The best thing about She-Hulk is how chill and fun she is. The animated TV series keeps showing that she is an amazing person to know -- she is a great friend, a supportive cousin, a good lawyer, and a reliable protector. I have always liked that version of her for her character design and her personality. Disney's She-Hulk...eh, there is no She-Hulk, there is a bitter, egotistical woman named Jen who keeps ranting about how hard it is to be a woman and turns green sometimes.

She can carry a scene largely by herself, something no MCU main character does often or well with the exception of Iron man, Captain America and Thanos (yes, despite being an antagonist, he counts, Infinity war was really Thano's movie). Many of the old versions were written as people first, and the message they sent was integrated into their character. The current ones are written for the message the writers want to tell, then their personality solely around that. It doesn't work that way round.

I think what I liked most about THIS She-Hulk is her sultry, silky voice. I guess that's why my expectations weren't met when I saw the trailer for the She-Hulk series. Oh well, I'll still give it a shot
Shit, if I was The Hulk, I'd be pissed off every time I see her. Think about it, all of Banner's life he's been hunted and treated like a monster. Then when she gets the green, she's treated like a goddess, complete with a successful career and lucrative deals left and right. Not saying she's not awesome, but the fact that she's treating her gamma makeover like it's the best damn Christmas gift she ever had while it's nothing but a curse on Banner's side... like it's some kind of cosmic joke or something. Sorry for that rant, I just noticed that while watching this and I just had to share my thoughts.
It kinda is sad, his curse is her blessing (even if Jennifer has to accept the shortcomings of being a gamma girl on occasion). Also, of course Hulk would be pissed, being angry is his whole “thing”. Also apparently no one finds a male Hulk attractive.
He doesn't because it's technically not either's fault. The Gamma Radiation affects what is already there...the Latent personality one fears to let loose. Bruce Banner, due to YEARS of Neglect and abuse, had a tendency to hold back his anger and race at the smallest things, Hulk is that release valve. For Jennifer, Her issue was always her lack of confidence and wanting to be MORE than what she was, a career oriented business lawyer. It's more complex here and there but this is the end result.
Jen had a huge factor going for her: her hulk form is hot. Oh, and the fact that she could mostly control herself instead of going on highly destructive rampages could also have helped a little, though of course it would have been a comparatively insignificant factor.
TBH banner had DID way before becoming hulk...so when he became hulk...his angry personality took over the body...and sometimes other personality takes over him...like savage hulk, immortal hulk and Mr fixit a mobster...(and all that was way before moon knight became had DID origin)
This is the She Hulk we should’ve gotten. Can’t say for certain, but I like to think we would’ve gotten a good live action Jen had the Norton film gotten sequels as originally planned. But again, no telling, probably would’ve been better or worse.

This is what she hulk is ment for, to be confident and comfortable with herself well living her best life. She doesn’t need to prove she’s independent or strong she knows she sexy strong. That’s the difference the new show FAILED at.
One of the biggest changes is that, in the comics and cartoons, She Hulk LOVED being her big green self AUTOMATICALLY after getting her powers. In the new one, she literally fights Bruce over turning her into a hulk. Willing to trash his whole place that Iron Man built for him just for that. Right. It really is sad as hell that I really truly do miss this She Hulk so very much who was the best I always loved that about her ever since I was a Kid ngl tho
It's interesting dichotomy of Hulk and She-Hulk that his transformation is always anger related, while hers is arousing, ecstatic even in a sexual way. I know it comes from the fact that her transformation amplifies her femininity, to Bruce's repressed rage, but I always liked how "old guard writers" knew how to add such depth to their work.
She-hulk, plucky, fair, confident, and genuine in all her beautiful green glory. One part superhero, another part well rounded people expert. Just the way she was always meant to be which made her iconic and welcoming thus becoming a potential inspiration to real women. Unlike today, unfortunately, where she’s now a victim throwing a hissy fit any chance she gets. Very shameful, Disney.

Sexy lines every second? Lmao I’d love to have her personality but we don’t need her saying she wants something smaller and tighter so much lmao. Her writers wrote her in the comics to basically fuck every man she could. The show is based off her more recent comic run which was good too
I recall there are two times Jennifer Walters had transformed into She-Hulk: one when she experienced her first (pleasurable) transformation at Dr. Doom's lab; and two when she tried to save her fellow alumni girls from getting crushed by a falling pillar with her normal self but transformed back in time.

This was my introduction to She-Hulk as a kid. It’s interesting comparing her to the MCU version, who feels more immature and goofier. This She-Hulk has more confidence and is more suave. She’s got that ‘girl power’ aspect to her (I mean she literally calls herself a ‘liberated lady’) but doesn’t feel egotistical or condescending.
This She Hulk just screams confidence, something the writers on the other show was trying to go for. Having Cree Summer being the voice was a nice touch as well. She played my favorite character in A Different World.

I love how utterly feral she is. I don't know much about the she-hulk show, but I do they pushed a lot of feminist stuff to the point of ruining the character, but she hulk was honestly already a feminist icon. She's outside tradition "feminine beauty" yet still beautiful, she's strong and stands on her own without hulk, she's confident in her own sexuality for her, not for men, and generally she's an independent badass who will bit you and look great while doing it.

@@MTV2O2O Betty Ross the Red She-Hulk loves him
He doesn't because it's technically not either's fault.

She-hulk, plucky, fair, confident, and genuine in all her beautiful green glory. One part superhero, another part well rounded people expert.
