PAES WATER Prawns are growing!

We received the prawn as post larvae in October. On January 9 we graded them by hand and moved the larger individuals into production tanks for grow out. Their average weight is 0.57 grams. We expect to harvest them in late March or early April at an average weight of 40 grams.
Interesting fact: Prawn are cannibalistic by nature and require a lot of space. The black mesh structures in the video were added to the production tanks to give the prawn shelter and places to hide. This greatly increases survivability by reducing instances of cannibalism.
