Creepypasta mods usually are entertaining from the start so everyone usually stays to watch/play the whole thing and then ends up spreading the word about the mod because the mod manages to hold their retention long enough to see all the cool parts. Most people have a short attention span, you must show them why a mod is good quick before they get bored and leave.
