Coffee and Drones: Soma Lyra-8 and Ornament-8

I drink a delicious Ethiopian Yirgacheffe while the Soma Lyra-8 rips a hole in the space-time continuum.
Lyra-8 is being sequenced by Ornament-8. What a hoot. Soma instruments are some of my absolute favorite devies.
I added a touch of space echo and Valhalla Vintage Verb in post for width.

I have a question. Does anyone know if the interface they now sell that lays over the touch sensors and using alligator clip connections will allow you to trigger or otherwise control each pad with the new sequencer they make will also be compatible with eurorack signals? This would be a game changer for sure!!!

I know it’s a year later but I’m answering for future viewers… Yeah, the magnetic overlay you see on the Lyra-8 here has connections for 8 Alligator clips… one for each oscillator on the Lyra. These accept Gates and will run from Eurorack levels. You can’t send CV to control pitch, the idea is you set the 8 pitches and then triggers them as you please. Just connect the alligator clips to the tip of your Eurorack gate cables and off you go. (You may need to connect 1 earth from one of your Eurorack cables to the GND clip on the overlay to ensure it has a ground).
