    I bought the Keeway (VGA GEV1000 in Denmark) 30km/h version in December, to commute to work, about 10km each way. My arthritis isn't conductive to pedaling an e-bike, so I bit the bullet and bought the cheapest moped (Electro-ped?) I could get. I LOVE that little bike! It is comfortable, dependable and fast off the lights, so I have the bicycle lanes almost to myself. Realistically 45km range, 60km in "Eco" mode, with the limiter set to 20 km/h, and so quiet you can hear the frost crunching under the wheels. Riding with a passenger is illegal in DK, so I ditched the pillion and put on a 30l luggage box, mostly for my helmet. The battery is around 5kg (and half the price of the vehicle!), so I bring it into the apartment to charge, no problem. 10.000kr (1341Euro), slightly more with prep from the dealer. Not only a great commuter, but a quality-of-life piece of kit!

    Hello from Greece. Great video, great presentation with funny moments that make it more easy to watch to people that they try a lot to get a UK english accent (like me). I would like to buy a Keeway E-ZI Mini, do you use it for uphills at least 20%? If yes how is it going and with how much weight on around? If not what do you think about uphill of this size from your experience? Thanks a lot!!👍

    I just bought an ebike last week, looks like the coopops bigger brother, almost identical even has 1000w motor and 48v battery, and its orange, love the coopops looks but my arse is killing me looking at it, that would kill my coccyx even my new bike does and has front suspension, custom seat build next for mine.

    The Coco Poop don't do anything for me it's got far too much to say for itself, I'd end up biting it on the headlamps. If Malcy had not walked past in the intro chuffing on a bag of munchies offering them to no one I note, he would have won that drag race for he would have been lighter.

    Awesome Vid, many thanks for making the effort, its more than the importers seem to be capable of. Slightly puzzled with your summary as you say the coopop is "a lot more rapid" this appears to be at odds to your drag race where they were perfectly matched. Im going to buy one of these tomorrow but not sure which. I want one for taking to the caravan in the back of my van. The coopop is perhaps the better choice as the spare battery is a lot less than a spare for the Keyway. It (coopop) will presumably also have better climbing capability than the Keyway due to the extra power and the small wheels. Is this the basis of your "more rapid" observation? I have no doubt that the Keyway will be far plusher on the road than the coopop but that isnt really a big deal, especially with low tyre pressure. Thanks again, very helpful video. I'll let you know which I buy and how I get on.

      50 miles to a charge and 1000 charge cycles = 50,000 miles out of a battery.
      These bikes are built for short city commuting, but assuming someone rode a lot - 10 miles to work, and 10 miles back. That’s 20 miles a day, 100 miles a week, or about 5000 miles a year.
      That means the batteries would last 10 years…
      There seems to be such a focus on replacement batteries, and their cost - but in reality the battery is likely to outlive the bike itself!!

  • @wayne90079
    @wayne90079 Рік тому

    • @JakeM218
      @JakeM218 3 роки тому +2

      How far do you want to ride at 28mph? They’re built for the city and short range.
      The more battery capacity, the heavier they are, and the worse they perform.
      Most people will be using these very locally, and likely charging them once or twice a week for a few hours.
      A bike like this is never going to be a sole vehicle anyway. It’ll get you to the office, to the train station etc.

  • @nellmoll

    Why doesn't anyone test the battery mileage range...? An absolute deal breaker when buying one 😕

    • @JakeM218
      @JakeM218 3 роки тому

      The range should be fairly accurate. They run a Bosch motor with a fixed wattage, and the battery has a set number of watts / hour it can produce.
      It’s not like a petrol / diesel vehicle where the fuel consumption changes a massive amount based on revs.

    • @JakeM218
      @JakeM218 3 роки тому

      The batteries last 1000 charge cycles and 50 miles per charge - so 50,000 miles.
      Even assuming 20 miles a day, 100 miles a week, and 5000 miles a year - it will take 10 years before the battery needs replacement.
      People focus on battery life, but chances are the battery will outlive the rest of the bike!
