Hi I have a 4+ 350thermo which has been running a couple of months it produces a lot of air bubbles on a daily basis. I’ve tried emptying it and restarting it a few times but with no joy. Do you have this problem on your filters?

I found two used ones for a good amount. Will need to replace all the media inside plus sponges. Have you tried any filter media which is good value conpared to Eheim?
I have kept fish for 20 years now and in that time I have tried many different filters and media. I really like the SubstratPRO because it fits together nicely and forces the water through it. It’s my go to biological media.
i have the same filter 2275 and you dont have to suck the water with your mouth it has a big grey bottom behind the attached hoses . you open the flow and press that bottom and start fillin it with water i have a question .if you can you can help me out can i put a filter floss right in the first canister and on top of it the back media?
Horacio Olivares Hello 👋 I don’t use the prime button when I am first setting up the canister filter because it’s much quicker to just suck on the intake to establish the initial siphon. The prime button can take over 10 minutes and rarely works entirety, or at least for me. The method I used in the video completely circumvents the frustration of using it. I will cover the prime button in the upcoming review of the Eheim. I wouldn’t recommend doing that, but I do have a video showing how I optimise these filters that you may find interesting :)
It can, however after setting up a few of these filters I found it much easier (and much quicker) to establish a siphon using the method I demonstrated.
I have been using these canister filters in the fish room for a few years. I have found them to be very reliable and non of them have given me any issues.
That happens to be my next video! Eheim call it a “range extender”. It opens a valve above the floss allowing water to bypass the floss to increase the flow when the floss is clogged. I don’t recommend using it.
@@straighttalkingexotics9367 And you fill it by pulling on the pipe and water from the aquarium fills the filter? And can it be pressurized behind the pump and fill the filter?
Yes, but using the Prime filter to start a siphon from scratch in this filter is quite a lot of effort, whereas the method I demonstrated is much quicker.
I got hold of a cheap 400 liter aquarium. The problem is that all the filter material is missing and it is impossible to find what I need on Eheim's own pages!!! Now I'm a little wiser and know at least a little about what's needed - about 5 different kinds of filters, where can I find them cheapest without access to the article numbers??? There are no really good shops nearby plus I will have big problems with very mineral rich water! Have tried before with a 160 liter aquarium and it just couldn't get the water quality...
Probably the best description of setting up an ehiem I’ve ever seen
Very clear instructions, very helpful. Now to set up mine :)
Good unboxing and installation video. I suggest to have eheim installation set with this filter.
Good review !
I followed this video step by step while setting up my Pro 4+ 600. Very straightforward. Great video!
I'm glad you found it helpful! Thanks for the feedback :)
I heard the trays are a bit problematic to arrange after maintenance , is it true?
Detailed review! 👍🏻
Great video
Дружище. Это лучшая инструкция по запуску данного фильтра. Спасибо.
Great video - worked like a charm! Volume on video at end ( most important) was low but kudos to you!!☆☆☆☆☆
Thanks for this good review. is it a good idea for a 450 lt big American tank? I am not sure about flow rate. do you recommend this?
Great video! Thanks a lot
I have two of those .
One on a 95 gallon the other one on a 125 gallon .
They awesome !!
What kind of flow rate do you see when the unit is loaded with media?
Nice vid. How's the noise of this filter ? Any low frequency hum or some impeller noises ?

คุ้มไหมครับที่จะซื้อมาใช้ ซึ่งของเดิมใช้ 2217
Спасибо
Thanks😊
I've accidently made the mistake of buying the 250 for my 180L aquarium, thought it would be more than enough as it was my first canister...

@@straighttalkingexotics9367 thank you for answering love how you fix your media in the tank i did the same
Priming can't be done on this using the provided priming button?
It can, however after setting up a few of these filters I found it much easier (and much quicker) to establish a siphon using the method I demonstrated.
how long have you been using this? is there any risk of leak down the line?
I have been using these canister filters in the fish room for a few years. I have found them to be very reliable and non of them have given me any issues.
Why is the volume so low on this video? Maxed volume on my TV and IPad and still can’t hear a lot
Poor quality recording! I apologise. Future videos will be better quality and I might have a look at reshooting this video :)
What is the circular dial on the top of the filter?

do you put water inside the filter before first activation?
marco iacopinelli Yes. I fill the canister, allow the filter to sit for five minutes and then switch it on.

There's a prime button in that filter right?
Yes, but using the Prime filter to start a siphon from scratch in this filter is quite a lot of effort, whereas the method I demonstrated is much quicker.
Ty so much was having trouble youre little suck trick worked lol never even thought to try that
Why not use the priming Button is the question lol?
It’s takes a very long time and many presses to establish the siphon first time. Quicker to do this than press the button 50 times.
Fluval canister offers better pre filtering inside the unit !!
I’m not a fan of Fluval filters. I took them all out of my fish room and replaced with Eheim.
