- Chess Opening TRICK To WIN FAST: The Rousseau Gambit
In Today's video, I recommend the best chess opening gambit with black against the 1st move e4. It is the Rousseau Gambit (or Ponziani Countergambit) from the Italian Game (Giuoco Piano), which happens after the opening moves: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 f5.

I love the rousseau for intermediate players because it forces you to get comfortable with the idea of sacrificing for opening advantage, and many of the side lines force you to get comfortable with temporary sacrifices that you win back at the end. That crazy line you show where you have multiple mate threats is even better than just winning the queen for some pieces: most of his other pieces are trapped too. Youve sacrificed that material but you easily vacuum it up at the end.
This is just amazing, at 2:40, if the queen takes for a desparado, then there is a knight fork follow-up 😮😊
Your opponent is just gonna prepare a coffee cause they THINK they are gonna win, what if its a blitz game 😂😂😂
Total video accuracy 💯
I see you improved your camera, its not low fps now 😄
when i see people complain i listen and try my best to improve your visuals for the best experience 😅
I thought if the queen takes there is Qxe2 checkmate
@ZorkChess you can do that to end your opponent's misery, but you can also take the queen and fork the rook just for your opponent to resign or you torture them later on
I'm a Rousseau Gambit player and I know deep down, it isn't a good opening or gambit, but I also know, that isn't apparent right to white. You see, unlike other gambits, that are a bit dubious, your opponent can punish you somewhat quickly, maybe a 6 or 7 moves or something, the Rousseau gambit is bit different. It is a bad gambit, but it isn't a gambit that can punished in the short term, unlike other gambits. White players, need to be patient against the Rousseau gambit and the ones patient that exposes the gambit will win. The problem is, as chess players, we want punish what we think are dubious gambits quickly, and the Rousseau isn't something to punish quickly.
When the gambit is accepted,
1. e4 e5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Bc4 f5 4. exf5 e4 5. Nd4 Nxd4 6. Qh5+ g6
-> 7. fxg6 Nf6 8. g7+ Nxh5 9. gxh8=Q
-> 7. fxg6 Qf6 8. g7+ Kd8 9. gxh8=Q
etc..
is an interesting variation; 5...Nxd4 is actually a blunder.
Huge fan from India sir
Actually, I am studying about Rousseau in Social Science about the French Revolution
amazing author…
Me too😅😅
i just dominated 3 person with this !!!!! THANK YOU
This is 🔥🔥
How about opening videos about countering other openings like the scotch
Also after the spanish theres also the jaenish gambit which is simular to the rousseau with f4 would you recommend it
Totally insane wholly bonkers completely nuts outright incredible!!!
I love this gambit! Thanks for your hard work!! :D
Good vid bro
We love these videos❤
wow i actually play that opening
0:40 Better to play d5 before Nf6. Qh5+ is a mistake.
3:59 If you are hoping for Ng5 by white, play Bc5 because then Ng5 leads to quick checkmate, better than 0.0-ish positions in the video.
Have been searching for something new to play for a long time.... And this is just perfect I might even win my next school tournament. Absolutely mind blowing video. Booooooom!!!!!!😂😂 Also tell your favorite piece in the reply. My personal favourite was always Da RUKH
So its like Vienna gambit but theres a bishop on c4
At 2:20 what if white takes the pawn on E3 with pawn on F2
Nxc2+ Kf1 followed by Rb8 wins… if Bishop check just play Kd8 and if he tries to remove his rook from a1, play Bd3+ Ne2 and now the tactical move is Kb4 double attack on the bishop on c6 + the bishop attacks the rook on b1 😅
Castling is smart in some position- so there!!!
People be careful after exf5, e4, Nd4!! DON'T TAKE THE KNIGHT as Qh5+
3:31 cant queen go to ₱d5 and fork
If the white queen goes d5, the black queen takes. Diagonal is covered by black queen
What if after after knight to f6 in 0:42 then opponent protect their pawn by pushing pawn to g4
my guy your video format is very good i like it but your web camera lags or is 30 fps so its very hard to wath to it i wish you good luck
i appreciate you trying to help my friend. Is it lagging all the time or maybe it’s due to the cuts in edit. Do you mind sharing the time at which it lags pls?
@@chessscape i saw in start very much lagging like its 30 fps but chess is not lagging
I don’t play against my friends…
3:57
Hmm I might play this in a tournament, news will come tomorrow about how I did
how did it go?
@@chessscape I qualified for the next round! I also beat a very strong 1700 even tho I am 1200
@@Scratch3.0Tutorials wow amazing! try and play each position without thinking too much about your opponents elo. We often make the mistake to play different moves according to who we have in front of us. play the position not the player.
@@chessscape ah ok
For those who play piano:
🤫🤫🤫🤫
At 4:06 what if white plays Nc3???
What is the name of this opening
Italian game rousseau gambit
the rousseau gambit or ponziani
Ok
Love the way you say 'Poooshhh' so aggressively when referring to the advancing the pawn !!! lol

WHY CHESSSCAPE WHY?????????
YOU MADE Y OPEINNG WEAPON PUBLIC
haha sorry Shivek but i’m here to show our friends how to win and crush everyone 😅
Chess is easy stop over exaggerating
Thanks a lot for this so nice gambit! 😊♟️
I just used it and dominated the game until the win! Thanks!
booom!!
Of course we enjoyed the video 👍🏻
thx ❤
There is actually a refutation to this gambit. It involves an early f3 after Bb5
ua-cam.com/video/5rsKiFhpdqI/v-deo.htmlsi=WEWn2qHIi3C4UHlR
And what to do if the white takes the e3 pawn with the F2 pawn at 2:21 😢 ??
Nxc2+ Kf1 followed by Rb8 wins… if Bishop check just play Kd8 and if he tries to remove his rook from a1, play Bd3+ Ne2 and now the tactical move is Kb4 double attack on the bishop on c6 + the bishop attacks the rook on b1 😅
@@chessscape thanks 🙏
The best move is d4, can you show how to counter that?
No, he can't because he is a drama queen.
isnt this just the vienna gambit on black?
Next video: Winning is blunder
it is look like lukihini gambit
Just use the sicillian
i wanna be his friend
I am found it
I used to play this but it's losing because the knight can just jump in the center anyway
This is kinda romantic chess.
1:25 theres another variation where he goes d3 you go nd4 he moves the queen to d1 then KNIGHT C3+ he takes with the queen and pawn takes d3 discovered check forks king and queen
It's in the video
@@PizzaSlices2000 nope
knight c2+ you mean?
Yep Nc2+ right
