Thank you so much for uploading these wonderful books. My eyesight has been dramatically affected by cataracts, making reading books virtually impossible. It gives me so much pleasure to be able to listen to them.
I, too, have visual problems. Most days I can see to type if my face is close to the keys, but I don't have cataracts. I have paralysis of my eye muscles, so although the eyes themselves work, I see two of everything more than a few inches away. Those of you with good eyes, don't take them for granted, and don't make the mistake I did. If your doctor ignores it, or blames it on eye strain, keep seeing doctors until someone takes it seriously. Thanks so much for this beautiful narration. I've never read this book before, and I find the descriptions of Regency life so interesting.
I've read other books by Jane Austen, but not this one. I was shocked at the beginning when Mrs. Allen allowed her to go alone in a carriage with a young man and no chaperone, or that Mrs. Allen gave her directions to the Tilneys and she " walked" there herself? I'm not nearly old enough to be Regency Era, lol. I was a teen with an old fashioned British descent mother and grandmother and in the 1980s, I wasn't allowed to do this. I know even in the Victorian Era, you couldn't do this, and a proper man's family would never expect you to.
I have to read this for school and didn't look forward to it (I don't really enjoy reading in general) but damn that's such a cool book I'm so pleasantly surprised 👍
Thank you for the recommendation. We will certainly add it to our list. It is our true honor that this work resonates so well with you. Thank you for your kind regards.
Right around the 5:16:00 mark I think a whole bunch is missing... One minute they are in the dead mother's room and the next she's sad Isabella isn't writing her... Also... Another audiobook with this same title runs for over 9 hours.
Whilst I find the reading very clear it feels a little rushed (for my taste.) I've only just reached chapter 7, that's 53 minutes or so. I found a version that's 9 hours long. In that reading chapter 7 begins at 1 hour and 7 minutes. That's 14-ish minutes slower, in just 6 chapters. Perhaps the reading speed alone accounts for the discrepancy? Thank you for allowing me to change narrators.
@@Miss_Judy I wonder why. It's a lot of work and commitment reading something this long, and it claims "unabridged". Still, I'm pleased with the new Reader. Enjoy the rest of the story.
@@machanrahan9591 Well... seeing that the majority of these audiobooks on youtube are hijacked - I'm betting this channel owner hacked together the book from its legal source... not wanting to be bothered with stealing the entire audiobook - only wanting to do it as fast as possible - to have it downloaded faster? Who knows... and thank you - you too (re: Enjoy the rest of the story) :)
We'll definitely add the title to the list! We have a variety of narrators/readers that we pull from. We can certainly get the title at some point. Thank you for being with us!

@@machanrahan9591 it may be the speed - but there were parts cut out too.
