Im not dark, nor am I super white, but I agree. I can walk inside a makeup store and find more stuff for lighter skins than darker skins, it's not fair, and just "mixing" the shades together is not only a waste of money, but wouldn't it be better if makeup designers would just make shades for all skin tones?
I love the way you explained how black people have trouble finding everything in beauty products where as super light skin is just foundation. I am extremely pale and so I do a lightest shade series on foundation on my channel and whenever I get comments complaining about how light skin has it just as bad I always have a hard time finding the words to explain why we don’t. This is perfect 🙌🏻

Girl I’m hella white and a lot of foundations are too dark for me too, but there are things we can do to make it work! Get a spray tan, mix in some white or lighter foundation shades to make it match. People of color can’t go bleach their skin to make a foundation shade match. 5 “dark” shades to mix and make match your skin tone, please tell me how they can mix shades to make it match if not even 1 shade in dark enough for them? You can mix all 5 of those dark shades together and it still won’t be dark enough for them. Have you not seen the struggles Nyma goes through just to try and find a shade dark enough for her? I would never make an ignorant comment like that. Go watch some of Nyma’s videos and maybe then you’ll understand the struggle of a darker skinned person trying to find shades that work for them. Maybe Jackie could mix two foundation shades to get hers, but it’s near impossible for Nyma to mix two shades to get a darker shade. WAKE UP PEOPLE. Just because you don’t struggle with something doesn’t mean other people don’t. Makeup is for EVERYONE, it should be made for EVERYONE in shades that fit EVERYONE.

Also I just cannot fathom being as hateful as most of these people. I LIKE building other women up. I don’t get tearing each other down. I just live my life and try not to worry about other people. I’m of the ‘you do you’ mindset.

I didn't know that I liked being friends with women -- until I became director of a Girl Scout camp. All it takes is for the community to say, "We are not tolerating any of this behavior."
