?
