The reason why tge main protagonist backstory wasn't shown is that it was made in Finnish style and we finnish people like to keep their private lives in them selves. We tell our private life only the most closest to us. And SISU means to never give up, never be defeated, staying strong.
Dude this movie was badass dude I saw this at my regal theater and they have this thing called mystery movie Monday and that's how I saw this it was so awesome 👌
Some people might've missed this part. He couldn't get his foot on the nail so he impales his previous leg bullet injury on exposed rebar so he doesn't die of asphyxiation.
Agreed on the plane sequence haha I wish he had actually just found a parachute and jumped out the plane and maybe had a rough landing or something, it would have still been bad ass and in line with the character. But the fact that he survived a straight up plane crash at full speed is insane lmao
Plane crashes to swamp so it is "soft" landing. I think that writers were thinking in every scene what would be most badass tough guy way to survive. So being inside crashing plane would go in that category.
The plane crashed into a bog. He swam out of the sunken plane. That's why there was no visible wreckage. No American film reviewer has understood that yet but everyone else got it.
This movie looked ok, I'll stream it when it's cheap. Have you seen Dead Snow 2? That movie was a Shaun of the Dead-esque Nazi zombie movie thats a pretty wild watch.. It's a hidden gem for me, funny review you did here. Peace.
@@creasefold1986 You ain't kidding! F*cking wild and fast paced, best use of Total Eclipse of the Heart in any movie, that ENDING bro! Off the hook is correct.
Hi Mike, really enjoyed your review (I'm too big of a baby to watch the actual film, so this was just right). The underwater-breathing scene sounds like an amped-up version of the one from the first Transporter, when Jason Statham breathes from a dead villain's mouth, but yes, I think the throat-cutting means you'd just drown. I just saw a trailer for another movie that looks to be in the same vein - I think it's called "Blood & Gold." The music is a German-language cover of "Paint it Black" - definitely not the usual stock trailer music!
I was wondering WTH this movie was...I saw it on a poster when I went to see Evil Dead yesterday. Since seeing the title, I've been calling it "Sussudio". Lol
I saw the movie, the last part of it was beyond ridiculous, the hanging was bad , but the captain America shielding that caliber of machine gun from a tank with a hub cap and then using a human body to shield himself from it (armour piercing rounds?) no way. It was a fun movie regardless
Man, really looking forward to seeing this film! Never heard of it but love the fact that it’s from the producers of John Wick, I’m all for it! Also, are you going to review Beau Is Afraid?
The movie has a ton of scenes that are over the top nowhere near realistic but I did not anticipate much realism anyway. Spoiler: . . . . . . The plane did not really go straight to normal ground, it went to a deep swamp... that does not make the scene anywhere near realistic though :)
It wouldn't have been awesome if the creators had time to change the movie to make dude Ukrainian and change the Germans to Russians. That would have been the ultimate "fvck you Putin" movie.
Finland.... Gorgeous? Based on this movie I would never ever want to go to Finland, what a horrific wasteland. This is like saying that Hostel would make me want to go visit Slovakia

That river scene was straight up Jason Voorhees 😆 Fucking loved it

Thats a great mystery monday!!!
Fun fact about hanging. People have survived hanging for days. And originally it was meant to be a slow death, as it was not done with a big drop.
Yup. That is true. If you are not dropped with the noose around your neck it is a slow slow death, sometimes quick, but not every time.
Most people died because the neck snapped, not by asphyxia.
Mike you said the title right cool sir. Sisu kicks major ass!
Sweet! It's gonna be a good day.
Soooo over the top....and I loved it
We’re here. We’re live. We’re coming (😮💨) at ya. Have a great day, everyone!
You too Wyatt!
The plain crashed into a bog/swamp. That is why it looked like it crashed "under the ground".
We have a lot of swamp and wetland in Finland.
Nursing this hangover by getting some GOT'DAMN WWAM up in me😤👍
You know I've been there pal!
Some people might've missed this part. He couldn't get his foot on the nail so he impales his previous leg bullet injury on exposed rebar so he doesn't die of asphyxiation.
I noticed he did that for sure but it was after like 10 minutes of hanging out and after he woke back up. That is a cool idea though. It was gnarly!
Agreed on the plane sequence haha I wish he had actually just found a parachute and jumped out the plane and maybe had a rough landing or something, it would have still been bad ass and in line with the character. But the fact that he survived a straight up plane crash at full speed is insane lmao
He jumped out at the last minute like roadrunner and the swamp softened his landing. :D

@@youngThrashbarg that had to be a really fast last minute because he looked strapped down when that plane hit hard lol 😂
You definitely have to suspend disbelief with this movie for sure absolutely but I really enjoyed it
Me too Joe!
Definitely will see this one

I have heard a lot about Dead Snow but never seen either of them! I appreciate it!
@@WeWatchedAMovie I didn't like part 1, I saw part 2 and it recaps the first movie anyway so you get the idea. 2 was wild and funny.
@@bbutters2 part 2 is off the hook
Dead Snow 1 & 2 are both fantastic good fun! Tubi has 1 for free. 2 I’m not sure…

I couldn't stop looking at T62 tank potraying a German tank, and that Dakota with bomb bay doors.

Can’t wait to see this and I heard The Covenant by Guy Richie is really good too
I really want to see that and Air!
I saw Covenant and Sisu today. Covenant is amazing. Sisu is ok, but totally unbelievable.
@@WeWatchedAMovie all 3 movies were good 👍🏻
Incredible movie
this movie would’ve been so much better if it would’ve been less unbelievable
I was wondering WTH this movie was...I saw it on a poster when I went to see Evil Dead yesterday. Since seeing the title, I've been calling it "Sussudio". Lol
The movie was awesome until the plane scene. Yes it’s an over the top movie but the plane scene pushed it too far lol
My theater doesn't have this movie or Beau is afraid. I would have to drive an hour just to see them. Rip

Can you please review the cursed(2022) directed by Sean Ellis. Really atmospheric and original and would love to see what you think of it
For some incredible things you get a pass in an action movie if it just looks cool.

Only in Halloween Resurrection lol
