Half the ball is gone, half of the brushroll doesn't spin, half of the wand assembly is broken... is there anything on this machine that's even remotely complete? Finding a modern Dyson Ball in the wild worth saving truly is like finding a needle in a haystack. Somehow I found my DC41 at a thrift store for $12, and all I needed to do was wash the cyclone and replace the brushroll!
Nice job fixing this vac. I’m thinking about fixing our vacuum cleaner and changing the filter so it can “breathe easier” as in have less restrictive airflow. Edit: I mean MY vacuum cleaner. I had a problem with saying OUR too often.
I think that wand will fix easily, on the old dysons the screw that holds the cord hook on also held the wand in. If you loosened that screw slightly and coated the end in glue before pushing it back and tightening I think it would work.
Just acquired one of these. All it needed was a good clean. I’m going to get the filters. Mine cleaned up but I’d like new ones. The brush roll works wine the bristles are just gone. What motor do these have the 10, 11, or 12 amp. I found the serial number tag on mine but can’t seem to find when it was built or the motor size
My next door neighbors have one of these and my other next door neighbors have the dc25 animal and she said that she is waiting for it to stop working so she can get the ball animal 2
Wow, what lies! Of course you can wash the cyclones. Been doing it for years. Also, how do you think vacuum shops get the crud out of them for customers? Hilarious comment of the day. 🤣

I have scrapped so many of these. Compared to the older Dysons, these things seem to be totaled at a much higher rate.
They’ve gone to far with the planned obsolescence
What an score Bill!
I just got a dc17 for free the cyclone was plugged and caked up.
DC17 is America's Beast! One of the best!
I'm looking for a working used dc17 hmu on yt if you find me one
Bill I think your going to have to build an extension with all these Curb finds .
My misses would kill me 😂
They are flooding in, so to speak.
@@VacLab 😂
I found one of these the other day by the curb. Other than the fact that the attachments are missing, it is entirely intact and fully functional.
Good find!

Nice vacuum find people must throw away a lot of vacuums by you that’s good for people like us
They do everywhere these days because nobody take care of their stuff anymore🙄
@@arancunningham7256 I agree
I’m dealing with that on a DC25. It’s been soaking in Persil.
Great, but have you scored a nickel? 😄

Dyson dc41 part is missing of ball left
If you clean it up I'll take it
You can’t wash the cyclones it will ruin them and this from a former worker of dyson
