Jake in the UK with have an issue with GDPR with contact details of our clients, unless they they give permission we cannot pass on emails and phone numbers. However i normally ask my current clients would they mind meeting with potential clients or leaving a review on google or Houzz but you’ll be surprised how many forget and you end up chasing for a review... but if you give a bad service loads are quick to comment on social media.
Agreed all around, Barry. I'm hardly versed in the details of GDPR, but know that it affects how I might deliver my free online guides and add European folks to my email list in the future... As a matter of ethics, I won't disclose any client information without their permission first. And yes, I also have clients (with GREAT projects!) that are just too caught up in the busy-ness of life to remember to write those reviews, despite sending multiple emails and forms to make it as easy as possible...
