Love to see how tent comps are able to bypass the need for tacticooler on a team. It's very refreshing to see unique strategies in a usually one-sided game.
Killer Blues mention?!? Seriosuly though, love watching ur gameplay as always. Nice to finally see some VODs from a high level brush player out there! :0]
Seeing 23:40 gave me PTSD as an inkbrush user. One trick I found is that if you squid roll, you have enough time to bring up the menu and super jump with the d pad (you also get to avoid the standing penalty this way), though it takes some practice for sure. However the easy choice in that situation would have been just hugging the wall since you already knew you weren't going to keep the fight up.
really cool to see this! reminds me a lot of new meta, a top level team from endgame S2 that ran tent brush tetra and zap for armor (which was a mandatory special at top level in S2). it was one of the few off-meta teams that had good results against the best NA teams (iirc believe they had some strong games against starburst in either a tourney or scrim)
Yeah my console is slowly dying. might have to send it off to get fixed but i'm kinda just hoping the switch 2 gets released before i have to do anything about it
Great games I loved watching them!!! Something I noticed is that when your using hammer you never jump, sometimes jumping while swinging can stall out fights for longer and even secure you a kill. Try using it against your opponent to mix up your movement!!!
What's the reason you didn't choose Vanila Brush? I feel like having a bomb and a special that, in my opinion, meshes with it pretty well and I would like to understand why that kit was not chosen.🖌
I'm a very aggressive brush player who likes to feed all game. The nouveau kit is a lot better for this since for hammer and mines to be used effectively, it wants to be in your opponent's face. Vanilla kit incentivises a more passive playstyle which just isn't what i'm going for
@onewingedakiraDoes it? I'd argue that the vanilla inkbrush kit has a more aggressive playstyle, with throwing bombs and having killer wail to put pressure on the enemy team
kinda wierd that it starts as a explaination video that goes to a vod video, i was kinda hopping you would break down why exactly it works, specially curious on why Sblast of all weapona. making complete explanation videos would get a lot of views
Hey, I'm the Sblast player :) It's mostly just due to it being my best weapon, and there's probably better options to slot in. But it's probably the most independent blaster, and its range lets me comfortably take potshots at people who are being distracted by the brush and tent, while also having a short range mode that lets me dive in with the team when there's an opening for me
@Lucyfers I can imagine, having an independent weapon that can kill, poke and chip DMG sounds gr8 with tent and brush even if it lacks paint And booyah also sound perfect for a comp with 2 skirmisher for when you are alone and needs a special to help with zone and tower
In theory i think storm would be an amazing special to add but unfortunately, there aren't very many storm weapons that would fit. Could make an argument for custom jet but that's about it
tacticooler is very overrated imo, im not saying it's not good, but people put it in a completely separate tier than all the other weapons when in reality it's comparable
In terms of overall power level, tacticooler is just on a completely different level to every other special in the game. giving 1372 AP (or just over 24 gear sets worth of stats) across your entire team is a level of power other specials cannot match. That doesn't necessarily mean it is a required special like a lot of tier lists seem to suggest. Up until the very top level, a well thought out and executed strategy without cooler will always beat one that forces cooler in
@onewingedakira well, it's stupid to compare a special gear and ability points whereas no other special works in that way - inkzooka gives you 1372 AP less than tacticooler but it doesn't mean it's bad, quite the contrary tacticooler's impact on the game is completely different than other specials and sometimes enabling more risky play with less punishment for dying just isn't as impactful as the usage of other specials moreover besides QR and full special saver tacticooler just doesn't do that much as the other AP it gives are the ones that are very commonly used by players in the gear like i said, im not saying it's not great, it's just not as necessary as the community claims it is, especially taking that the kits that it's present on aren't particularly strong in terms of their main and sub weapon and the only thing that make them stand out is the special - special can't be use for the entire duration of the match whilst the main and sub weapons can and are
@@kupecxa9843ok the point of “the other abilities it gives are already used so it isn’t that useful” is completely wrong since it basically ignores the fact that it gives MAX AMOUNTS of those abilities and still gives you a high amount of the ones that aren’t maxxed out. Sure, some people already run IA, QSJ, Ink res and the speeds, but they don’t usually run maximum amounts of those ever. Even if they run an amount of run speed or swim speed comparable to cooler’s amounts (29 ap for rsu and ssu), they’re still only likely running one of those over the other, and they still get a lot out of having cooler active. Remember, Cooler gives you no jump rng with max IA, a near immediate retreat option with max QSJ, a huge overall mobility buff with the run speed, swim speed and maximum ink res ON TOP OF the now negligible effects of dying with an always active maximum QR and SS. I know you aren’t saying that tacticooler isn’t great, but you still incredibly undersell just how good tacticooler is to have on a team and why it’s taken over comp for over a year.
Well, using the stamp to "stamp" gets you killed more often than not since people can shoot through it, specially at high level, so I'd argue throwing the stamp give you more value. [Using stamp->killing nobody->dying VS throwing stamp->killing nobody->not necessarily dying] Plus, throwing stamp has a hitbox that damages players nearby, so even if it doesn't kill, it can make people retreat Ultra stamp "stamp mode" is just THAT bad

15:13 Crazy kill on the crab here, nice 🗣️
I LOVE seeing more teams doing this well coolerless. It really shows even if cooler is top tier it’s not meant for every comp and players

Bro you don't know how much excited and HAPPY I get when I see out of meta comos
uggghhhhhhh this video had me splatooning all over the screen! :D
i'm really not sure if I should delete this comment or not
That’s actually a very good brush gameplay you stay light on your feet without overdoing it it’s very refreshing to see
I love, love tournament vods. I hope you continue doing these
This is so fun to watch. Gonna have to try inkbrush. Also I've never seen the "console overheating" before 😮

thank you my goat penny splatoon 🙏🙏

There’s no reason decav should do as much damage as it does to a tent shield. Actually ridiculous

I'm wondering if something with Inkstorm would help the Tent+Brush comps
In theory i think storm would be an amazing special to add but unfortunately, there aren't very many storm weapons that would fit. Could make an argument for custom jet but that's about it
@onewingedakira red pencil or Nautilus?
I played with you in open ggs 🔥🔥
henlo

im kind of pissed about how much u throw ur stamp, u pick the mine kit just to throw ur stamp and it kills no one and gets no value
