Bought my first car stick shift, never driven stick before. I was fine but always peeled out in 1st. Then after about a week of this, a co-worker gave me 1 verbal instruction and I instantly was able to drive stick. Since then, I have used the same verbal instruction and taught people to drive stick in less than 5 minutes.
@BigStangWolf Basically we all know the clutch is pushed in to change gears and then you give it gas. But if you master the initial take off, you got it. So if you been in an auto, when it is in drive without the gas, as it coasts forward, this is what you want to remember with what I tell you next. All cars clutches feel different. So to learn a cars clutch, you have to control the clutch. I want you to depress the clutch, put it in first and not use the gas until you control the clutch. I want you to slowly release clutch until you feel the car move ward and you maintain it long enough to give it some gas to balance the transfer from the clutch to be fully independent on the gas pedal alone. Then you have mastered manual transmission for that vehicle.
@maryjanetheresa604 yeah once you master first gear, the rest is easy. You can literally push clutch, give gas and let go of clutch. It is just controlling the start so you don't peel out or accelerate too fast (or burn clutch) that you must master in 1st gear. Most modern cars have uphill assist, so if you are uphill, it holds so you can easily go. If it is an older car, a trick is to use the handbrake to keep you from rolling back, give it some gas and go. You can also learn to control the car by letting it roll back and give gas but if someone is behind you, you don't want to roll into them, so use handbrake too.

Him nervously checking if the gear is in neutral or not is funny asf 🤣
Bro risked his entire engine for a bit.
Bought my first car stick shift, never driven stick before. I was fine but always peeled out in 1st. Then after about a week of this, a co-worker gave me 1 verbal instruction and I instantly was able to drive stick. Since then, I have used the same verbal instruction and taught people to drive stick in less than 5 minutes.
what did he say? hope you don't mind sharing the wisdom
@@iAmFAUST i understand the transition between pedals now. Thank you.
Thanks for the advice!
Ending is the funniest part for sure. 😂
That boy still rolling took me out 😂😂
Is that even a question, blips into 2nd is the funniest shit ever to me
