Be glad when all this rain will quit so I can finish it. It's either raining or too cold to do cement work.

@sonicloud3149 had some flooding this year that has prevented me from getting back there to finish it. Now that's its summer, I'm able to repair my driveway and get back to working on my projects. I'll have new videos soon.

Also wondering, are those cement blocks something special that will withstand heat and cracking?

@sonicloud3149 standard concrete blocks. The fire is on the cement slab. The brick are just a wind block.
But rule of thumb is never build a fire on wet concrete.

Here in Australia no one seems to build fireplaces with cement blocks. Everyone says you can only use solid red kiln fired bricks. I've never really believed the red brick myth.

@sonicloud3149 fireplaces in the old days were made of bricks and or concrete blocks. People put out false information to get you to buy expensive items you don't need.

Is the bottom opening area for storage?

I hope to get back up there soon to finish it. Too much rain this year

This will all look cool when it's done. This is all part of the outdoor kitchen. I'm gonna do it a segments. But I've got some cool stuff coming up.

Been swamped with work. Haven't had time to get back to my cabin. Hope to have it finished in a few weeks
