18x National Champions! I'm not a Alabama fan but they truly are the New York Yankees, Real Madrid, Los Angeles Lakers and New England Patriots of College Football!
From now on if they wanna recruit somebody all they have to say is “have you seen our training facility yet?” There’s no way anybody would wanna turn that down
People forget that it's stuff like this that 'peaks the interest' from student athletes they're trying to recruit. It's a great way to sell your program on how important you value the people in it.
Lol, my kid was offered a bunch of scholarships for college football. One of the reasons he picked the school he went to was because he loved their uniforms. 18 year old kids are influenced by the stupidest things. P Luckily they also paid the most in scholarships. He went to a FCS school.
The wireless phone charger is a cool idea. Something little you wouldn’t necessarily think about that would make the player a little more comfortable. Must be nice when you forget your charger lol
I'm a huge football fan, but none of this is sitting well with me. If the school has that much money to spend on facilities, at least a small portion SHOULD go to the student athlete.
Football is more important than education. Students that want to better themselves are in debt because of this. Reason why people can’t afford to go to college. It’s a luxury
This isn't half of the experience. The first 5 steps through the player entrance is enough to give anyone chills. I've been lucky enough to get the recruit tour. It's a wonder anyone decides to go elsewhere.
Imagine the roster possibilities if the NFL had the type of revenue that college football makes. Yearly cap would be insane every team would be loaded literally.
The NFL makes MORE! the difference is that the profits are split among the owners, and DON'T go back to the individual (schools), so that makes coffers swell for the schools versus an individual or consortium of owners. Plus the plus the fact is, the main thing is, the NFL DOESN'T take donations from rich alumni.
Absolutely insane!!!!! The majority of these kids will NEVER be surrounded by this type of indulgence the rest of their lives!!!!! Imagine living your best life 18-21. Not to say that it is downhill from there, but there aren't many working environments that can compete with this. As I have said so many time over the past 20 years... college football has changed. Universities, in essence, buy championships, or at the very least, spend money to play at the highest level. Having said this, it is great to see the college football rankings where they are are the moment and WHO is in the top 5 (Iowa #2, Cincinnati #3, etc). We are only halfway thru the year and my sense is that the usual suspects will rise to the top again before the year is over.
My presumption here is that they only revisited Alabama to update viewers with their latest trophies (CFP national championship, SEC championship; Heisman trophy). Sweeping the sport's most distinguished, and esteemed prizes in a single season merits a return visit, no? I'm also pretty sure I remember them saying they weren't finished in the first video, and Alabama invited them back once construction and renovation is complete so that they can give them a proper tour of the finished product.
I played in high school and the weight room, locker room, coach's office, and bathrooms and showers were underneath the stadium about 2500 sq feet.
