Great video man, I appreciate it. I have been looking at the Bronson for some time, but your description of the Megatower for me in particular has me very excited. I’m 6’0 275lb, so I want something that can handle my weight. The one problem I run in to is my inseam. It’s like 28” at 6’ tall lol. Just out of curiosity; now that you’ve had the megatower for a bit, do have any additional tips or tricks for a bigger rider on the Megatower? Honestly, you could probably make a ton of videos about this, not a lot of forum chatter for the big guys. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Thanks dude! I appreciate that. As for the Megatower, I do think it’s a much better option for bigger dudes like us. I don’t think your inseam will effect the sizing too much. Maybe just hopping between and medium and a large to reassure what feels more comfortable to you. Might need a different dropper post length. The Bronson is still a great option. Just if you’re riding rowdier trails, it may not ride quite the same as for someone who’s a 150lbs and thinks it’s plenty of bike. I’m still really stoked with my Large Megatower and the coil instead of the air shock in the rear. Much more consistent in my opinion. It really is a efficient long travel trail bike that is great for big guys. I hope that helps 🤘
Loam Troopers MTB yeah brotha that helps a lot! Thank you. I wish they had more 650-700lb spring options though, TFTuned recommends 697-746 for me. However, I think with the trails here in Austin it shouldn’t be a big deal going with a slightly lighter one. This bike is probably overkill for my terrain but if it feels that much better for the big dudes, it’s worth it to me!
Great review! Loved the edits and this is exactly what I was looking for. I demo'd a bronson yesterday and man did I love it. I feel like i had so much more control with the 27.5 but I also feel you on the travel. I wish the bronson had 160 in the rear. I have no idea what I'm going to get but I think i'm leaning towards the Bronson. After riding a 29'er for the last few years it was nice to come back to a 27.5. The Bronson just plows everything and Im sure the megatower is similar. Have you had more time to think about it? Would you still go with the Megatower? I'm 5'11/165lbs. Some suggestions! I would break up this video into sections. For example... climbing, descending, comparisons, different trails, talk about your experiences with the bronson a little more. Mention what you will be talking about in the beginning and break it down. Also, I would close with a good summary. You kind of just left it with riding which was cool but I'd like to hear a recap. Great shots and editing.
Thanks for the feed back on the video! I really appreciate it! As far as what I would do, I’m 6’1” 245~ so the Bronson feels a tad shallower for me as far as travel goes. But feels bottomless in a controlled situation. I think for myself, more time on the Megatower would have made it feel like a Bronson. Just a longer wheel base which I’m comfortable with. After some shock tuning and cockpit adjustments, I would be stoked. A solution for you could be the Cascade Components LT link for the Bronson. You gain 6mm of travel and it ramps the leverage curve. I recommend checking it out! Could be a 27.5 MegaBronson?! 🤔🧐
Vaporizer Wizard why not go for a nomad? I am curious as I decide between nomad and bronson. Isn’t it basically a bronson with more travel? I rode nomad and if felt similar to bronson but a bit more fun. Didn’t notice hill climbing differences but i am horrible at feeling bikes i adapt to easily.
Vaporizer Wizard that’s easy the Bronson is sluggish and slow like the new Hightower, the V3 is the worst bike I’ve ever ridden , the Megatower is a 1000 times better I’d never ever buy a Bronson, I have a Canyon Torque CF8 it’s better than the Bronson EASY. 👍🏽
EdensGardenShed the Nomad is WAY WAY better than the Bronson, the Bronson rides like it’s made of Wood , horrible bike 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 I’d give the Bronson 1/10 the Nomad 9/10 Megatower 9.5/10 the new Hightower 0/10
Nice video. I just bought the Megatower S build. Was decently priced and fits my riding style perfectly. To anyone thinking about buying this bike, get the coil. It is so worth it!
