Really intresting way to look the solution!
Sir apko kya jarurat ye sub dekhne ki 🙄
@@amanamola4179 I watch every video my seniors upload
Awesome one. But pretty obvious isn't it?
Alternatively in the close friends list of Instagram, we can add a ‘give stories priority’ , and keep the UI all the same and do something about the way stories are shown. Or alternatively we can have two views for stories- one according to users priority(algorithm) and one for normal(time based -algo). Im still learning so yes there could be some solutions that can be way better or more simpler.
I thought similarly there should be an option that can give priority to a page this way no matter how many if you follow the Priority page's Story and the post will be shown first
Your whole approach, of questioning to find the WHY to designing a very simple yet effective solution. Just fried my brain left right and center. Just starting out in UX & this 7 minute single handedly challenged my way of approaching, Thanks for sharing it Abhinav
thinking about user problems & solutions over features! 🙌
another great video 🚀
What to take away ? The whole mindset, of course ! I've heard a lot that "think from user's perspective" but this is the first time I've grasped it so well, and I'm going to use it at the best of my ability, thank you, Abhinav ! See ya around, really loved this Vid ! ❤❤
The moment you put front the problem I figured this was a code issue rather than a design issue but later on in the video you explored both parts and I had my answers, thanks for explaining things clearly.
Loving these weekly uploads!
you have an incredible way of explaining these scenarios with reference videos. Love it and waiting for more.
Thank you for this 😊 very much needed
Thanks for bringing it❤
That is great, really first thought that comes to mind is adding a search bar. But the way a show me, that how I should approach towards a problem really fantastic.
I would've done the same sticky search icon over gradient a year back. Thankfully, now I zoom out to have a better perspective - it always helps!
Awesome video 🚀🚀
You should do livestream 1 day a week and maybe give us feedback on our designs for just an hour maybe.
Will definetly help boost this channel. Anyway great content as always.
nice idea! will try
I had the same problem. Now i ise 3 accounts to follow close friends, artists and abnux, and one for purely networking. But yes someone could make it all one in a simple way, it would be so great!
I don't know if you have noticed but now in the Instagram app, on the top left side where Instagram is written, there is a little downside arrow with the options of the following and favorites which can help segregate the Instagram accounts. following for the networking, and the artist in the favorites section I guess. let me know your thoughts.
Such a great video. Thanks for creating
The point where you asked why the users aren't being able to find the relevant stories as an important step. W/o having a good answer to this it's very difficult to move forward.
Very Informative !
I watch a lot of designing videos and get to learn a little, but there is some different content in your video and this video made us think that we can also think like this, thank you very much, keep making such content 🙏
Thanks for the video. Quite insightful for a newbie like myself. Taking a step back, assessing the real problem and asking the right questions is vital for a fitting user solution. What came to mind with your example was ‘subtraction’ solutions should be considered before adding more features.
Learned a new thing. I will apply this from now
Empathising with the user to build great sustainable products, totally blown away with this thought process💁🏻♀️ sucha great vid😶🌫️
Totally awesome ❤❤
Never clicked on a video so fast 😅.
Another inspiring video full of important information 😊. Keep up the good work ✌🏻.
We should have a proper approach to the problem before finalizing or jumping to some random solutions. This was pretty thoughtful, thanks!
This makes so much sense now that you say it.
We can also try this approach..by splitting the stories into three parts..stories of the celebrity accounts/meme pages , story of close friends list, story of people (non celebrity) whom we follow
Great video BRUH 👑
Great vedio💙💙
looking at the big picture🙏🏼🙏🏼✌✌
Loved the recent content bro!
10K for life
Loved it
I also have an idea that is, we can just add an feature to pin stories for our specific choice of people. with this we can see if anyone (specific people) put any stories or not, after pinned stories remaing stories is shown so after watching pinned stories users can see more stories from different people which in turn increase watch time bcz some time people doesnt check stories just because they dont know random person.
Holy shit this is amazing!
Thankyou
A newbie me would've said let's see how snapchat is doing it, and copy them.
But professional me, would account for factors such as people you've already added as closed friends, people you've most frequent chats with, which could help in managing the story queue, kinda like a recommendation with certain priority set based on user's behaviour and interaction.
Instagram consists a feature where we can mark close friends. I think some tweak in algorithm where the close friends stories will be displayed first and then follows the rest.
Changing the story algorithm to display first the stories of the people we follow and who also follow us back("friends") might be effective.
Your idea makes a great sense, a bit of correction from my side is changing the story algorithm to prioritize the stories according to their interaction with that friend, and if the user doesn't interact with many of his friends on Instagram, then showing the stories as your method.
I think that what if we can set an algorithm like
WHENEVER YOU DONT SEE A FRIEND STORY FOR 2 WEEK
INSTAGRAM WILL SEND YOU A MESSAGE FLOATING MESSAGE ON YOUR SCREEN like
Hey you haven't watched this guy for this this day do check it out in a very short script
Another idea can be
CREATE A SIMPLE BUTTON WITH ICON to add a friend having similarity with your profile like area, college, domain of study or some other to have your favourites or best friend just kind sort of like a bookmark and one algorithm must arrange the stories in such a way that that stories should appear first and then another
In this way one can see his friemd stories first
But the algorithm must be very accurate and fast so that it musy update itself every timr as per thr dynamic data being generated
Maybe we can ask users to maybe star ⭐ those people whose story they wanna check out frequently and we'll show their stories and post on priority
can we also try giving filter over stories ?
Another alternative can be to have a 'Favourites' list, same as the favourites Instagram now provides for posts. Users can select accounts whose stories they want to see more often to add into the Favourites list. Then the list will show stories of only the accounts they have selected.
This solution may not be good enough as I'm still a beginner but atleast this is where my thinking process takes me.
Nice, that could be cool too - the drawback would be that it requires upfront setup with decision making (who should I add? do I keep coming back to add new people?) rather than being automatic, so impact might be lower
@@abnux Aha, well that's true. Thanks man! Keep it up with the good content! 🙌🏼
Thank you very much for this video sir, could you please make a video about figma alternatives
stick to Figma, it’s not going anywhere 😃
@@abnux Faxx
@@abnux Ok sir, thank you very much for your help
What I thought the solution can be was : just change the coding or algorithm so that users get only those stories at first whose stories they regularly watch.
Did you edit this vid yourself...?
too much talks but output in less. It 'll gr8 help if you provide knowledge directly in short. thanx
A better option will be just to show close friends first to the user. @ABNUX
These points going to notion rgt away 🥸
I am just amazed by your explanation abhinav sir 🫡 thanks for such insightful and helpful content
