Recently purchased the EZVIZ C8W. Great camera only thing I wish it had is automatic scanning of the yard. Right now you have to manually pan the camera to see certain areas not visible. Wonder if there is a workaround or a feature coming soon for this. It's sad as I thought the camera would automatically scan your preset positions - seems obvious to me.
Forgot to mention, that 32 GB memory in battery powered camera ir definitely too small, gives limited record length and will require cloud subscription to operate normally. C8W Pro is the best. Interesting fact, on box of C8W Pro it's written 3K instead of 2K. Is it true or just distribution error?
Those guys from Shiwojia offer some cameras with 8mp and 30x camHi auto patrol zoom for around 200$ would love to see you doing review on one of those.
The first lens is 1x zoom, for 2x - 3x zoom is digital zoom from the first lens. The second lens is 4x, for 5x - 8x zoom is digital. So if you need to zoom during playback, pick the files you need, either the 1x or 4x, then zoom it using video player or video editing software.
The best one I've tested is probably the Ezviz HB8. Maybe not the best image quality but the features it offers, like auto tracking, preset points etc..
@@dc09 No you don't need cloud subscription. It depends how often the camera wakes up and records. If you have it record 24/7 it only last a couple of days.

C8pf strong point is the second lens for 4x zoom. Doesnt have auto tracking, does not support preset location and audio output is very small, so two way comm. feature is useless.
hi, if the camera picks up motion and auto tracks to follow something does it then automatically return to its original position or does that have to be done manually though the app. eg, if it follows someone from the front gate to the door and then they go inside will it stay pointing at the door or will it then pan back to the front gate? Thanks

On their website they have C8W Pro 3K so I guess they use the same box for both maybe? Not sure though if the C8W Pro 3K is out on the market yet.

c8pf during playback/recording time can zoom or not.because this camera can zoom 8×.
It records two files, one from the 2.8mm lens and one from the 12mm lens. You can't zoom after its recorded.

Do they have human detection to send notifications to the app ? can you setup a sound/alarm on the camara to warn/scare unwanted visitors ?
They all have human detection but C8C don't have a speaker so it does not have a alarm sound but I think all the other have a alarm.

Yes, c8pf has 2 lenses, wide and tele.

Probably not. Did you upgrade to the latest firmware so you get auto tracking?
