Lets be real tarkov wouldve died at 1.0 anyway, they're not fixing cheaters, audio, shadows/lighting and loadingtimes until then (heck, they havent been able to update their engine for almost HALF A DECADE), it would still be in a beta level after release and people would've lost interest SO fast when they realize "Thats IT, this is the final product".
They know its a sinking ship and they're tryna squeeze it real fast before its too late.
This will not kill tarkov, however what this does is people will be way more willing to jump ship wherever a competitor shows up, and rightfully so.

Installed SPTarkov Mod last night. Mega fun mod, you can add mods like completely improved AI and remove the damn fog on all maps... like why is this fog even a thing? Game looks so much better without it.
I own EOD and I am pissed as hell. BSG is due for a class action lawsuit and I have formally sent them a written complaint. I will proceed with legal requirements if they do not respond.

I don't know how that will turn out. I've heard people say that BSG can slither out of most lawsuits because the game is in beta. Dunno how it works. But people are saying it.

ya know it's literally them lying to people who supported them from the very beginning. it's genuine one of the worst acts I've seen before from a gaming company. Also I guess we just glaze over the Scav Immunity and acting like a SCAV VEST SIZED POCKETS isn't pay to win. You can literally run 60 round mags, no vest. Or the friend respawns.
One example would be The Punisher Part 4 quest, where you have to kill PMCs on Shoreline while wearing a Scav vest which normally limits your weapon choices(you either chose one spare 1x2 mag and IFAK[slower healing] or 1x1 mags and 1 Salewa[faster healing]). Now with the increased pocket size, you have 4 1x2 slots which is enough for 2 spare mags and 1 Salewa and in a game where as a solo you can run into a 5-man team, having multiple 30-60 round mags and QUICK access to good healing(Salewa) makes a BIG difference.
Yes I remember this quest. I’m on Punished 6 now. I got used to the scav vest that’s how long it took me to complete it. Now they get the same effect with their regular pockets? Lmao. I’m a standard user and seeing my buddies store everything in their gamma makes me cringe. How can they not see how a gamma is pay to win?
BSG will only do as much as the community will except - it will not stop until the enablers do.
@dafoobz Think of it like this: Let's say the maximum amount of slots a PMC can bring to a raid is 40. This is an imaginary number. Let's say the average price per slot for found in raids items is $20k. By getting those additional slots, you will always have a higher profit margin than a regular player without it. Your alternative is to spend rubles while the person with the pockets saves rubles instead.

It’s really disappointing especially for new players like me (this is my 4th wipe) who bought the EOD edition recently.. what makes it even worse that they didn’t even respond seriously nor logically man, not even a tiny respect.

Completely agree. I've had EOD since 2021, and have loved this game since the moment I saw it on UA-cam. I got a PC for this game. I wont stop playing, but I don't know if I'll ever financially support them again. This is one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen from a gaming company, and especially one that I've loved for so long. I hope they can redeem themselves, but they seem to just be doubling down on this terrible decision.
I started at the end of 2017 and put up with BSG until 2021 before quitting the game for real. This is not significantly different from previous behaviour, just more unhinged. They are a terrible company who squandered the success and early efforts of the game. Great mapping team though.
I bought EoD in 2016 this era hurts a lot. I backed them before there was multiplayer, any progression (it functioned exactly as offline raids work), and the only 2 maps were factory and customs. Talk about a slap in the face.

The worse part is like. They could of literally just released Hideout Cat for 10 bucks, tell their community they are struggling, and everyone would of bought the cat. Everyone. They literally had no reason to do this, at all, they already had community loyalty. This was the most nuclear, most awful choice they could of ever done.

BSG doesn't care about it player base, I've been saying so ever since I got banned for breach of Terms of Service years ago (EOD account) and have yet to receive an answer as to what was the reasoning for that. Never have I seen a company so stubborn in being shit at customer service after stealing close to 200$ from it's players.

Do they need more moneys? BSGs financial statements are open for public consultation on UK company profile sites. As of '23 they had 5mi GBP cash, net worth 2.7 GBP. They never did better...
Something else Id like to add is that right b4 they removed EOD, there was a now or never moment, a rush of Standard players upgrading to the "golden crown" with the promise of DLCs and more Arena love. That upgrade alone was 100USD.

I have absolutely loved your videos. I've only been playing Tarkov for a little over a year. I bought the EOD edition, racked up 3000 hrs, and fell in love with the struggle and the never-ending learning cycle. The highs you feel in this game when you take out a whole squad solo, or just SURVIVE a raid, no other game comes close. I love your videos because your passion for this game, for creating a narrative, it all comes through and lets me know there are others out there that just... get it. Last two days have been sad and disappointing. I haven't even wanted to boot up the game. But I'm happy the game introduced me to your channel and content. I look forward to watching the conclusion of the series, and to whatever you do next. Be it tarkov, or whatever, I'm a fan. Sorry for the long post, been getting hit in the feels a lot lately.
I own EOD for years, I bought ALL the extra stash lines. I did both, not to have an advantage but to support the company which makes the game I love and play. If they had just asked "Bro, can you give us like... uhm... 20 € for noting in return?" I would have done so. Until this is solved by them in a honest way with clear communication, I will never ever buy anything from them ever again nor play the game I love :(

It's more than $250, because they don't include taxes in the display price, but you can't see the final price unless you create an account on their site.
So everyone says that it's $250(you did write something about taxes in the first image), when it's actually more like $300-350 after taxes, depending on your region. Same for the upgrade from Edge of Darkness edition, it's not just $100 but more like $125-150.
In Europe it's 250 EURO so yeah I guess your tax is just included here lol. Even with EoD it's still a 50 euro upgrade...