I’ve been seriously considering the bronson as my next bike but now you have me double guessing it. oh well.... guess I’ll have to demo a mega tower now ☺️
I weigh 240lbs. I didn’t bottom it out everything, just more then I wanted to. It’s still a great bike for heavy riders, just depends what your mainly riding and how you ride it. I hope that helps 🤘
Find you riding style before you buy a bike my bike is 130 front 125 rear and now I’m looking at 160 front 160 rear because I like to just straight line
@@thanosbustedinyourmum depends on the build you get though, I'm torn because I can either get the R Megatower or the S aluminum Bronson.... Idk if I want better components off the bad or a better frame that I can upgrade

Vaporizer Wizard The Megatower is 500 times better than the V 3 ,

Nice man! Did you go with black or green??
@@loamtroopers I went with the green. It is the best color in SC's lineup, in my opinion.
Great video. Can’t believe even a single person gave a thumbs down...may the mtb God grant you mercy
Haha! 😂 Thanks a ton! I really appreciate that! 🤘
Great video !!! I have this bike in the all black. I love it. The thing is a beast at the trail and at the park.
I appreciate that!
Awesome! It’s a one bike quiver for sure!
That megatower color though 😍
Cassandra Marin right?! Gorgeous!
Chewing gum while riding, pretty casual. Bike looks pretty sweet.
Nice content bro! I love the mega tower!
Thanks man! I appreciate that! The Megatower is so rowdy 🤘
I’ve been seriously considering the bronson as my next bike but now you have me double guessing it. oh well.... guess I’ll have to demo a mega tower now ☺️
Highly recommend demoing the Megatower as well. Don’t want any buyers remorse 😉
Damn it. I was sold on the Hightower until I saw that. Now I don't know what to do...
Try to hop on one. The Hightower is a rad bike for sure. It is nice having the extra travel though. Doesn’t ride like all the big bikes
I've been trying to decide between the two but the megatowers colors are just so much better!
Haha! I agree 100%
Just wondering how much u weigh since u said u bottom out on the Bronson. Considering that bike
I weigh 240lbs. I didn’t bottom it out everything, just more then I wanted to. It’s still a great bike for heavy riders, just depends what your mainly riding and how you ride it. I hope that helps 🤘
Get a megneg air can for Bronson. No volume spacer in positive or negative side. Makes it the greatest thing ever!
Are you riding with one?!
@@loamtroopers yes sir 25% sag and greatest thing ever
Wow! I need to give it a try. Thanks for the recommendation 🤘
Best tune ever! Its a different bike now
I want to know what you think about the new Hightower compared to Bronson and Mega
I can’t wait to make that one!
Find you riding style before you buy a bike my bike is 130 front 125 rear and now I’m looking at 160 front 160 rear because I like to just straight line
Nice review!!
Thanks, Jose!
I’m debating the MT or the new specialized enduro , the spec I want is cheaper than the MT ...
Both are very rad bikes. Im sure you’d be stoked with either one. Does the specialized have a lifetime warranty?
@@loamtroopers yes lifetime on frame and carbon wheels
you just remind me that I have born in wrong place
Makes good travel inspiration!
Just rode there. Great trail.
So much fun!
If you are bottoming out the Bronson then a Nomad is probably the better bike for you.
Maybe! 🤘
Nomad is way too much. I rode mega, nomad, high and 5010 on XC trails the mega rolled better, Bronson, the 5010,high is almost alike.
Great video
Thanks! I appreciate that
You must be R.A.T.M fans
1:17 damn dat stack height
Cringe worthy, haha 🤦♂️
Unless your Luca Shaw, the Bronson is better. Period.
No the mega has better suspension
@@thanosbustedinyourmum depends on the build you get though, I'm torn because I can either get the R Megatower or the S aluminum Bronson.... Idk if I want better components off the bad or a better frame that I can upgrade
damn... 29,300 dont appreciate nature smh
Right?!
123 subs lol
Is that an xl
No, this is a large.
