It is really touching watching an artist being that profoundly inspired by his/her instrument. If I had the money, I'd like to buy me a FAZIOLI. If I had even more money, I would buy that Fazioli for Mr. Niemczuk.

@@gregniemczuk Sadly, you are perfectly right. It's paradoxical that the artists, who only are able to play these instruments properly, cannot afford them ...
It should not be like that.

@@oneirdaathnaram1376This is exactly what has been bothering me for decades. Knowing lots of fairly rich people myself, I see them buy expensive grands for furniture purposes and for showing of in their office buildings without being able to play one single note themselves. So to all those who have these (tens of) millions: choose a favorite musician and donate him or her the instrument they've always dreamt of. Not only talk the talk but also walk the walk, gather some friends and donate this absolutely beautiful and passionate musician a Fazioli

"I almost have tears in my eyes
    when I touch this piano ... "
    mir steht.
Und auch als Konzertflügel ist er
nicht zu groß für ein Wohnzimmer,
    denn er bietet eine wunderbare
    Palette von ppp bis mf.
    Bestens als Kammermusikflügel
    und für Liedbegleitung geeignet!
    PS
    ESTONIA baut auch wunderbare
    Instrumente, die ich insbesondere
    unter Berücksichtigung ihrer Preise
    als wirkliche Alternative zu den
    bekannten und etablierten Herstellern
    sehe.
Leider gibt es in Deutschland keinen
    Vertrieb, sodaß man ESTONIAs in
    Tallin kaufen muß ...

It feels like water-coloring the soul... Listening to performances on this brand for a year now, I came to the conclusion that it must be best for piano solo performance, or with voice or declamation mostly, for its golden light beams not to be covered by orchestra...

Even as a virtual instrument (in this case, the VI Labs True Keys Italian, modelled after the F308), Faziolis are just a different thing on their own. I trust my serious playing on this sound. And I get your explanation on the touch being able to paint different colours. Funny thing that such a large piano - the largest, even - can make the smallest sounds.
In his interview with James Pavel Shawcross (this one: ua-cam.com/video/2qCdzT69XsY/v-deo.html), Paolo Fazioli said it once that his pianos derive their sound from the Italian language - specifically the tradition of belcanto singing in Italian opera (he says "clear, elegant, long sustain, big dynamic range, remember (sic) the Italian language").

On a more practical level (not in the $$$$$$$ range), I was at a piano recital recently where a grand (a few inches shorter than a concert model) was the instrument and the award winning pianist's talents were not shining through - almost certain the same instrument (it was the same venue) was played by an equally talented pianist 12 or so months ago, and the piano sounded a lot better - the make of piano I won't reveal - perhaps the piano has not been maintained/regulated properly in recent months - anyway, never take for granted a good sounding piano in a public recital - most of the time, everything comes right and the many dedicated tuners/technicians must take credit for that - I can say the piano concerned was not a Fazioli - not to maintain a Fazioli properly would be borderline criminal !

the engineer who did the piano sound added reverb to the piano mics... the reverb was so high that the piano was out of tune.

In the end he never mentioned which fazioli model is he playing on..... btw he keeps mentioning abt color, imagine for non pianist looking at him talking abt the piano tone color, I bet they'd go 'this guy is crazy, what the heck is he talking abt' 😂😂😂

I'm not convinced, sorry, Faziolli is nowhere near a Steinway, as a matter of fact, no other brand is, Steinway is like a God, all the other brands are simply imitations. Yes I can hear the difference miles away, Faziolli is light years away from a Steinway. But I admire and respect your opinion, never saw a concert hall with a Faziolli. Can't imagine Carnegie Hall with a Faziolli 🙄

It all depends on the model. I agree that some models of Steinway can be the same!!! But no every one.

@@elsaesteves Not a bad piano, but my favorite is the Yamaha CFX, 2nd Steinway, 3rd Bössendorder Imperial, and the 4th is the Fazioli.