EU players are already levering lawsuits against them. What they did was blatantly illegal in the EU.
The scav vest for pockets is the biggest deal... here's why. I can load 2 x 30 mags in my pockets, not even load in with a rig, and still have 90 rounds. Just playing normally, 2 extra packed magazines are game changing.
What I dont understand is that there were so many choices how to gain money, yet they chose one of the worst possible options

It's the rmt edition! Cheaters buy it, use their loot scan in raids, find high tier loot/bosses then use the new item to call in their buyers to get the loot.

so here's a little fun fact: i live in brazil and i've been into tarkov for some time now. i've never bought the game because it's really expensive in real (which is our currency here).
the unheard edition is $250. in brazil it's R$ 1.279,00 *without* fees. with fees (and depending on your payment option) it's R$1.680,00.
to compare, minimum (monthly) wage here is R$ 1.412,00.

For me it was never the hacking. It was the lack of info the game gave me. I could never be sure if I got killed by someone good or if I just got aimbotted, and so I could never even report anything or even reflect on if I had made a mistake while playing. It was discouraging.

Expanded PMC pockets is absolutely pay-to-win. It allows you to carry four 20-60 round magazines for example during punisher part 4 when you have to wear a scav vest. That is a pretty huge advantage and removes basically the whole thing that makes that quest challenging

I feel you. I started making YT Tarkov content in this last year because i wanted to share my love for a game i held dear to me. i haven't done more than manage my stash in the last day. and i haven't opened my editing software. I don't give up on things easily, so i hope there is a silver lining here. but it's hard to make something for "someone" when they belittle your trust the way they have.
trust me, branch out as soon as possible. similar genre or whatever, don't make the same mistake as me.

The pay to win mechanics are the main problem, now new players with a standard account will be left in the dust!
The main problem is the fact they went back on their promise to deliver content such as the single player tarkov mode to EOD players. And then Nikita calls us parasites after paying his $4.5m a year salary for years.
You made me rediscover EFT with the Zero to Hero Hardcore,did my own version of it and loved it, i feel betrayed by bsg and I won't trust'em anymore
Thank you for a great video, I got EOD back in 2019 and put about 1400 hours into EFT but I got burned out around the time streets update dropped and I quit playing since then. The big reason I stopped playing was the burnout from wipes and it felt like I had to schedule my life around the wipes if I wanted to play this game so I’ve always wanted a single player game mode that I can play at my pace and not have to worry about wipes and loosing all my progress. When the new edition was announced I was excited for the PVE version but I was 50/50 on the $100 cost to upgrade but now that the price has dropped to $50 I feel it was an acceptable amount for upgrading.
As someone from the same city as you and that works a similar job I cant help but imagine how a random Maxi cashier that supported the game from the start with EoD edition feels right now.....yeah not cool BSG 250 euros.

Trauma man. This broke apart a friend's evening gaming group of mine. We used this game for coping with death of family members, illness, and all life stuff to escape from the grind. Now we all are like, we don't like other games, but we don't want to play this anymore. We literally helped each other build gaming pcs to play and now...we don't know. It feels horrible, I hate BSG and I wish now only the worst because this has a real wold impact for streamers and for fans. Heart goes out to you and your content. Many of us feel broken.
Honestly it doesn't have to. You guys should play. But, I don't suggest buying the new edition.
Pay for convenience IS pay to win.
I haven't heard streamers mentioning it, but that's a reminder that BSG's previous game Contract Wars/Hired Ops was also accused of being pay to win, as well as being full of cheaters. Now I'm afraid that EFT ends up the same way...
Started playing in early 2019 on a standard account and quickly picked up EoD because I was enjoying the game so much and saw a lot of potential in what it could become. Fell out of love with playing regularly in around 2022 but still kept it installed for the odd raid or session with the boys around wipe time. My main reason for paying the money for EoD was the included future DLC. I saw myself playing Tarkov long term and wanted that perk knowing how DLC heavy some titles can be. Other than the gear and gamma container, we have not had any real DLC except arena which was stand alone anyway and not what I was into Tarkov for. Very disappointed with the P2W additions after all the talk of no P2W being added.
Looking forward to seeing what you do going forward. Whilst I wasn't playing I would always watch your content as I thought it was the best going for EFT. Taking those skills to another game or style of content will be great. I know it. Big ups Fair.
I really got into the game this wipe and now all my enthusiasm is just 100% dead. I'm basically just gonna maintain an install just so I can play SPT instead, and patiently wait for GZW to release to fill that void.
hey if tarkov isn’t gonna be your thing, i recommend as a buffer stalker anomaly. it’s free and packed full of content you could totally do your story twist to it. Love you bro, been watching you since the start 👍🏽
I wanna say thank you Fairtx and to alot of the Tarkov content creators, you made the game have some whismy and gave it the life it wouldnt of otherwise of had without your hard work and dedication. What ever you choose to do, I wish you well and I know you'll bring your outstanding passion to anything you involve yourself in.
