The key components of Loyd's race: 20% fitness, 20% willpower, 10% enjoying the views, 50% saying, "cheers mate, thanks man" to all the well -wishers at the checkpoints 😅❤👍🏻🏃♂️
Who's that guy at the beginning? I wouldn't use him again to be honest. He's not up to your standard mate. Great running dude. I'm willing to bet that's not your last 100 miler!
😂 I was so confused at first. I am vision impaired, and I am not a runner because of my heart condition. I love your videos because you are a great storyteller, and you motivate me to get up and keep going. Lol I can't see faces that well, but I know your voice. So when I saw the other guy come on first, I was so confused. See, I know I'm not crazy. My hearing is very good😂 I love your videos. Thank you for taking me on your crazy adventures. I was stressed because of my eyesight, but your videos and other videos like this take me to a whole other world. It makes me want to explore my world with a vision impairment. When you stumble in the dark, it makes me feel a whole lot better about myself😂 So thank you very much for your amazing videos❤
Awesome race video Loyd - George Clooney 🤣🤣 i did wonder how you were going to manage that! Was great to run the last section with you - thanks for the company and thanks for not stitching us up in the editing! See you dreckly.
Cheers Stuart, really glad you enjoyed the video! It was awesome hooking up with you guys for the last 25 miles. It really did ease the suffering and you were great company, hopefully we can do it again sometime 🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♂️😁
What a stunning course. Truly beautiful scenery, and I love that the course was rolling hills rather than one of those where you're required to have the genetic make-up of a mountain goat. Well done Lloyd. Always quality content, and congrats on the run.
Loyd, it was a superb race weekend, wasn’t it? I loved the race! Congratulations on your strong finish and thank you as ever for your video. It’s great to be able to relive aspects of the event. I don’t think it’s possible to have better conditions, so feel very fortunate to have been in the field and across that finish line. Sorry to miss you during the race - but see you on the hills soon!
Well Done Loyd!! Impressive doing the 100 and keeping the spirits up and filming it for us here on UA-cam. 💪🏼 🙏 On a very beautiful course in perfect conditions. 👌🏼
congrats! I wore these Shoes on the SDW50 in April. best my feet were after a 50. Also used them on a recent 60km up on the Pennine way and they performed brilliant there too. taking them to the alps in a couple of weeks. 🙂
Cracking video. Thank you so much. Filming must make the 100 miles tougher than if you just got on with it. But I am so glad and grateful you did take your camera along. Well done, congratulations and thank you for the lovely video. 👍
Can confirm the Prodigios are superbly supportive and comfortable on the SDW: I haven't done 100miles in one go but lot's more than that in shorter bursts over the past couple of months, mainly in the bit you didn't get to see due to darkness...😁
That was a brilliant intro with Stephen haha HUGE congratulations on finishing Loyd, that really is impressive! I will be on the 2025 start line giving my first 100 miler a good old bash, so see you there ;-) Maybe a future video request could be what training you did for the event, or what you would recommend people like me who have never done the SDW100 do as good build up training etc? Well done again buddy 👏
Great video! Inspired me to look at some new trainers, my Pegasus 4 gortex aren't cut out for these kind of miles I don't think. Did my first 50mile trial ultra yesterday part of the hardmoor series! I'm hooked and looking at new kit, where did you get that run or die t-shirt from I love it !!! Cheers for the inspiration 🤙🏽

Loyd, massive congratulations on completing the 100. Another superb video too. Really enjoyed watching this. Reminded me a lot of when I did the Race to the Stones 100k 3 years ago. The rolling English countryside is truly stunning, something I do miss now that we have moved to Sydney. I would highly recommend the RTTS 100k race. An amazing set up, and a beautiful point to point route. Hope you've recovered well. Massive well done again.
Thanks Ian, glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for watching. Yeap, I know the RTTS 100k well. All there events are super well organised, maybe I’ll run it one day. Hope Sydney is treating you well 🙂
Great video Loyd, it was a real pleasure running with you, those miles really flew by. I hope the ribs are healing, I must have just missed you doing that. Well done also for giving @filmmyrun his five minutes of fame! 50km next year!? Have fun in ‘Loyd of Arabia’ too, that’s going to be another epic adventure.
Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it! It was great spending some miles together, time really did fly by while we were chatting! You’ve got to help the old man out, he loves a camera 😂 Super excited about Ultra X Jordan, if you can’t capture good content there you might as well give up! Thanks for watching and supporting the channel, it’s really appreciated 🙏🙂
Great video Loyd. I had the pleasure of saying hello as you arrived on site on Friday. I think you’ve really summed up brilliantly what the SDW100 is all about. You couldn’t ask for a better organised, supported and marked event. The route is beautiful and challenging but not extreme. The 100 mile distance is pretty mind blowing and really gives you that feeling of pride at the end that shorter distances can’t match. Glad the shoes performed well and you avoided blisters. Look forward to seeing your next event
It definitely got pretty challenging towards the end, like it always does when you’re running 100 miles! It’s a brilliant race, you should definitely give it a go 👍🙂

Is the toe box spacious to accommodate?
Thanks very much 🙏 I think my ribs are just bruised but they still hurt now? I’d say the PRODIGIO has a bit more toe box width compared to the Xodus Ultra 2 but it’s not as wide as an Altra shoe or the new TRAILFLY from Inov8. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 😁
